thanks, right back at you and everyone else—wishing you all nothing but the best😁
man, whatever, I basically went and tackled myself; we’ve got one of those heavy metal light fixtures at home and I just slammed my face right into it, though luckily I had some drywall to cushion the blow🤣 I saw stars, for real
I'm with you on that, I was actually thinking about suggesting Džepina, even if it's just my own subjective take, since Glumičić goes for that really textured, rugged style while I personally lean towards something smoother and more even, but honestly, at the end of the day, it's all about individual taste and making your own call so nobody can point fingers later😁
aha, Ivo was definitely messing with me😁 saw the photo😍
If you had actually asked him, I’m pretty sure he would have shown you, but honestly, it’s way more effective when he just takes the lead and shows you exactly what he’s planning to do and what kind of result you can expect 😁
How did I even end up getting sucked into all this 😁
They really ought to be showing off some photos; I honestly don't get why he doesn't just host them on his own website, you know? It would be helpful to see at least a few shots just to get a decent sense of his overall style and how he operates Have you actually gone in for a consultation with someone yet?
I was just looking into things, and it turns out Glumičić is actually working alongside Dr. Ivo Džepina, which is wild because I had absolutely no clue there was another Dr. Džepina out there 😁
I've heard about both of them 😁 but I'm totally in the dark on how they actually operate 🙂
Those bumps really shouldn't be visible; I mean, you might feel some slight unevenness if you touch things, kind of like how I have a tiny bit near the base of my nose, but it’s not noticeable and it doesn't bother me at all. For me, the main goal was just being able to breathe normally again and stopping those constant nosebleeds that I couldn't seem to get under control, so if you're looking to get a bump removed, that should be the priority... honestly, your best bet is to sit down and have a real, deep conversation with them so they can walk you through exactly what the options are.
Jesse Taylor7 look, I get it, the fear is always going to be there, and I was actually watching this documentary the night before I headed to the hospital about people who are under anesthesia but can still feel pain, which didn't help matters one bit 😁 for me, the biggest "trauma" was just having to stay in the hospital for a few days, because I absolutely loathe hospitals and those uncomfortable hospital beds.
honestly, they aren't even that noticeable; they don't really change how your nose looks overall 😁i went to check myself, and it’s like maybe half a centimeter at most, which is tiny, but when I start overthinking and staring too hard in the mirror, I swear I can see them 😁
if that's how you're feeling, it might be better to just hold off for a bit and really think it through, or maybe have a deeper dive with your surgeon so they can give you a realistic idea of the final results versus what you actually want... it all comes down to your current anatomy, though I totally get why you're nervous 😉 who are you planning on seeing for the procedure?
yeah, I did, quite a while back, and I already sent an email to Dr. Džepina
Jesse Taylor7 I’d actually already done my homework on what might happen before the consultation even started, but honestly, it felt pretty good when he brought it up at the last possible second—you know, while I was already lying there on the table and there was absolutely no turning back. 😁
The risks involved are pretty much exactly what Charles Hall10 was getting at regarding anesthesia—even when you're in the best hands, things can still take an unexpected turn. Then there's the issue of setting expectations way too high for how the nose will actually look, which usually leads to disappointment, plus there’s always that nagging possibility of a botched procedure that ends up making breathing even harder than it was before. 🙂 I really hope people take a long, hard look at themselves before they go under the knife, honestly. You’ve got to sit there and truly weigh whether you actually want this, and more importantly, make sure you're mentally prepared for the reality that a brand-new nose isn't some magic wand that's going to fix your entire life or solve all your problems.
The sheer lack of discipline regarding fasting before surgery is honestly kind of ridiculous. It’s almost funny when you think about it—if someone can't manage to go twenty-four hours without snacking, or even half that time without grabbing a drink, they probably shouldn't be stepping foot in an operating room in the first place. If you can't handle a little bit of hunger or thirst, you aren't exactly showing the kind of mental toughness needed to deal with a medical procedure. 🙄
Charles Hall10 It’s entirely possible you didn't have a deviated septum back then, because if you did, a doctor should have stepped in to fix that immediately, but honestly, let's just wipe the slate clean and start from scratch—the most important thing is that everything can be refined and perfected now. Like you said, if you're moving on to someone better, that's one thing, but honestly? I wouldn't even let myself get caught up with just anyone. 😁
Honestly, I can’t even remember how long the whole thing took; I just know that first time felt way longer, whereas the second time he basically just smoothed out that little bump
Did your nose tip drop after the surgery? 😲 You didn't have a deviation back then, so you weren't forced to fix everything all at once, right? Now I'm actually getting a bit nervous 🙂
He definitely laid out all the risks for me; I mean, with any surgery there are risks and you have to sign a consent form, but he even asked me right before they put me under whether I’d prioritize my health or my looks if things went sideways 😁
He’s a good doctor, though I don't know what happened with him back then 😁 but if for some reason I had to go through this again, I’d pick him in a heartbeat
Ah, yeah, he did a breast augmentation for a friend of mine—she paid her own way, obviously, and they look absolutely stunning
He also handled gender reassignment surgeries over at Rebro, and from what I hear, he's working alongside Glumičić now🙂
He didn't actually smooth out my whole nose; there’s still this little bump right on the tip, which made me think I was dealing with a hematoma, but turns out that wasn't it, so he scheduled me for a corrective procedure in six months. Until then, I've basically been walking around looking like a total caricature🙄 I didn't have to pay a dime because I already had a deviated septum, and since he was the one who messed up the first round, the second one was on the house🙂
Dr. Džepina was my surgeon
Charles Hall10—for me, the "touch-up" felt like starting the entire process from square one all over again
It’s looking alright now; he didn't totally wreck my face, just left a little bit of 😁. To be honest, I can't even wrap my head around how it turned out this way, because even someone with zero vision could see the difference, but at least now I can actually make jokes about it instead of feeling like everything was completely falling apart 😁
I totally forgot to mention that I’ve been running on empty from work lately, so I think the anesthesia just hit me way harder than usual—at least, that’s how I’m reading it
If you're already feeling more than satisfied after just three weeks, things could only go up from here; I had to wait a much longer time before everything finally settled down
If everything feels right now, it’s probably going to stay that way 😁 I noticed a little hiccup right at the start, so I actually had to go back in for some touch-ups 🙂
I can't believe 🙏 they couldn't even get you to wake up... my sister was already halfway through listing everything that went wrong, telling me I basically robbed her of a few years of her life because of all the stress she had to deal with 😍😁 I really hope my fate doesn't start rubbing off on you after your first surgery 😁 just hit me up in six months and I'll let you know if there's anything you actually need to worry about
Based on how you described it, it sounds like we were dealing with pretty similar noses 🙂
It's pretty rare for anyone to be happy immediately after the procedure; everything is swollen and you look at least two sizes bigger than you actually are, though that eventually settles down. Of course, it all comes down to what you worked out with your surgeon and what's actually doable, since you can't just turn every nose into a tiny button nose 🙂
🤣 Look, we all walk around thinking we’ve got the perfect profile, right? But then you have kids who inherit a massive nose and they’re gonna be looking up at us like, "Mom, why didn't I get that cute little button nose you have?" 😂 Honestly, mine wasn't even that huge to begin with 😁
Some shots just look a little off, but honestly, I don't even sweat it because my profile looks incredible 😁
You’re probably going to be dealing with it for a bit until everything settles down properly; things take time to deflate, and if you went for more than just basic fillers, I’d say it could easily take a year or two before it fully stabilizes
wearynomad88It's totally possible you just developed a hematoma, and if that's the case, you really don't have anything to worry about 😉
Jesse Taylor7If the nose is shrinking, you're definitely going to need to get those glasses adjusted too 🙂
Yeah, powder is hands down one of the greatest inventions ever 🤣
Have you been there lately?
I’m happy, honestly—it took me forever to finally get it to sink in, but I am beyond satisfied. Every now and then, I catch a glimpse of that famous gymnast in profile, but that’s probably just my mind playing tricks on me 😁
Carol Lopez28 said:Hey everyone, look, I don't know much about those broken capillaries you're dealing with, but I noticed one girl I know has a few tiny red spots on her nose, and from what I gather, they can be cleared up pretty easily with laser treatment. Honestly, though, your best bet is to just go talk to a doctor and see what they say. 🙂
I don't really mind them, honestly—I just throw some concealer over the top and call it a day, plus they aren't even that noticeable anyway. But man, it’s such a relief to hear I’m not the only one dealing with this... I've got a feeling they might be made of some kind of cheap plaster that's been rubbing me the wrong way.
Laura Castillo7 said:Has anyone else here dealt with burst capillaries on their nose, and did you end up stuck with permanent redness or some kind of lasting mark?
It’s like nobody has even brought up broken capillaries before, which honestly made me feel like I was the only one dealing with this... they aren't super obvious, just right at the bridge of my nose, and I kept holding out hope they'd just fade away on their own, but clearly, if they haven't cleared up after a couple of years, they probably aren't going anywhere. 😁
I’m right here, I’ve been there... I had those sky-high levels and all those intense pregnancy symptoms, even though the only way I could have possibly been pregnant was through the Holy Spirit 😉 . Thank God it wasn't a tumor... but man, those days spent waiting were absolute torture.
..it's just constant stress, pure stress..
..so, is your friend actually pregnant now?
I think there are a few threads on pituitary tumors if you want to go digging around and check things out 🙂
