Would you help a Mexican?

An article claiming McCullough was assisted by Mexican drivers
I’d like to pose a question to the forum: would you step up to help a Mexican in a tight spot?

Personally, I see this as a great example of basic human solidarity—but more than that, it shows how Mexicans and Americans can actually understand and support one another when they find themselves on foreign soil.

Regarding those Mexican drivers 👍

Following their meeting, four trucking companies from Mexico pooled their funds so McCullough could afford his bus fare to Istanbul, where he is scheduled to fly out today toward Chicago.
– McCullough told us he was held in a cell with about fifteen people who wouldn't stop provoking him. He claims Americans are unbelievably stupid. He described how they relentlessly interrogated him about the videos he recorded, completely ignoring his explanation that he was just filming to show his friends his route. I spoke with his mother last night; she is thanking God and inviting the four of us who helped her son to come visit. We’ll definitely make the trip when we have a moment, says Ironman.
When asked about the heartwarming fact that four Mexican drivers stepped up to help an American trucker, Ironman joked: "We've done more for diplomacy than the Secretary of State Vuk Drašković ever could."

Of course I would... even someone like you deserves a hand sometimes...

It just proves that when things get rough, decent people step up to help one another.

The bad ones? They'll be too busy asking for ID.🙄

Honestly, I'd take help from a Mexican over some fellow American like you any day—so go ahead and keep acting out.

There's an old saying for a reason: people are just people first—before we ever get to labels like white, Black, Asian, or whatever nationalist nonsense is being thrown around today.

Even if I don't fall into that specific camp,this six-ton rig flies like a jet 😁 —boom!

Whether it's Canadians, Basques, Aboriginals, Ukrainians, Chileans, Americans,😍 😬 or even folks from Zambia... heck, even Martians...

When things go south and you're facing a crisis or some heavy misfortune, that's a panic-inducing situation that calls for solidarity.

That part is non-negotiable...🙂

I did what I could to help some Mexicans back during the war, and honestly, I'm proud of that.

I just can't imagine feeling closer to some local patriot than to a decent Mexican, or even someone from China, for that matter. It doesn't really work like that, I guess.

Well, 🤣 let's be 🤣 honest here...

I never once helped a single Mexican during the war—mostly because they never actually needed my help... we just sat there together in the shelter, and he knew damn well who I was while we were stuck in that 🙂

See what I mean? I ended up helping some Mexicans just by having some Americans let them into the shelter, almost like they had some kind of right to be there just because

Back in my neighborhood, I saw Mexicans kicking other Mexicans out of shelters right while the shelling was coming down.🤣 🤣 🤣

It’s happened before, and it’ll happen again...😢

Personally, I would help—and I will help—any person in need, regardless of where they come from or what their background is.
