Honestly, I’m at a loss for what counts as a good deal anymore. Especially when it comes to finding decent musicians—that’s getting really tough. I suggested these guys because I know them personally, and they’re honestly great.
Nigritella, here's another one from the Democratic Party https://hr-hr.facebook.com/pages/TS-...31519116873504

Alexander Rodriguez2, I figured that clasp was going to be pricey. I actually got a quote from a local vendor, and the whole invitation would run me about $3.25 😢 . But when I want a specific kind of clasp... 🙂 I think I'll just DIY it. I've already worked out all the details—the paper, the printing, the cutting. By my math, it’ll cost us roughly $133, including all the supplies. It's half the price, and at least I know there won't be any typos. I see those mistakes happening way too often. I'll just order the clasps on eBay.
Your invitation looks lovely, and honestly, so do you 😁
It feels a bit too much like an obituary, though maybe 🤣 Mainly because of that black bow. I think I’ll go with a white ribbon and a clasp instead... might look better. I do think black and white is pretty elegant, though. Something like this
Jessica Jackson13, thanks for the reply! I know exactly which bookstore you mean—I used to live right near there back when I was in college. The invitations aren't actually that hard to make, which is why I decided to just DIY them. It’s just a single-sided, square black-and-white invite and an envelope. After spending way too much time scrolling through endless websites and different invitation styles, we finally settled on what we wanted from the start: total minimalism. 🙂
Something like this... the ribbon will be White and have a bit of a unique twist, kind of like the link below. The envelope will be White, and inside there'll be some kind of patterned background. Honestly, with YouTube, I think I can pull it off... hopefully. 🤣
Question for anyone who DIY-ed their own wedding invites 🙂
I'm getting pretty close to just making my own wedding invitations, so I was wondering... which bookstore in Columbus has the best selection of cardstock? Also, where did you guys end up getting them printed??

I need some info on Apple catering out of St. Louis! I just got their quote and honestly, they’re super affordable—like, way cheaper than everyone else I've looked at, so I'm wondering. Any experiences or thoughts? Thanks
stormybear37 said:Well, we actually went to see them in person. We set up a tasting session and they gave us a bunch of pastries—completely FREE—just to sample. And honestly? They were absolutely delicious. They had that wonderful, genuine homemade feel where you can actually taste the unique ingredients in every single piece; they didn't all just blend together into one sugary mass. Plus, the woman running things was so easy to work with regarding the arrangements. I'm just so relieved and happy that we got everything sorted out so smoothly!!
We also scheduled a tasting, though it isn't until May. Yeah, she really is incredibly kind. Thanks! 🙂
stormybear37 said:We’re going to be feasting on cakes and pastries straight from that Sweet fairy tale White Monastery! Ahem, but enough about my plans—where did the rest of you end up ordering your treats from??
From the Sweet fairy tale too 🙂 But we haven't tried them yet 😉 It's something we're looking forward to. Maybe some of you have tried them?? How are they??
Maria Ramirez4 said:I know a girl who used them for her wedding hair and makeup. She looked absolutely stunning—nothing over the top, but it still photographed beautifully. 🙂
Thanks for the info. First one I've seen, and it's already positive. I guess that's a good sign. 🙂 I guess I don't have much choice left. I'll just go ahead and book a session at Chic Makeup Studio for the next wedding I'm attending, just so I can see how they work firsthand. I was thinking about doing a trial run before my bachelorette party, too... I really don't want to deal with any awkward surprises a week before the big day. 🤣
They offer manicures, pedicures, and full makeup services as part of their wellness package. I guess since we're having the wedding guests there, I might get my makeup done for free. I definitely plan on doing a trial run, but I was wondering if anyone here has actually been there? Does anyone know if their makeup artists are any good?
silentraven18, I have no clue what their sweets are actually like since I haven't tried them myself. I guess I'm not really the best judge of quality anyway, since I'm not exactly a huge dessert person 🙂
They were just the first ones that popped into my head because their menu looks a bit different from the rest. Maybe try reaching out to the others mentioned here too? They might do sweet tables, so you've got nothing to lose 😉 Good luck!
Anyway, I already asked this before. Has anyone actually ordered cakes or pastries from Dundo Sweets?? Any thoughts on the taste??
Does anyone know of any good dessert table vendors out in the Midwest? I'm mostly looking for someone near Indianapolis, Des Moines, Memphis, Tulsa, St. Louis, or maybe Little Rock...
Though I suppose I wouldn't mind checking out options in other Midwest cities too.🙂
graniteridge6 said:Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what the pricing looks like at Mozaik (I realize it’s highly subjective and depends on what you're after)? Also, how far in advance should one ideally book an appointment?
graniteridge6, my wedding is on September 20th, and I'm actually heading in to meet them next week. The lady told me to come in early—not just for the flowers, but because of the decor, the vases, and the candle holders I want. She wants to make sure they're reserved for our date.
The fair was a total letdown. There were hardly any exhibitors or anything to look at, and the discounts? Almost non-existent unless you dropped a huge deposit upfront. 😢
Luckily, we had already sorted out the big stuff before the show even started—the venue, the band, the photographer. We specifically went there looking for flowers from Mosaic. Honestly, the ladies there were amazing; they were so warm and had such great ideas.
Was the dessert selection really just three booths, or did I somehow miss something??
