Intel Visa in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·

So, I'm supposed to just walk up to the teller and say, "Hey, turn these euros into dollars for me"... sure, thanks for the tip.
Intel Visa in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I have a question.

I recently opened a foreign currency account at JPMorgan Chase. The account is held in USD.

Since then, I’ve deposited about $200 and successfully made three online purchases using my Intel card.

My balance was sitting at around $35. Today, I tried to make another purchase for $85, so I headed down to the branch with $133 (~$80) in cash, intending to deposit it into the account so I could cover the cost.

After I deposited those $133, I came home, only to find the transaction wouldn't go through. I kept getting an error message—even though this card usually works fine on this specific site—despite the fact that I should have had over $100 in the account. At least, that's what I thought, because

When I checked my receipt, which was marked as a "currency sale," I realized that from my $133, I actually ended up buying 55€. That wasn't my intention at all.

So now, on this account which is supposed to be in dollars, I’m holding $35 and 55€. It seems because I didn't explicitly demand dollars instead of euros, the teller didn't ask for clarification and just converted my USD into euros before depositing them into my dollar account.

Is this why my purchase is being declined? Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I'm planning to head back to JPMorgan Chase tomorrow...

(In the past, my deposit slips always specified I was buying dollars and everything went smoothly. Clearly, the teller today got mixed up; everyone else has always converted my funds into dollars without issue.)

I hope that makes sense. Waiting for your thoughts. 🙂
Sore throat in Health ·
I had something pretty similar pop up after dealing with a brutal sore throat last November—right before I finally quit smoking. It wouldn't go away; it was white and looked almost like a pimple. It was sitting on the left side of my throat, right near the tonsil. I went to see my doctor, and she told me everything was fine. She said it was just a salivary gland that had become more prominent because of all those frequent infections. She didn't prescribe anything, and honestly, it’s still there, but it hasn't caused any issues since. Don't panic, and whatever you do, don't try to scrape or touch it. Just go see a doctor in

(It would probably be a good idea to quit smoking 🙂)
