gentleskipper14 said:I’m actually still on vacation through tomorrow, so I won't be heading back to the office until then. Honestly, I have no idea how anyone manages to layer this stuff on so thick—it feels totally weird to the touch when you apply it like that 🤷.
I ended up being an hour late to work this morning because I was too busy "gluing" my face together...😂
I seriously had no clue that foundation could cover dark circles this well...😲
My skin isn't even really problematic, so I've never used much makeup before—I've definitely never put this much on in my entire life, and I probably never will again...
Oh, and I realized it looks way better if you gently tap it on instead of just smearing it all over!
(Okay, maybe that’s common sense to everyone else, but since I’ve never applied this much product at once, I had to say it 🤷)
Quick heads-up for anyone who’s recently gone under the knife...
So, I headed out to the local CVS today to grab some more saline solution—I totally burned through my first bottle just rinsing my nose—and while I was stuck waiting in line, something caught my eye on the shelf. The packaging specifically asked: "Congested nose?" 😁
I mean, seriously? Are you talking to me?
Anyway, I won't ramble too much, but I ended up grabbing this little device for $30. Honestly, if you want clear sinuses, this thing is a total game-changer. I used it and managed to pull out this thick mucus with a bit of blood that there was absolutely no way I could have cleared by blowing my nose—not that we're allowed to blow our noses too hard after surgery, as most of you probably know anyway.
It’s called the Rhino Horn. Some of you might already be familiar with it, but I spent so much time scrolling through posts here before my procedure and didn't see a single mention of it—if I had, I would’ve bought it way sooner...
http://www.yogaprosess.com/america/rhinohorn.htmlThe sensation is wild... you feel the water rushing into one nostril and you're just bracing for it to trickle down your throat... but instead, it comes blasting out the other side along with all the junk. 😲
I don't know if the mod is going to come after me for basically running an ad, but I swear I have zero connection to the manufacturer—I just genuinely want to pass along a tip that actually worked for me! 👍
Look, you’re claiming your nose is way too big for your face, but all you showed us was a close-up of your nose—not the actual face it belongs to! I get it, you probably don't want anyone recognizing you, but without seeing the full picture, I can't give you an honest opinion... why? Well, let me tell you, everyone told me after my own procedure that a different nose would look ridiculous or fake on me, but since I have a narrow face, this smaller nose actually matches perfectly!
As for men and their noses—since we don't want your ego getting too huge—every single guy I've dated had a larger or "imperfect" nose because, honestly, it's just something that attracts me. It sounds a bit blunt, I know, but to me, that's what a real man looks like. I am definitely not into those "pretty boy" types like Brad Pitt... My fiancé has a prominent nose, but it suits him perfectly (and he's a total catch), and I swear I'd kill him if he ever even thought about getting surgery. Of course, it hasn't even crossed his mind because his nose is part of his character—and let me tell you, it was a total magnet for women before I snatched him up!😁
Hey everyone!
I’ve been lurking here for over a month, reading through all your posts and obsessing over the oblica details in private, but here I am—two days post-op...
Now, full disclosure: I am a total wimp when it comes to pain. My threshold is basically non-existent.
I wasn't nervous about the surgery at all, though. In fact, I was actually cracking jokes with the nurses and the anesthesiologist while lying on the table... right up until they knocked me out (they were probably just relieved I finally shut up 😁).
When I woke up, I was actually shocked that nothing hurt and I didn't feel nauseous at all. Eleven years ago, when I had my tonsils out, I felt absolutely miserable and couldn't stop throwing up after the anesthesia. It was awful.
My nose is naturally quite small and narrow. A lot of people have asked me why on earth I’d bother getting surgery on it, but honestly, I couldn't breathe properly because of a deviated septum, plus my left nasal passage was constantly stuffed up. From a profile view, I also had this tiny bump and it leaned slightly to the right. To me, it was super noticeable, even if others didn't see it much.
The whole thing took two hours—an hour longer than they planned because I bled quite a bit (apparently I have sensitive capillaries). My cartilage was also fractured in two places, which is why it looked crooked visually.
Yesterday, I went in to get the packing removed. I preemptively took some Voltaren rapid + Diazepam just to relax (that's what they usually give you before anesthesia anyway). At one point, the pain hit me pretty hard—so I gave the doctor a little "ouch!" haha—but luckily it passed quickly.
On Thursday, I’m going back to have the splints removed and get cleaned out, so I’ll probably dose myself up again beforehand.😁
Right now, I’ve got a syringe filled with saline to use at home; shoving non-sterile cotton swabs up my nose sounds like a terrible idea to me...
At night, I fall into this deep sleep where I end up waking myself up because of these weird noises I make—it's like I'm playing a flute through my nose...😂
I wouldn't say it hurts, per se, but there's definitely this dull ache and pressure inside my nose...
Okay, now for the tea on the doctor...
Glusac is incredibly competent. He’s a bit blunt/rough around the edges, but I trusted him completely. Besides, he’s an ENT, and I wouldn't dream of letting a plastic surgeon poke around my breathing organs!
Here’s a funny little detail: while I was waiting for my turn, a nurse shoved some magazines into my hands. I started flipping through them and realized the women's fashion mags were totally outdated... I looked at the cover and it was a magazine from 1999! Hahaha.
Basically, they aren't paying enough attention to detail to realize they should be offering you coffee or a chat, or providing a selection of current issues of Vogue, Cosm, and everything else.
Personally, I don't really care about those things—you know, the stuff where they spend way too much time (and money) on the office decor and minor details that don't actually impact the surgery or their skill level.
It reminds me of this high-tech dental office I went to once, where the doctor talks to the nurses via a headset microphone, yet the entire focus is just on the tooth... and let me tell you, they charged me way more than anywhere else.
Anyway, that's all for now. I'm going to go grab something for dinner. It doesn't really matter what I eat since nothing has any taste right now, but oh well...
Well, I guess I’m officially joining the club—I’m stuck wearing a size 1, and honestly, it’s such a toss-up which models actually work. Some just feel way too big...😢
For instance, those rigid strapless ones? They feel like I'm wearing a suit of armor. It looks totally unnatural, just awful...
Anyway, whenever I'm trying stuff on, I make sure to wear a shirt underneath first so I can see how it sits over my clothes... if anything looks weird or lumpy, I'm not buying it, period...
I should probably mention that I don't own a ton of them; I usually just find a few reliable ones that actually fit, and then I end up wearing them constantly until they're completely worn out—then I have to go out and buy more...😢
Then again, I’m pretty self-conscious about everything, so I probably shouldn't get too carried away...
But seriously, it drives me absolutely crazy seeing girls who are super thin like me, yet somehow managing to have huge breasts!!!!
How can anyone say it doesn't work? I've got the proof sitting right here in my desk drawer!
It's from Pfizer—comes in that white and orange box... there are 6 vaginal inserts per pack...
