Badminton - Doubles Matchup in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’ve been playing badminton for about a year now—look, I’m definitely not a pro or anything, but I can hold my own.
Since I only play doubles, I wanted to see if there are any established pairs on here who’d be down to scrimmage against us. Or, honestly, if someone could just point me in the right direction on where to find another duo to play with?
Has anyone tried mesotherapy? in Health ·
Has anyone here actually tried mesotherapy to get rid of facial scars? I’m talking acne scarring or those stubborn hyperpigmentation spots. It looks pretty pricey, and honestly, I really don't want to just flush my money down the drain if it doesn't work...

And listen, maybe work on those abs so you can finally fix your silhouette—that’s really all you’ve got going for you... though if that's just how you're built, you'll never truly beat it... what, you gonna be doing crunches until the day you die? 🙄 Targeted workouts like that are pointless in my book because you'll just get bored and slack off again... find some actual physical activity that isn't a chore, then you might actually maintain your figure.

Look, my body is fit, I'm slim.
I ride my bike constantly and I dance, everything is great. I'm toned everywhere except my stomach—ugh!! But honestly, it always looks like that the second I eat anything. 😢

James Price53 said:well, stronger muscles might help fix that slightly, but nothing crazy... why are you getting all worked up? personally, I think it's pretty 😍

thanks, but honestly? I’d just get rid of it. 🙂
Stomach issues... in Health ·
Basically, I’ve been dealing with this one specific issue for as long as I can remember
and it’s my stomach.
I wouldn't call myself fat—I used to be pretty thin, actually—and I'm slim everywhere else on my body except for my midsection.
Every single time I eat anything, my stomach just bloats up. I honestly don't know if it's trapped air, if my stomach is just tiny, or what the hell is going on. When I wake up in the morning, everything looks fine (well, okay, maybe not "fine," but normal), but throughout the day, my waist hits about 28–30 inches. (For context, my hips are 35 inches)
Lately, I've been hitting the sit-up machine every day, doing 60 reps at a time, but it hasn't made a bit of difference—if anything, it feels like it's getting even bigger.
....
Is there an actual solution for this, or should I just learn to live with it?
Zinc supplementation: Is it worth it? in Health ·
So, I recently picked up Natural Wealth's vitamin for eye health, mostly because it’s loaded with Zinc + A and selenium, plus you get beta-carotene, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C in the mix...

Here’s what’s in it:

The label says one pill packs 40mg of Zinc, which is about 267% of the RDA.

Is that pushing it if I take it every single day?

My ex went through something similar, and it took her a solid six months just to get her cycle back on track... plus she ended up getting her period cleared out completely...

😱 😲
Are you actually sure it's all cleared out because of that?
I just finished reading through all the comments about the Petrov Memorial Hospital
😱
Honestly, the whole vibe there feels just like something straight out of an Alan Ford comic book.

dustycanyon6 said:Your doctor is just wonderful—suspects it's the flu, yet hands out an antibiotic anyway! 😁 Then we all act shocked when antibiotics stop working... Like, newsflash, bacteria are becoming super-resistant because people overprescribe them for absolutely nothing.

I forgot to mention one thing: patients are just as much to blame here. They roll into the clinic expecting a magic pill to fix everything instantly. Honestly, if half of them actually took care of themselves, they wouldn't even need to see a doctor in the first place. So you have this patient with a viral infection, the doctor is stumped, and they just throw an antibiotic at them so the patient stays quiet and feels like they're actually doing something. It might even "work" sometimes due to the placebo effect—which is basically how half of these drugs function anyway. In a lot of cases, you don't need a prescription; you just need a better attitude.

Exactly. Today is even worse for me. Fever is climbing higher. My chest hurts. I feel nauseous and can't even look at food. 😢

I’ve been sitting here with a fever of 100.6 for the last two days, and right now I’m hitting 101, feeling absolutely miserable. My throat is killing me—it honestly feels like there’s internal bleeding going on. Every time I take a sip of plain water, it feels like I’m swallowing sulfuric acid. And don't even get me started on the coughing; every time I hack, my head throbs like it’s about to split wide open. I went to see my doctor today and she put me on Ceclor. I’m also taking some Sudafed syrup and doing Bayer Aspirin twice a day. My boyfriend actually got some antibiotics from his doctor, specifically Keflex, so he's taking those. My doctor isn't totally sure what I've even caught; she thinks it's probably just the flu, but my head doesn't ache and my muscles aren't sore... at least not yet.
How long does this crap usually last??
Do you drink tap water? in Health ·
So, I haven’t touched tap water in like four years now. Honestly, my stomach used to kill me all the time for absolutely no reason, and then the second I made the switch to just drinking bottled water, everything stopped. (Knock on wood!) Plus, I live right by the Mississippi, so the stuff coming out of my faucet is basically just Mississippi river water. Gross.

Kudos to Ashley Fox69! It’s actually pretty useful having a doctor hanging out on this forum, 👍

Emily Castillo81, if you think quitting smoking is going to be too much of a struggle because of birth control, just remember there are plenty of other issues caused by smoking that they don't bother putting on Celeste's instruction leaflets..

Smoking ramps up the risk for impotence, miscarriages, infertility, lung cancer, cervical cancer, heart disease, oral diseases, allergies, depression, cardiovascular issues, bad skin, etc..

Did I help? 🙂

Yeah, I would. Honestly, I think anyone would.
