It sounds reasonable enough, though I have to admit I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about diving headfirst into spirituality. There's this nagging fear that if I start poking around, I might actually screw something up—you know, stir up the wrong kind of ghosts or mess with energies I don't understand 😈 and all that nonsense. Beyond that, I spend most of my time being a pretty hardline atheist; I've never had much patience for any of that mystical fluff 😁. I'm genuinely torn on whether I should even bother exploring these Eastern philosophies. Honestly, I can't stand how it always seems to boil down to just picking a side in some endless religious tug-of-war 🙄
I consider myself just another dysfunctional soul juggling a handful of diagnoses. It honestly feels like I’ve signed a lifetime contract to spend every waking moment sliding into depression. If only I could actually dedicate my life to something more intellectually stimulating 🙄

Well, since you're actually asking... 👎
I am honestly at my wit's end here—I’ve practically started pulling my hair out in pure desperation because I simply cannot wrap my head around why anyone would consider these songs anything other than total trash. 🙂

Thanks for the tip; I actually downloaded it and gave it a full listen. Musically speaking, it didn't quite grab me, but there are moments where the lyrics are absolutely stunning.
"But you are what you love, Tim And not what loves you back And I’m in love with illusions So saw me in half..."
But honestly, out of all those highly acclaimed female singer-songwriters, she’s the one I struggle with the most:
1. Phoebe Bridgers
Now, don't get me wrong—I certainly recognize her talent—but her style feels so incredibly detached that something just doesn't click for me. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe that emotional distance is actually an asset, so I suppose I'll give her another fair shake. I really did enjoy her covers album, though.
I have such a deep affinity for R.E.M., but on this particular album, they seemed to lose their way (is it gone for good??)
R.E.M. - At my most beautiful
I’ve found a way to make you I’ve found a way A way to make you smile
I read bad poetry Into your machine I save your messages Just to hear your voice You always listen carefully To awkward rhymes You always say your name, Like I wouldn’t know it’s you, At your most beautiful
At my most beautiful I count your eyelashes, secretly With every one, whisper I love you I let you sleep I know you’re closed eye watching me, Listening Listening I thought I saw a smiling face 🙂 🙂 🙂
Honestly, to me, it isn't just something tolerable; it's absolutely sweet. The difference being 😕
I completely get the people who think this stuff is basically garbage and that forcing someone to listen to this kind of music would be a form of torture. At the same time, I can see why some folks might actually find a certain pleasure in such delicate melodies. Usually, though, my own mood lands me firmly in that first camp.
