Whatever. Gotta watch that balance, though. Too many optimists on this thread.😁

Come on, let's not act all high and mighty now. We've been taking losses from them pretty much every year for the last decade.
It’s about time we actually started stringing some wins together.

For us, the tournament actually kicks off against the Canadians.😬

Not even close.😁 😁
But I did score tickets for England at Wembley last night.👍 😁
We're pretty damn tough.😬 😬

Same here. Just want to be in a good mood when the whistle blows.😁

Anyone picking America for the quarterfinals clearly has a genius IQ. They’ll probably be spending their winnings on a trip to Beijing 2008.😁

Roger Allen3, start a thread about the French. Can't be bothered wasting my breath on those losers from Spain.

That was always the plan, though. Something shifted during halftime, and they decided right then they were actually gonna win this one.

Need to shut down Susec for those comments today. 👎 👎

Boza Susec is alright, if he could just stay sober, he'd be unstoppable.😬

So we’re playing the French, Germans, and Spaniards in Cologne. If we take out the French, we face the Germans in the semis—back in Cologne again. Then it's the Danes in the finals, still in Cologne. Basically, everything happens in Cologne.😬

Anonymous said:The finals have me worried... probably Spain vs. USA, assuming neither side chokes in the next two games.
And then... Spain’s gonna be fired up after today's loss, while we'll still be hung up on that 2005 heartbreak...
Only thing is, they definitely have an easier path ahead.
The French and Germans... if we play as hard as we've been playing—just pure grit—we're taking the title for sure.

How do you know? Spain plays Germany in the quarterfinals.😁

Look, Vanja, we're all just sitting here completely lost watching this game.🤣
Come on, Sergio, start the thread. I’m losing my mind waiting here.🤣 🤣

Just dropped in to see what my old "comrades" are up to on here. 😬
Checking in on you? 😉

As long as you've got a brain in your head. You got one?🤣
Same turbulence over here, but at least I'm still on course. Assuming there even is one.😁

Fine, whatever, I'll give the Canadians credit. But those "legendary" Frenchmen? Please. Aside from Bauer, Zeitz, Kehrman, and Fritz, the rest of them are total hacks. And Rogisch? Don't even get me started. Or that greasy guy Hens—honestly, seeing him makes me want to chuck a brick at his head.

Actually, looking at it this way, it’ll be even better when we absolutely wreck the Germans in the semifinals.
The Germans are just riding the hype from the crowd and the refs right now. They'll coast through until the semis, and then they're going to crash and burn.😬
