Outlook to Gmail emails are bouncing back in IT Support ·
So, I picked up a new laptop and got Microsoft Office 2016 installed—everything seemed fine initially:
But whenever I try to send an email from Outlook (using my AT&T account) to a Gmail address, it just bounces back.
This is what I get:

Had this happen on my other laptop once—I clicked something, fixed it, and honestly can't remember what.
I went ahead and enabled IMAP in Gmail like it suggested, but still nothing.
If anyone knows what’s going on, I’d appreciate the help—this is driving me nuts.

I've got this old PC lying around—might be worth salvaging the case, though I haven't actually checked what's inside yet.
If anyone would be willing to put together a parts list for roughly $1667, I'd really appreciate the help.
I'm looking for everything—motherboard, PSU, CPU, a GPU that handles OpenGL (v3.3 minimum), RAM, an SSD... the whole works.
Mainly for modeling and rendering work—Blender, SolidWorks, and 3ds Max.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not really into that sort of thing myself—but I don't mind watching.
I feel bad for my laptop—I was actually really happy with it, truly... it was such a great machine. Now? I formatted the drive one day, reinstalled Windows 10 along with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Photoshop, and suddenly everything is just flying.
If I screw this up—I'm definitely going to regret it.

It's pretty obvious who spends their time watching YouTube nonsense👍
Yeah, well—I picked it up from some guy on YouTube myself.😵😵😵

Plus—you'd get a way faster processor, more RAM, and an SSD... This one's already a few years old and honestly, whether you want to admit it or not, it's probably ready for retirement. 😁

Look, I know it's outdated—that's exactly why I'm looking to tinker with it a bit.

Alexander Diaz4 said:+ I have no idea how much time I'll waste dealing with compatibility headaches—troubleshooting just to end up with a mediocre result. It’s definitely not a "plug and play" situation, especially since we aren't talking about modern laptops, let alone ancient tech from 2007.

That’s exactly why I’m asking for advice... if I mess this up, I'll just tell my wife the hardware died on its own and convince her to donate for an upgrade.😁

Anyway, if I decide to pull the trigger on this, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Funny enough—a decent new laptop is gonna set me back $1,500, while this thing? Only about $400.

I’m no expert here, so I’m looking for some advice.
So, I’ve got this old Dell laptop from back in 2007—still holds up surprisingly well (Intel Pentium Dual-Core M300, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon 4570 graphics, etc.). It actually handles SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3ds Max just fine for now.
My issue is with Blender. Version 2.7 runs perfectly, but 2.8 and 2.9 are a struggle—turns out my graphics card doesn't support OpenGL 3.3, which seems to be the baseline for Blender 2.9.
I was thinking about bypassing the internal hardware by swapping the Wi-Fi card for an external GPU via a mini PCIe expansion slot—basically pull the Wi-Fi card, grab an eGPU dock, a decent card, and a power supply. Supposedly, that should do the trick.
Is that even doable?
And would this specific card work...
Hoping for a sensible answer from someone who actually knows their stuff.
edit: also, is a 700W power supply enough?

Word is Podobnik is phenomenal. He’s at Mercy, but he also runs a private clinic over in the residential district—my wife has been seeing him for years and absolutely loves him. He specializes in older moms-to-be. For private visits, the cost is $167

I went to see him in pretty bad shape—neck issues, degenerative stuff, you name it—and honestly, I feel like a new person now.

I’ve dealt with chronic lower back pain for years—it was constant, painful, and quite frankly, exhausting. I bounced around doctors for ages without much luck, eventually just accepting the pain as part of my daily routine.
A few days ago, I finally decided to give a chiropractor (Shantek) a shot. After our first chat, he mentioned my case was a bit unique, but after just three sessions, I feel incredible. The guy is great—sure, he’s a little pricier than others, but I don't mind paying for results. Looking back, I can't believe I wasted all those years suffering needlessly.

Hey there, neighbor!
I’m also living near Mount Rainier, but let's be real—you aren't reading any physical newspapers around here anymore... if you missed it, I'd say it's more likely you were just drunk.🙂

So, I was at the hypnotist's today.....SMOKING ...The guy actually thought he’d successfully hypnotized me—I didn't have the heart to ruin his moment, though—but honestly, there wasn't even a hint of anything happening.
Turns out I learned what I already knew: nobody can help me unless I actually want them to.

I ended up finding exactly what I described—honestly, I don't see the point in overpaying if it only cost $33

So, yeah—just wanted to give a quick update to everyone following along.

I'd love to hear—or see—what the former smokers and those planning to quit think about this middle ground I'm in.

That approach doesn't really work—it's either you smoke or you don't. As long as you've got cigarettes in your pocket, that devil on your shoulder isn't going to leave you alone.

Joshua Chavez said:I'm a bit older—a few years back, I dealt with some nasty neck issues and vertigo so bad it landed me in the ER. Eventually, some advice from the neurology department at Mayo Clinic saved my skin.
They gave me a pretty simple fix: ditch the pillow. Instead, take a large towel, roll it up like a cylinder, and tuck it right under your neck while you sleep—and make sure you sleep on your back. Getting used to sleeping on my back was a bit of a struggle, but knock on wood, I haven't had any dizziness issues in 5 or 6 years now. I'm not saying this works for everyone, but for me, it 🙂
You could probably find a specific pillow for this, but I’ve just stuck with the rolled-up towel and I’m happy enough.

This is roughly what my setup looks like—when I put it under my head, it compresses a bit; it isn't hard, it's soft... I MEAN THE PILLOW

silvermason16 said:So, what kind of pillow did you end up getting?

I think it’s called a medical pillow—it’s basically just a roll, maybe 4 inches wide and about 16 inches long. Picked it up at a pharmacy near the cathedral in Bakersfield for $33.

PS. I went through a whole battery of tests; the imaging showed some early bone spurs on two of my cervical vertebrae, but everything else came back pretty much clear. During the balance test, the specialist noticed something off when I moved my head a certain way, but that was about it.

stormycobra28 said:Look, I know quitting smoking is incredibly tough—but don't forget, if you actually want to stop, it all comes down to you and your own willpower. No one else can help you as much as you can help yourself. I've seen cases involving acupuncture, hypnosis, patches, and all that—but they only worked for the people who had the grit to make it happen, and unfortunately, those people were rare. As for me, I said "no thanks" two years ago image AND I'VE STUCK TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👍 👍 👍

Man, when your wife isn't breathing down your neck about it...😁
I went six months without, gained 9 pounds, and it was a total struggle to lose it back. Some higher power basically forced me back into it. It’s not like I don't have the will to quit again—I don't smoke much at home—but still...
