But it's true—this kind of info is just plain boring. That’s why it’s way easier to soak up information from some gorgeous commercial, all bathed in that warm orange glow for Kraft Heinz ready meals and Coca-Cola pizzas, rather than digging through a dry book or tuning into non-commercial channels for "real facts."

And honestly, I'm guilty too. I’d much rather binge a mindless, relaxing show than sit through an hour of serious news on PBS. It’s just easier to grab a quick coffee and rush out the door a little earlier to make that extra five bucks. Then, when we eventually hit those years with chronic health issues, we'll probably just tell ourselves it was bound to happen anyway...

placidfox55, that's exactly what I mean when I talk about things here in the States—everyone wants simplicity and efficiency, but even the "classic" way of prepping and buying food has become so complicated.

It’s all pretty solvable if you actually know how to whip up a simple, healthy breakfast that hits all the nutrient marks our bodies need... without leaving us starving an hour later. Once those illnesses start showing up (like you mentioned), we’ll suddenly find ourselves looking for all the information we ignored when we didn't need it.

Stick to complex carbs—think oatmeal—lots of veggies, and don't go overboard on the fruit. Just doing that will make a massive difference, and if you hit the gym three times a week, you’ll see great results and actually feel good about yourself.
I wish someone had pointed me toward this path when I was seventeen... 😢

All this is solid advice, really—but trying to balance all those requirements while simultaneously cutting calories can leave you spinning in circles... that's usually when getting active helps jumpstart everything.

If your goal is to slim down while actually staying healthy—and maybe keeping your mental health intact too—you should probably chat with a doctor. Just ask for a nutritional plan that actually supports your body.

I haven't met a single person who's ever walked away from a doctor with a solid, actionable weight loss program. Let's be real here.

I already covered the rest of my thoughts in my previous post, so I won't bore you by repeating myself. 😁
Karen Green said:I’m guessing you're pitching that Herbalife Omega as the perfect balance of price and quality—you sure are an open book.

If something is actually good, I probably shouldn't mention it since that would be too "obvious"—though, to be fair, the capsules themselves are transparent 😁—but if everyone could spot high quality that easily, it wouldn't really matter, right? Go ahead, spill it. 🙂

A lot of us still remember having to swallow a spoonful of fish oil every single day when we were kids just to stay healthy. We all remember that awful taste. Everyone posts about it here—the smell, the flavor, all that grossness. 😢

Hey, to each their own. Everyone makes their own choices based on what works or what they can afford. My life isn't a dress rehearsal, so I'm just going to stick with what's best for me... 🙂 👍

madd said:I actually got into Herbalife because my cousin is a distributor—plus some folks on this forum have had good things to say about it. I tried combining Herbalife with the Herbalife zone, just like that MacGregor guy suggested. Don't go blaming him, though—that was entirely my call, mostly because his posts seemed pretty grounded to me. Honestly, I couldn't stick to the zone; it felt way too complicated, so I ended up just eating an apple a day.

I feel like I need to jump in here because it seems like people are missing the point—and honestly, I’m worried you might be too—and things are starting to get a bit nonsensical.

Just because your cousin is a distributor doesn't mean she knows exactly what she's doing... in fact, people who operate that way often end up failing because they miss the actual goal.

If you want to lose weight HEALTHILY, you need to:

- Eat 3-5 MEALS throughout the day—meaning at least three meals and two snacks. A meal is generally considered anything over 220 kcal, so an apple can't count as a meal; it’s just a snack.
- Drink at least 2 liters of water daily.
- Cut down on total calories.
- Increase (or at least maintain) your intake of all essential nutrients.

So, if you're starting a weight loss plan using Herbalife, you SHOULD still keep one regular meal (if you want), but swap out the other two for shakes (Formula 1). Each shake is roughly 220-250 kcal and packs all the nutrients your body needs.
Basically, Herbalife meal replacements help lower your calorie intake while still feeding your cells. Since they're based on soy protein, which acts as building material for your body, you won't feel that constant hunger signal hitting your brain.

It is technically possible to live on shakes alone, but you'd have to hit your caloric minimum (at least 1200 kcal), which means drinking about 5 or 6 shakes a day.

I don't know what your current weight is, but if you're only having one apple and two shakes a day, you're overdoing the deficit and that isn't good for you. Typically, healthy weight loss averages about 6-11 lbs a month for men—it might be more the first month if you're carrying extra weight, but that average holds true. For women, it's usually closer to 4-9 lbs per month.

I agree that the zone is a bit much to manage, so finding a balance with everything is probably the best way to go.

Quick question: how long has your cousin been doing this, and does she actually provide "follow-up"—as in, does she check in with you every day?
Karen Green said:Honestly, these look pretty solid to me—plus they're way cheaper than Nature's Way. These are $9.00 90 "pearls" for $90.

Sorry, but at that price point, you might as well be buying margarine instead of Omega-3—at least not if you want the good stuff. 😎
silvermason16 said:and by the way, Calimero, what kind of Omega Pearls are we talking about
with essential oils?

I can't really say here—don't want anyone thinking I'm pitching something—so just shoot me a private message and I'll get back to you. 👋
dustycanyon6 said:Well, Omega-3 fatty acids come from fish! What did you expect them to smell like? Lavender? 😁

Yeah, true—but I mean, what else would you expect besides fish oil? 😕

I've been using an Omega-3 that has this new "anti-reflux" feature—it pretty much gets rid of that gross fishy aftertaste while you're taking it and later during digestion. They did it by adding essential oils like thyme, peppermint, and clove.
Honestly, you can't even tell there's fish oil in it, which is pretty great. 👍

If you're looking for an ad in every single sentence—well, I guess you'll find one. 😵

As long as you're talking nonsense, expect someone to try and talk sense into you 🙂
... or at least have a good laugh at your expense. 😁 😂

Casey Palmer5 said:Do you really think I have nothing better to do with my life than try to prove something to someone who isn't even proven?

If it’s any consolation—and you can take it up with the Water Department if you want—that's on you.

Besides, I'm buried in work lately, so I don't exactly have the bandwidth to keep tabs on every little marketing stunt you pull.

Rest assured, the Water Department will definitely be hearing about how you're handling things.

It’s honestly pretty sad seeing such biased people acting as judge and jury—deciding what's allowed and who gets to speak... and the worst part is, they just shut down anyone they don't personally "like" for no reason at all. 👎

Anyway, moving on... 👋

Gregory Turner71 said:They’re either breaking the rules or just being arrogant. 🙄

I don't think it's about arrogance—it's more about having the same right to talk things through and share thoughts regardless of where someone's from, their education, race, religion, or gender... who knows what else. It really just comes down to democracy and free speech, because it feels pretty obvious that some people are being given more weight than others here.😠

Gregory Turner71 said:They say about 2% of the population—which includes me (yay... 🙄 )—deals with this incredibly tedious condition...

So, I thought it might be helpful to have a thread here where us 2% "lucky" winners could swap stories, tips, or just virtually lean on each other for support.

Anyway, is there anyone else here dealing with this nuisance? How are you managing, any smart advice, or anything at all?

If the point of this thread is just COMPLAINING, then I probably shouldn't have bothered posting in the first place... but if the goal is EXCHANGING EXPERIENCES AND ADVICE... then I have every right to share my own journey and conclusions. And anyone trying to dispute that has plenty of legal options to deal with. 😉

You absolutely have the right to have psoriasis and vent to people who feel the same way... but you also have the option to check the facts and meet people who actually cleared up that (annoying) skin issue. I can facilitate that for you—I can even give you the NAME AND CONTACT INFO for someone I know for a fact beat psoriasis, so you can reach out directly (without me involved), get some firsthand advice, and maybe—if you want—start the path toward getting better.

But honestly, for a lot of people, the goal isn't healing, it's just endless complaining... and in that case, I'm sorry I even stepped into the fray, sorry. 😢

Casey Palmer5 said:Honestly, it feels a bit pointless to even reply—since the excuse for deleting my posts and banning me is always the same: supposedly being rude or pushing products.

Can you actually point to a single instance in this thread (or anywhere else) where I—SPECTACULAR—have tried to sell someone something or advertise a product?

The fact that I talk about health in a way that doesn't sit right with you (or anyone else) is something we could debate... if we wanted to, I guess. 🤔

It’s just sad—this forum is called "Health," yet actual health doesn't seem to be the priority here. It feels more like what certain people think matters most, preventing others from sharing their perspectives or backing up their claims, regardless of the facts or arguments presented.

So, I'm waiting... where is a single product mentioned or advertised in this discussion?

Seriously, where have I—SPECTACULAR—ever promoted a product, if that's truly the reason behind my ban?

There's a remedy for that kind of overstepping (and no, that isn't a medical ad 😁), and I am genuinely asking you to start acting like the moderator you're supposed to be. Just because you're a future doctor doesn't give you the right to insult or dismiss anyone who doesn't fall in line with your views or agree with the "official medical consensus." At the end of the day, HEALTH is the absence of disease, while you and the medical field focus entirely on the diseases themselves.

Bottom line—I expect the ban on the SPECTACULAR account to be lifted. Your reasoning and explanations don't align with the decision to ban someone simply because they're inconvenient to you, and trust me, I won't stop asking. 😉 🙂

How could I not have the energy?

Come on, walk me through the reasoning behind this ban...
Do you actually have a logical explanation backed by facts—or is this just your personal opinion, a whim, or maybe just the result of some "inner circle" clique of people who love to hear themselves talk?

I'm waiting... 🙂

ps: I've already sent complaints elsewhere—enough is enough!
