Dermatologist recommendations? in Health ·
..you think she just lives to stir the pot?

..honestly, I felt so sick to my stomach when I was visiting this one person..I've been dealing with skin issues since my teenage years, so I finally opened up to her about what I'm going through, and instead of being empathetic, she just shoves photos of people with way worse breakouts in my face and tells me, "Look on the bright side, at least you don't look like them." Like, thanks for the reality check, I guess..
...and don't even get me started on those people who just hawk these insanely overpriced creams, probably because they're getting some massive commission or whatever else is driving them to push junk..

..I was taking some Geomycin that my GP prescribed after a quick consult with a dermatologist..man, I would give anything to have that kind of result again..it completely cleared everything up, though the catch is you aren't supposed to stay on it for more than six months.

...So, I went to that clinic over on Nemetov last year to get everything checked out. First thing I did was sit down for a full consultation with a specialist who actually understood my symptoms, and once he saw what was going on, he sent me off for all the necessary testing. Just to give you a ballpark idea of the costs—bloodwork usually runs about $67, the CT scan set me back around $200, and that initial doctor's visit felt like it was roughly $43... those are just rough estimates since I managed to snag a discount.
Honestly, the quality was solid and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Everything moves fast there; they have nurses who basically hold your hand and guide you through every step. If your results aren't ready right then and there, they'll just mail them straight to your house. Plus, whenever I need to swing by just to show a doctor my findings, they haven't even charged me for a follow-up visit, which is honestly such a class act.
Anyone tried Aknichthol lotion? in Health ·
...you might want to hit up some local pharmacies to see if they have it in stock; the one I go to usually carries it, just a standard drugstore, and I think I paid about $13..
..my aesthetician used to apply it for me right after a deep cleanse, mostly to mask any redness and to help dry out those stubborn spots so that 🙂
..but you definitely shouldn't overdo it, because it'll strip your skin of all its moisture
...you might want to go ahead and check in with Petrov...
..so, if you don't mind me asking, what would your move be in that situation? 😉
So, I headed over to that private clinic on Nemetov... they’re super thorough about everything, too. You can either swing by and grab your results yourself or have them mailed straight to your house in about ten days or so.
I heard you can get things done over at Petrov's as well, but honestly, the wait times for the results there are way longer.
...so, my first stop was seeing an endocrinologist, and they ended up sending me off to get some hormone levels checked—specifically prolactin. Honestly, I'm guessing it's pretty much the same routine for everyone else out there..
..the whole procedure...it’s just a standard blood draw, nothing too crazy, just like any other lab work you'd do. They might take a couple of vials, though in my case, I think they pulled three..
...I'm honestly wondering what exactly Dzepina did wrong here.. I'd love to know. 🙂
..I mean, how does anyone even go about getting a FaceLift done at a hospital? Like, what kind of referral are you supposed to bring in for something like that???
L-Carnitine: Any recommendations? in Health ·
Look, L-carnitine isn't some scary chemical you need to worry about. It’s a totally natural substance—an amino acid that acts a lot like a vitamin (some people even group it with B-vitamins)—which you find naturally in animal products like meat.
Think of it this way: without enough L-carnitine, your body basically loses its ability to tap into fat stores for fuel. That makes it pretty essential to keep your levels up, especially if you’re hitting the gym hard with high-intensity workouts designed to pack on muscle or torch fat for weight loss. On top of that, L-carnitine helps protect your muscle cells from toxic buildup and keeps your heart running smoothly, since the heart muscle relies heavily on fatty acids being shuttled through metabolism via this stuff. For vegetarians, I’d definitely suggest taking a supplement—maybe two 500 mg capsules a day—and athletes should certainly consider it given the extra physical strain. Just make sure you actually read the label on your specific product to time it right with your training schedule.
Whenever you're doing anything active that leaves you drenched in sweat, you really ought to be reaching for isotonic drinks. These aren't just flavored water; they’re specifically formulated to replace what you lose through perspiration, meaning they carry electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and chloride alongside water. If you just chug plain water after an intense session, you might fix the dehydration for a second, but you aren't replacing those vital electrolytes. In fact, you might end up sweating even more because plain water doesn't "stick" to your system the way it should; it just dilutes your current electrolyte levels and essentially flushes them right back out. Isotonic drinks act as true rehydration solutions that stay in your system, helping cool you down while preserving your water and mineral reserves, and they usually have a little bit of carbs in them too. How do you know if a drink is legit? Check the importer's label for full transparency; the manufacturer and the FDA are responsible for ensuring the ingredients are accurate before anything hits the shelves. If you want to skip the store-bought stuff, you can easily DIY a version by mixing fresh lemon, grapefruit, or orange juice with water and a tiny pinch of salt.

Maybe this will clear things up. L-carnitine works, sure, but don't expect any miracles if you aren't staying consistent with your training.

...look, maybe it's just me, but I've used it myself and I know for a fact it allowed me to push through much longer workouts, so at the very least, it definitely helped me stay in the game longer..
L-Carnitine: Any recommendations? in Health ·
..I'm sitting here reading through the label for this GNC CarniTech fast-acting carnitine complex liquid and stuff
If there's anything else specific you want to know about what's actually inside it, just ask me, because honestly, there's way too much junk on here for me to type out manually😁
..I actually scored two bottles as a gift, so I've been messing around with it for a few months now, mostly just taking it before I hit the gym, maybe four times a week or so
..You should probably do a quick Google search to find some more technical, deep-dive info, but personally, an athlete I know was the one who pointed me toward it

feralbadger71 said:I’m thinking about starting to use this alongside my aerobics workouts, so I have a few questions.
Has anyone actually tried it? Does it really work?
Which brand did you guys go with? And is it better to stick with the liquid stuff or just take pills?
Do you take it every single day, or just on the days you're actually hitting the gym?

Thanks!

..so, I was using it a couple of years back.. I used to hit the local YMCA pool super early in the morning and would knock back the liquid version about 45 minutes before jumping in, and man, once it kicked in, I felt like I could swim across the entire Atlantic.. it gives you this insane surge of energy, though whether I lost weight specifically because of it, I honestly can't say for sure since I was watching my diet and everything else quite closely... but I’d definitely recommend it..
..well, there's my two cents, just speaking from experience..😁

...so yeah, it’s pretty much expected when you aren't exactly following the crowd like everyone else...😁

Maria Hernandez82 said:Anyway, does anyone else with blue eyes deal with constant sneezing? I’ve got it, and I always figured that reacting to the Phoenix might be linked to having light eyes, since they seem way more sensitive to the glare. 👋

...that's basically what I was getting at... those bright eyes just take in too much... I'm sneezing my head off if I don't keep the blinds shut... I have these light-colored shades in my room, and the second I open my eyes in the morning, it's just a nonstop bout of "achoo" to start the day...😁

Brian Mitchell44 said:Anyone shopping at Sisley lately? Do they actually carry jeans, and if so, what’s the verdict? [/B]

....Man, I picked up some jeans there ages ago... honestly, I must have been looking with my eyes closed when I was trying them on... the cut was just completely bizarre, and they felt like absolute sandpaper on my skin... these days, I don't even think about stepping foot in there if I'm hunting for denim.
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything from Wit Boy even if someone held a gun to my head. One crisp autumn day, I picked up a pair of jeans there, thinking I’d found a winner. I wore them about ten times—washed them once, threw them back on—and suddenly the seat was already starting to rip. So, I headed back in to get them exchanged, but get this: they wouldn't even let me. They were incredibly difficult to deal with. And look, I’m not saying they’re even in the same league as Diesel, but my other jeans actually last me years, and I basically live in them.☕

...seriously, if you guys are heading out toward Graz, you should totally hit up Zara instead...their stuff is top-tier, just elite level...

...so, I finally found my absolute dream jeans—lace detailing, size 6—and they fit my curves perfectly, but honestly? It’s a total struggle to even breathe once the button is done up...it’s ridiculous. Like, who actually decided that we need to walk around with our pants fully buttoned when some of us are blessed with a double-curve waistline? My mom actually told me she was going to buy these for me...honestly, she must have bumped her head on the kitchen cabinet or something because she’s clearly lost it...😁

...oh, and by the way...if you're looking for some decent denim, check out what they've got over at Witney...they have some options around $33 so go ahead and take a look...feel free to browse again if you need to...😎

...I just need to vent somewhere, and this is the perfect thread for it... I stumbled upon the most incredible pair of jeans today—seriously, the best in the world. They’ve got this subtle, faded black trim around the pockets and waistline that just hits different. They look absolutely killer... and honestly, the price was a steal too.$230...So, if anyone out there wants to sponsor my shopping habit, consider this my official pitch...

...Oh, and I should mention, brands like Levi's usually nail the fit. I remember rocking their denim back in the day, and I've noticed so many guys picking them up lately—even my brother is a regular. Their cuts are just solid.
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
...Honestly, my absolute favorites have to be the Diesel jeans... I know they aren't cheap, but I spend ages washing and drying them just right to keep them perfect... then there was this one pair I picked up at Zara... the cut looked amazing and I don't think they even cost that much, but I had to struggle so hard just to pull them over my hips and before I knew it, the seam straight up split right down the back...😁 ...Americanino does some decent cuts, and then there was this one pair I saw at Importanne that felt like they were around $50... They're on sale... the fit and look are almost identical to the Diesel ones... I can't remember the exact name, but I'll definitely go check the site one of these days...
Understanding Medical Physiology: Prolactin Levels in Women's Health ·
...back again...😁
...so...I'm still feeling exactly the same way, which honestly doesn't surprise me one bit since all I got from my doctors was some vague advice to "just relax" and a prescription for sedatives that I refuse to touch. They just wipe me out completely... I feel like a total zombie after taking them... The other day I heard about this girl who had my exact diagnosis but ended up dealing with something even more devastating... she was paralyzed from the waist down. Apparently, once she got onto a specific treatment plan, she's basically a whole new person today. I wish I could reach out to her for some insight, but unfortunately, I can't get a hold of her
...I'm posting this because there might be someone else out there dealing with this same struggle, besides green eye..😉 I'm looking for anyone who can point me in the right direction or tell me what my next move should be, especially since the doctors here seem totally indifferent to what I'm going through. Or if you know anyone willing to help... thanks a million..
