Based on some glowing recommendations we picked up here on the forum, we decided to order a variety of pastries and a custom cake from the Glembay bakery in a small town in rural America—and honestly, we couldn't be happier with the choice. Dealing with the manager was an absolute breeze; she was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to make sure every single detail of our request was met perfectly. As for the food itself? Absolutely divine. The Ferrero Rocher treats, in particular, were a standout—they had that exact same rich aroma and flavor profile you’d expect from the real thing. Despite the drive being a bit of a winding, hilly trek to get to the shop, everything arrived right on schedule and in pristine condition. 😁I can't recommend them enough!

Does anyone know if their cakes and pastries are actually any good? Has anyone here tried them yet—and more importantly, are the prices reasonable?
I honestly can't say I’ve ever experienced that at any point in my life... and even now, I don't really deal with much beyond the occasional stumble. Though, I have to admit—after that very first, rather drastic fall, it took me months to fully get back on my feet.🤷 But I've never actually had all those symptoms hitting me intensely for days on end like that.🤔

Basically, I drank quite a bit over the weekend (Friday, Feb 15th) and spent Saturday nursing a hangover. To be fair, I felt somewhat better by the afternoon, and later on, some friends gathered at my place. My head was pounding, so I took an andol 100. I didn't drink anything else on Saturday.

Around 10 PM that night, I suddenly felt a headache coming on along with some dizziness. I looked around at everything, and everyone seemed strange to me—it was almost like I was experiencing dissociation. I stepped outside for some fresh air, but I wasn't doing well. After a little while, I started shaking; my heart began racing uncontrollably, and I felt terrible—like I was about to collapse. Physically, I felt fine, but mentally, things were a complete disaster. Afterward, I sat down on the bed, turned pale as a ghost, developed dark circles under my eyes, and broke out in a cold sweat within about 15 seconds; I was literally dripping. I lay down, and a friend checked my pulse; it was around 82 BPM and irregular, with significant pauses between beats.

As I lay there, my right leg started twitching violently on its own. I just stared around at my surroundings as if they were imaginary; I had absolutely no sense of time or space. I lay there for five hours, yet it felt like I had only been in bed for ten minutes.

Additionally, whenever I tried to speak, I would stop mid-sentence because my brain would just freeze up, and I wouldn't remember what I was trying to say. It was simply as if my consciousness and my brain weren't functioning properly.

My vision and hearing were also completely distorted. What worries me most is that even though some time has passed since that evening—I managed to get some sleep and woke up the next day feeling drastically better—I am still having these gaps where I lose my memory; one day at work, I couldn't even recall what I had actually done that day.

To make matters worse, the condition isn't improving. My head still feels "off," and my spatial perception is heavily warped—it's similar to that disorienting sensation you get when you're jolted awake from a deep sleep and start pacing around the room. It's much like vertigo.

These symptoms are incredibly bizarre, and searching the internet hasn't yielded any helpful answers. I would really appreciate some guidance on what the smartest next steps might be.

Does anyone have a rough idea of what this could be, or what kind of tests I should expect to undergo at the doctor's office?

Thank you all so much in advance for your help and time. 🙂

P.S.: Please don't feel obligated to give me grim or dark prognoses. Honestly, I've already braced myself for just about anything. 🙂

I forgot to mention, I'm 26 years old. I haven't had any prior health issues, though I did have meningitis as a child.

I experienced these exact symptoms when my blood sugar crashed hard.. I don't have diabetes, but mine drops occasionally, and if I don't get it back up, it gets really nasty.. It's the worst feeling ever.

Could someone please walk me through what an endosonography—or an ultrasound—actually looks like in practice for women? I'm curious about how the procedure is performed.
Does anyone happen to know the specific hours for picking up urine culture results at the local community health center? I’m a bit turned around and can't quite recall if they are available between 12:00 and 3:00 PM, or if it's more like 3:00 to 5:00 PM. If someone could clarify that for me, I’d really appreciate it!
