I feel like I’ve checked off most of the boxes of what I wanted to experience, so now I’ve drifted into this weird maintenance phase where I’m just going through the motions—following a routine just to kill time, though the actual drive behind it is completely gone. On paper, I’m doing incredibly well; I’ve got a great career and an amazing girlfriend. But if I’m being honest, I am profoundly lonely. Due to a messy web of circumstances, I end up living entirely alone, sometimes going weeks without having a real conversation with anyone besides colleagues or, well, the guy at the ATM (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but there's truth to 🙂). By nature, I’m someone who loves being around people, socializing, and staying curious about the world. All of this leads to these periodic crashes where I suddenly just want to walk away from everything because life starts feeling flat and meaningless. During those times, I find myself desperately hunting for some kind of intense stimulation—I start fantasizing about things that would totally transport me to another dimension, whether that’s drugs, heavy drinking, or something more deviant. Luckily, I usually snap out of it fairly quickly, but the issue is that these episodes leave me absolutely wrecked, and it takes days or even weeks to actually get back on my feet. Do you think seeing a psychiatrist could help me tackle this, or is this craving for extreme stimulation just an inseparable part of who I am, something that only seems to escalate over time? Where is this all heading?
That’s exactly where the issue lies. For someone who thrives on social interaction, this level of isolation—where absolutely nothing is happening—is brutal.
Looking at my own life, when I'm out and busy, I feel great. But the second I have downtime and find myself alone with my thoughts, I immediately spiral into dark places.
Even at non-private OB-GYN clinics, you're still getting charged for ultrasounds. It’s not like you're being ripped off for nothing; they actually issue a formal receipt for it.
Regarding Šahini over in Seattle, they’re running a deal right now where you get frames plus prescription lenses for $100. You have to pick from a specific selection of frames, though, but there are plenty of decent options. I grabbed a pair myself since I don't wear contacts, and there's just no point in dropping more than $333 on glasses that'll just sit in a drawer 😬
I haven’t been myself, so I’m looking for some actual feedback from people who have. Someone shoved a flyer in my hand the other day. Honestly, if you're going to pay a professional for a treatment, don't bother buying your own device unless you’ve got $0.00 just to blow on it.
The "exercise" to get rid of a double chin is just alternating between saying X and O while straining your neck muscles like crazy. That was some beautician's advice, so maybe try 🙂 instead.
I got this one two days ago. Today is day four, so my period is basically wrapping up, yet I just had some spotting today. So much for my little theory on ovulation 😁 I am officially done tracking this crap!
I only get a temperature spike during the second half of my cycle. Everything stays totally normal during the first half. Honestly, I haven't a clue why.

Exactly, Melissa Moore39. I just woke up feeling like I went twelve rounds in a boxing ring. My temp is sitting at 98.3 right now, but I know damn well it’ll be hitting 99 by this afternoon...
🤣 Looks like everyone running a fever yesterday caught it. Honestly, feels like some kind of cosmic interference😁. Maybe the three of us are just subjects in some experiment run by little green men🤣

😠 Oh, great. So what am I left with in a 28-day cycle? Just a couple of days with a high temp and then nothing else. What a wonderful life we lead as women.😠
I just had bloodwork done, so we'll see. I took my temp this morning right when I woke up and it was 98.6, now it's 99.1, and it drops by the evening... We'll see, >, what happens once our periods actually arrive.😕
So I went to see my doctor today because my temperature has been sitting between 98.6 and 99.1 for five days straight. She told me that if this were actually ovulation, I shouldn't be seeing these numbers first thing in the morning—they should be hitting in the afternoon instead. She also insisted I need to be measuring lying down immediately upon waking up. Regardless, she sent me off to get blood work done tomorrow.
Honestly, I’m losing my patience here. My entire body aches.😢
hm... I had one doctor tell me that things actually recede during pregnancy, lol 😁 such conflicting advice out there. It’s still there, though. I should probably go get it checked out now to see if it's growing.
I always hit 98.7 or 98.8 during my luteal phase. It drives me crazy because everyone insists it doesn't count as a temperature shift, but I know what I'm feeling. When I'm sitting at 97.5 instead, I feel completely wiped out and miserable. 😢
