Same as before. Everything is back to square one, even after a fresh install. Thanks for the help, guys, but this isn't going anywhere. I’ll have to hand this over to someone who actually knows what they're doing; this whole thing is just a total mind fuck. 🙂

One last shot: if anyone can track down the LAN and wireless drivers for this laptop, let me know. Maybe I just haven't found the right ones yet. I'd appreciate it.

Main thing is, are we talking about an official version of Windows or some custom modded build? That matters because you don't want some junk version.

I'll give it a shot; it's my only move at this point. Not sure which one I picked—there were plenty of options like Ultimate or Office... I guess that counts as "modded" to some people.
This wouldn't even be an issue if I wasn't heading out early tomorrow morning. I decided to help my brother set up his Windows, and now I'm stuck dealing with this all night. Haven't even started packing yet. 🙂

So, I installed both the LAN and wireless drivers, and still nothing. Absolutely nothing. Dealing with these drivers is driving me insane. Just pure madness.

Under Other Devices, I've got a network controller and an unknown device. Also, just to clarify, it says there's no battery, even though it runs fine on the charger. Consider replacing your battery.

I need some help here. I’m installing Windows 7 Ultimate, and now I’ve got zero internet connectivity—just getting that "No connections are available" message—and my laptop won't even charge. I went into the Device Manager to update the drivers, and everything is supposedly up to date, if you know what I mean. Does anyone know what the catch is? My laptop still has about two hours of battery life left, but if it dies, I'm basically screwed.

The BIOS has been on AHCI this whole time. And I don't get the second part. What do you mean "dinosaur"? Can this thing even run Windows 7?

I'm hitting a wall with an installation. Trying to get Windows 7 running on an Acer Aspire One http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/10767407, which shows you the specs. I follow the standard procedure: grab the 32-bit version, pick my language and keyboard layout, and format the drive. It starts installing, everything seems fine, then it reboots. But instead of picking up where it left off, it just loops back to the initial language and keyboard setup screen.
I've tried this two or three times now. Honestly, I'm losing steam here. Anyone have a clue what's causing this loop?

It’s a little weird to me that the ER staff was handing out Amoxicillin like candy and prescribing "treatment" based on guesswork—especially since you'd never actually prescribe that for the flu. (Though I know there are some quiet "believers" who think it's fine to use antibiotics regardless).

Maybe they were worried about a possible bacterial infection, but Ibuprofen is just for masking the pain that comes naturally with a virus or a bad cold. It isn't really smart to keep drugging yourself through it; better to just lie down and wait it out.

They didn't even really examine me at the ER; the doctor just guessed. Diagnosed me in one second. She added that since I have a 104 fever, maybe I forgot to mention that part. Probably important.

Dealing with the flu. Spent some time in the ER two days ago and they put me on Johnson & Johnson and Advil. Instructions were one dose of Johnson & Johnson a day, and Advil twice daily. My fever finally broke, thank god, but I'm wondering if I should stick with the Advil or if there's no point in continuing at this stage.
Plus, my whole body is aching, and Advil helps with that too. Honestly, maybe it’s just because I've been stuck in bed for three days straight.

What’s the damage for Krav Maga classes in Seattle? I saw on their site that sessions run until 10 PM, but does anyone know if they have earlier slots? That's way too late for me.
