Post-gastric surgery diet: What to eat?
in Health ·
My mom was diagnosed with stomach cancer two months ago.
She lost so much weight that they couldn't even perform surgery, so once we finished her first round of chemo, we started focusing on nutrition to help her regain strength.🙂
The doctors told her she can eat whatever she likes, as long as nothing is raw or overly spicy.
In just one month, she’s actually gained four pounds. Her blood work looks great, her EKG is fine too, and she’s already moving onto her second round of chemo.
She’s also taking aloe and shark liver oil.
That said, I’ve been reading online that cancer patients should avoid meat entirely, yet I’m still giving her a meat-based meal at least once a day.
😕
Am I doing this wrong? The doctors specifically told me to keep doing exactly what I'm doing.😕
