George Sullivan13 said:So, do they just need a scan of a driver's license, or does it seriously have to be a passport?
Does anyone actually know why they're being so pushy about this?

A passport

They want it because they need to verify a few things:
1. That you're actually an adult
2. To make sure you aren't running multiple accounts
3. To cut down on fraud
4. To stop money laundering
+ plenty of other reasons, honestly.

For instance,
someone could open a bunch of different accounts and—say someone is dealing with illegal income—they deposit cash into several different sportsbooks, place some bets, and then withdraw the funds to their bank account to effectively wash the money. Makes sense, right?
The thing is, there are limits on deposits; we're talking up to maybe $3,000, though bigger US sportsbooks might allow up to $10,000.
Some places have monthly limits, some have quarterly ones, and so on...

I used a betting site at home, but I want to switch because the minimum withdrawal is $80, whereas with Bwin it’s only $30... does anyone have experience with Bwin? Especially regarding payouts (I'm from the US). I know that for the first withdrawal, they need copies of documents, IDs, or something like that.

How on earth do you think you "had" to copy your ID??? You literally have to send them a scan of your document—I mean, are these people even sane?

You just scan your passport and email it over.
With Bet365, I sent mine right away and got a code immediately at home, which I entered on their site to prove I was of age.
Every single sportsbook is going to ask you for that during your first withdrawal; honestly, it's best to just send it right after you register.
With Bwin, you wait a little longer, but they’re fine.

Gary White2 said:I signed up for Bet365, dropped $100, grabbed a $100 bonus, and put that whole $100 on a single bet.

I don't get this rollover crap. Can someone explain what's actually going on here?

you will need to rollover your deposit and bonus three times prior to making a withdrawal.

Does that mean I have to wager $300 total, or does it mean I have to wager $300 for the deposit AND another $300 for the bonus—like $600 total—before I can actually touch my money?

You have to wager a total of 3x (bonus + deposit), which in your case means $600.

You can bet $1 at a time or whatever you want; it doesn't matter, as long as you hit their requirement.
And you gotta stick to odds of at least 1.6.

It’s not that hard to meet the terms; there's always something you can hit.

Andrew Rogers6 said:Honestly, this whole online betting thing... I don't know, man. It’s like the money isn't even real, you know? Like I'm playing with Monopoly cash or something. I'll just drop $33 on a total whim and suddenly I've hit a massive $333 win. If I were at an actual physical sportsbook, I would never dream of doing something that reckless. Then, out of nowhere, it's 3:00 AM and I'm staring at some random underdog in the second division of a league I didn't even know existed...

I've realized it's just not my speed—at least not right now. :S

Look, at the start, if you actually have a goal—and that goal is to make some real money—then it’s not an issue at all.

Just make sure you send over all your documents before you try to withdraw, and you won't run into any headaches.

With Bet365, you absolutely have to verify your account first.
Basically, you just upload scans of your US Passport—make sure to get both sides—and then after a few days, they mail a verification code to your house. You just plug that code in to wrap up the registration process.
Once that’s done, you're good to go to deposit funds and start playing.

Andrew Rogers6 said:Online gambling is fucking evil!!

What exactly makes it "evil"?
Seriously, what’s the actual difference between walking into a local sportsbook and doing it online?
Anyone with an addiction is going to spend their entire life hanging out at a betting shop anyway; they'll lose everything regardless, constantly clutching those losing tickets and piling ten or twenty different parlays onto a single slip.
Give it 20 or 30 years, and those neighborhood betting shops will probably all be gone.
Sure, these overseas online sites are available 24/7, but at the end of the day, you just have to have some damn self-control.

Andrew Rogers6 said:Does anyone out there have a spare five bucks they could toss my way for some action on BetMGM? And look, I’m not looking for any strings attached—no favors, no weird catches, nothing. Just a little boost to get things moving. Anyone feeling generous? 😁

Is there a crisis going on or what? Seriously, does anyone else feel like everything is just hitting the fan lately? I mean, look around—it feels like we're constantly bracing for the next big shake-up. Is it just me, or is the whole vibe just... off?😁😁

Sean Lee6 said:Does anyone actually know which sportsbooks let you use PayPal for deposits? I feel like I’m constantly jumping from site to site just trying to find one that doesn't make the checkout process a total nightmare. Which ones are actually reliable with it?

I mean, seriously, how hard is it to figure this out? You can literally just hop onto the sportsbook's website and check the deposit section. It’s right there! They list exactly which payment methods they accept, plain as day. Why are we even debating this? Just go look!

Is it actually a sure thing that I'll get that $100 bonus on Bet365?

Oh, absolutely—10000% guaranteed, provided it's your very first deposit and you actually drop a full hundred bucks on it.

Mark Brown80 said:Hey guys, so I just signed up on Betway today, right? But when I go to actually place my bet, I get hit with this ridiculous error message: "This wager exceeds your single betting limit of 0." Like, seriously? How am I supposed to fix this? I’ve tried tweaking the stake, changing things around, but it’s the same damn thing every single time. Anyone have a clue? Thanks.

Just shoot an email over to support.

Jamie Jones19 said:So, I put down $100 on the American spread and that hit, but then I used a $100 bonus on the Slovakia spread and that was a bust.
Now it’s showing me that I have $190 available to withdraw 🤷

Does it really not matter that I blew the bonus?

It doesn't matter if you lost it, man. It's the deposits that count. You basically have to deposit a total of $600 before you can actually pull any cash out.
Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
Jamie Jones19 said:No way!

The big question is, what are the actual terms on Bet365 for their bonus, and how many times do I have to roll it over?
And do I have to wager the entire amount or just the bonus itself?
Let's say I deposit $100 and they toss me another $100.
Am I looking at something like 200 * 2.0 = 400, then 400 * 2.0 = 800, then 800 * 2.0 = 1600, or how does this math even work?

You actually have to wager the total amount three times—both the bonus and your stake combined.
So, if you had $20, you'd need to place bets totaling $600, using minimum odds of 1.6.
Basically, once you've put down a total of $300, that bonus finally clears and is yours.

Sean Lee6 said:Has anyone actually used FanDuel?
I see they have basically every live option under the sun. 😲 🙏

By the way, if anyone is working with PayPal, hit me up. Looking to talk commission, obviously.

Look, I can give you the lowdown on my experience with Bet365 and Betway for live betting.

They’ve got almost every sport imaginable plus a massive selection.
The stuff I’ve personally hit for live bets: soccer, indoor soccer, tennis, and hockey.

With Bet365, the interface feels a bit old-school—like it hasn't been updated in years—but don't let that fool you into thinking they aren't solid.
If you can't find a specific bet you want, just shoot them an email and they’ll set it up for you live.
For example, if you’re dying to bet on a specific scoreline that isn't listed, just message support and they'll get it live for you.

FanDuel is a decent sportsbook, but if you're serious about live action, Betway and Bet365 are the real heavy hitters.

I've heard some chatter about Betway having issues and whatnot, but hey, they sponsor Real Madrid, so I highly doubt there are any major structural problems. If things go sideways, it's probably just the support staff being incompetent.
As for those rumors about fighting them just to get your payouts? Honestly, I haven't seen that myself.

One thing I will say, though, is that FanDuel has a killer casino section.
I haven't really placed sports bets with them, but I do have an account.

Larry Ward48 said:Look, can someone give me a hand here? I'm trying to figure out if it's actually better to bet with American sites or stick to those international online sportsbooks. Do the local US books offer any perks or better terms than the big foreign ones, or is it the other way around? Also, based on your own experience, which online book would you personally recommend? Doesn't matter if it's an American one or an international one. 🙂

Thanks in advance for the help! 🙂

bet365, Pinnacle, Unibet.
As for domestic US books? Honestly, nothing worth mentioning.
With the international ones, you can deposit anytime, 24/7.

Oh, and one more thing—if you’re looking to move some serious cash, Pinnacle is the place to be. They actually welcome high rollers; depending on the matchup, you can drop up to $55,000 on a single bet. It’s a total game-changer compared to other spots.
Meanwhile, Bet365 is much more restrictive, slapping limits on you depending on which league you're looking at.
For instance, if you’re betting on the big five European leagues, they might cap you at just $1,600 over a 24-hour period. Can you believe that? Talk about being held back!
On the bright side, their live betting selection is actually pretty solid. I’ve spent plenty of time playing soccer, tennis, hockey, and even futsal on there.
And here’s a little pro tip: if there’s a specific result you want to bet on but they don't have it listed, just shoot an email to their support team. Seriously, they'll often set up a live option for you with a specific odd.
Also, with Pinnacle, you can basically "create" your own markets. Like, if they’re offering an over/under of 5.5 baskets, you can just ask them for a 7.5 line and they'll give you a price for it. It gives you so much more control!

So, I’ve got accounts scattered across a few different sportsbooks, though most of my action has been through Bet365 and DraftKings.
To be fair, my time over at DraftKings was just playing with five bucks I snagged from a promo, but honestly? It was a great experience, especially hitting those live bets. It’s weird because I see so many people on other forums constantly whining about their service, but I didn't have that issue.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that they cap you at eight legs per slip, whether you're doing a straight bet or a parlay. Plus, you're looking at a minimum stake of somewhere between fifty cents to a buck for any combo plays.

Joshua Garcia8 said:Bet365 is supposedly great at tennis 😕 but honestly? I don't see it. Our local US sportsbooks actually offer way better tennis odds than they do.

I don't know, man. I used to mess around with live betting all the time. Like, betting on whether an opponent would break serve, or just guessing the exact score of a game.😂😂 😁 😁
Something like winning by 15 points or whatever.
Once I finally figured out the logic behind service games, the odds were sitting at 3.75 for a player to hold during their opponent's service—though obviously, that depends entirely on who's on the court. I managed to nail it twice in a row, putting down 20 bucks each time, and what do those vultures do? They immediately slashed my odds from 3.75 down to 2.8! Can you believe that?😁 😁
Honestly, I had the best luck when there was no live stream available. As soon as they started broadcasting the match, I’d just get completely confused by everything happening.😂 😂

Jamie Jones19 said:I'm jumping ship! This is unbelievable—I've been waiting over a month for bwin to actually pay out my winnings, and even when I shoot them an email, they don't even bother to reply.
After my third follow-up, they promised me the money would be in my account within five days. Well, it's been ten days now and still nothing. So, I just sent them a message letting them know I'm going to sue them. 🤷

Does anyone else have a solid recommendation for NBA or tennis betting where they actually pay out within a day or two?

http://www.pinnaclesports.com/

That's an American sportsbook, though they had to move operations offshore because of some legal headache here in the States.
They honestly have the best lines you'll find for American sports.
As for tennis, Bet365 is pretty damn solid too.
