That dull, nagging ache—it feels like my entire pelvic area is just throbbing at once...
Looking through some of these threads, I’m starting to think it might be internal hemorrhoids since they actually hurt... But there's zero itching and nothing is burning... just this constant, unrelenting pain that won't quit...

Good luck tomorrow everyone...

Looks like I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and finally go for it too... 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

Thanks... I'm pretty terrified, honestly... but whatever happens, happens.

Look, I know this might be a total snooze-fest for most of you, but I’m really hoping someone out there can throw me a bone and give me some actual advice... 🙏
So, about a week ago, I started noticing traces of blood on the toilet paper whenever I went to the bathroom. And just to make things even more miserable, yesterday this unbearable pain kicked in—we’re talking a really intense, dull ache that just won't quit. It’s not like anything is itching or anything, and my bathroom routine is pretty much regular, but the pain has gotten so bad that I can't even sit down normally without feeling like absolute crap.

Just like Steven Booth65 was saying:

Are we seriously talking about hemorrhoids here? Is that really where this conversation is headed? 🤷
So, how am I supposed to fix this mess? What's the move here—should I just go all in on some high-strength supplements, or is it actually worth messing around with pills?

P.S. — honestly, this is the first time I’ve ever dealt with this kind of mess...

Man, I’ve finally realized just how much these hemorrhoids can absolutely flare up—it’s probably happening to me right now—and when they do, everything just hurts. Like, seriously, some people can’t even sit down without losing it. I can manage to stay seated, but I get these random stabs of pain and this stinging sensation... then it passes. It’s a total rollercoaster. I’ve tried everything from Fact ointment to that Nevan stuff and even some propolis-based cream... the propolis one actually calmed things down for a bit, but now I'm right back at square one. I'm heading to see my doctor tomorrow because, honestly, I'm low-key terrified it might be something way worse than this... so yeah, we'll see what happens. 😕

Ugh... okay, so I have my own doctor 😢. Basically, I've got this thickening around my anus—I can't tell if something is actually protruding or if it just feels like it's about to pop out, though I think it actually happened once! The real kicker is that the pain down there is brutal, and it’s radiating all the way down my leg, making everything around the area ache so much that I honestly can't tell what's hurting anymore. Weirdly enough, when I actually touch the swelling, it doesn't hurt that bad... it's more like this spontaneous, throbbing pain that just hits me out of nowhere. Now I'm spiraling thinking it might be something way worse, even though my bowel movements are fine, everything else seems normal, I don't have a fever, and I haven't lost any weight, but... ugh... I have no clue what tomorrow's exam is going to reveal... all I know is I've been a complete nervous wreck for days because of this!
Elisco... I really hope you feel better soon, man, I'm so sorry you're dealing with this crap. Wait, you already had surgery? Where did you go for that? Hang in there 👍!
Anyway, rapidraven4, is that Dr. Filati a private practice guy?

I've got hemorrhoids (internal, but you can tell)... stage one...
God, freaking hemorrhoids... 😢

They gave me some suppositories and told me to keep things clean down there... which is like, yeah, obviously... but how am I supposed to wash up while I'm stuck at work?!
I've always got wet wipes on me... that's why I've been lugging around these massive bags for years just so I can fit everything inside...
Anyway... I had to tell you guys that starting today, I'm overhaulng my whole diet... trying to change everything and seeing if that actually makes a difference...

And seriously, do I really have to cut out coffee too?
What about the Viagra.... can you get that over the counter or do you need a prescription... and those Herbalife capsules... what else is worth taking?

And get this... I'm an active cyclist, and now I can't even sit on my bike... that hard seat is killer! I'm gonna end up killing myself...

😢 😢

Kudos to you, rapidraven4, for actually going to the doctor. Was that just a general practitioner? Don't they check for that stuff too?
I finally booked an appointment with my doctor for the day after tomorrow—just a regular GP visit... honestly, I'm terrified someone's gonna find something way worse than hemorrhoids! It’s a toss-up between the actual pain and the pure dread that it might be something serious... plus, I don't even know what kind of hemorrhoids I've got... I can feel this thickening around the area and it feels like something's gonna pop out at any second 😠! No bleeding, though. I go once a day, early morning, totally normal—not soft, not hard, just a decent size (we're talking more like a thick cucumber 😕 than a toothpick), so hopefully it's nothing major... regardless, I've got that dreaded exam coming up 🤷
. Oh, and... if anyone knows a solid specialist in the area... I'm all ears.

boldheron7 said:look into Daflon—it’s actually the only one officially FDA-approved as a medication for veins and hemorrhoids. everything else out there is just some supplement or "wellness aid" or whatever they're calling it these days. plus, it's way cheaper than Viagra, man... seriously, you can grab $33 for a pack of 30 tablets

Daflon? Honestly, I'm probably gonna swing by my doctor's office tomorrow and see if she'll write me a script... I need to be taking *something*... because this is getting ridiculous. I'll feel fine for two days, and then—bam—it's like someone just absolutely blindsided me right in the junk😕😕😠😠

I don't know about you guys... but I am losing my mind here—completely losing it because of these damn hemorrhoids. It feels like there's constant pain down there, and even though I’m hitting the bathroom once a day like clockwork, the sheer anxiety from the discomfort is driving me up the wall. I'm constantly applying creams, washing, cleaning... basically everything except cutting out that freaking coffee. Honestly, I’m starting to think it’s doing me more harm than good (not to mention how it spikes my blood pressure, but I bet it messes with my brain chemistry too). So yeah, I'm feeling pretty 👎

Ugh, here we go again... I can feel that pain creeping back up on me... down there and just, uff... honestly, I think my coffee habit is totally wrecking me. I’ve been guzzling so much coffee with milk lately, and I really need to start cutting it out. I was reading up on it, and apparently, it triggers this massive acid reflux situation that just eats away at your stomach and intestines—it's gross, grr... I already quit smoking, so if I can just ditch the caffeine too, I might actually be able to finally relax and just pass out peacefully ☕

I haven't actually managed to pass them yet—honestly, I thought for a split second that one tiny little thing had made an appearance, so I basically tried to shove it back in there myself, which was probably a bad call. But the main issue is that the area around my anus is super swollen... the pain has dialed down a bit, I guess, but that swelling is still very much hanging around.

Alright, so I finally sat down, read through everything, and it all clicked... yeah, I definitely have that irritable... whatever you want to call it. My cousin—who’s an internist, by the way—actually flagged that stuff for me like 15 years ago. On top of that, I just stumbled onto some pretty big news: apparently, I’ve got the genetic predisposition for celiac disease. I actually had some bloodwork done back when she was checking things out, and at the time, it wasn't showing as active. But, while I was digging into the whole IBS thing, I hit a point where they recommend people with a celiac predisposition cut out gluten for a while to see what happens... so, honestly, it might be a smart move to give it a shot. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.

Sorry, stormylynx4, but what exactly is IBS?
Given my current mental state—which, let’s be honest, is pretty fragile and basically held together by sheer willpower at this point—I’ve actually signed up for psychotherapy. I need to get a handle on all this stuff... I just can't tackle it solo, so I figured it's time to bring in a professional.
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
stormylynx4, it’s not even about being scared of the actual pain or the doctors—it’s just that whole vibe of a physical exam makes me super uncomfortable. Look, I’ll be real with you: I’m a massive hypochondriac. I deal with constant panic attacks, anxiety, and a mountain of different phobias. One of the big ones? Fear of getting sick. And that’s where things get messy... I can't even begin to explain it properly, because if you haven't dealt with this kind of mental loop, I probably just sound like some immature, airheaded kid, but honestly? It’s a full-blown pathological fear.
I constantly have this nagging gut feeling that whatever is happening is something way more serious than it looks, so I end up paralyzed and too terrified to actually go get checked out... I know, I know, it sounds completely irrational, but that's just how my brain works. Dammit... I don't even know what's worse: the paralyzing fear itself or the actual pain I'm feeling. 😲

Hey Jesse Evans85, what kind of trouble are you actually dealing with? How does it even manifest for you? Has it ever flared up like this—exactly how I’m feeling right now—where it hurts just from sitting down or even walking around? Honestly, it feels like there's just one giant, gaping wound down there!🤷
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
I’ve got a massive problem on my hands. So, this coworker of mine started badgering me today, insisting that I need to run to the doctor immediately because what I'm feeling could be something way more serious.
I am completely losing my mind here. I’m absolutely terrified of whatever "something else" she’s implying, and now she’s relentless about me getting checked out.
Look, I get it—I know I *should* go. But when you have this level of pure, unadulterated dread—and I'm not even talking about physical pain—but specifically the fear that some doctor is going to look me in the eye and tell me I have anal cancer... man, I think I’d just drop dead on the spot. I don't need a slow decline; I’d die right then and there from sheer panic.
How do you guys deal with that kind of fear? Has anyone here actually bailed on seeing a doctor because of it? Like, you know something isn't right, but you just can't bring yourself to walk through those clinic doors?

So, I’ve been hearing through the grapevine that those brooklyn tablets are actually legit for dealing with hemorrhoids. Thinking about grabbing some today.
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Hey everyone, hope you're all doing alright!
So... hemorrhoids are pure hell... or maybe just one step away from it 😠
I've started trying a few things (it’s helped a bit with the stinging and the pain!), but I've still got those nasty bumps around the area.
Basically, I'm staying on top of cleaning up, using baby wipes, and at night, I apply some cold chamomile compresses to the area—just let them sit there for a bit—and then slather on plenty of Aquaphor.
It’s a struggle, honestly, but that cream seems to be my saving grace so far. Factually speaking... it actually made me pretty mad, though. I picked up some ointment from Čeliković or some brand like that, thinking it would help, but the second I put it on, I swear I nearly jumped out of my skin. The burning was absolutely insane—do not recommend, even if the packaging claims it's some legendary, century-old remedy for this stuff.
Anyway... now I just have to keep hunting for something that actually works. I know I shouldn't be sitting around so much and need to stay active, which is something I am notoriously bad at. But lately, I've been making a conscious effort to avoid sitting directly on it, and I'm going to stick to that plan.
Joshua Barnes6... man, what a heavy name you've got there 👍! Thanks for the tips on chairs; I've been sticking mostly to the soft, comfy ones!😛
But hey, as with everything else in life, being on a hard surface is always better!
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Joshua Barnes6 and I have both been dragged into this absolute hellscape of pain. I’ve been dealing with internal hemorrhoids for years now—nothing major, just some occasional stinging here and there, even bled once or twice—but this current situation? It’s a total nightmare. The pain is relentless, everything down there is swollen up, and honestly, I’m losing my mind.
I have no clue how you manage to use those plugs, man—that sounds excruciatingly painful to me... I mean, sure, it doesn't hurt as much when I'm actually using the bathroom, but sitting down? It's a complete disaster. It feels like there's an atomic bomb detonating inside me.
Thanks for the input. Honestly, I’ve been hitting up therapy sessions for two years straight now, and while I’m not exactly seeing some massive breakthrough, I’m kind of at a loss—like, what else am I supposed to do? For years, it’s just been this relentless cycle of brutal panic attacks, crushing anxiety, and these deep-seated phobias... plus the hypochondria is real. As soon as I feel even a tiny twitch or a weird sensation, I’m already spiraling down an internet rabbit hole, just waiting for the worst-case scenario to hit.
Right now, my gut issues are absolutely wrecking me... and lately, it's my eyes too. I've started seeing these little black floaters drifting right in front of my vision... and then I find out my friend and my mom are seeing them too... which, of course, makes me think it might be some serious eye disease.
It’s just constant fear, fear, and running away... probably. I just don't know how to stop retreating and actually face whatever it is that's constantly breathing down my neck... it’s never that simple. 🤷
Ugh... I gotta be honest, my stress levels have been absolutely through the roof lately... actually, scratch that, they’ve always been through the roof because I’m a total panic attack magnet and deal with some seriously intense anxiety. On top of all that, I’m a massive hypochondriac—and not the fun kind, but the worst kind where I’m convinced I’ve got some horrific, terminal illness, yet I’m too terrified to actually step foot in a doctor's office. Right now, I’m wrestling with these constant stomach pains and digestive issues that have been hanging over my head for like twenty years... you know, with those ups and downs where some days are fine and others are just straight-up misery. If I get even slightly worked up, I’m sprinting to the bathroom immediately... and don't even get me started on coffee, because that sends me running too. But here’s the thing that’s really eating at me: most of the time everything seems totally fine and regular, but then there are these stretches of a few days where things get soft and I start seeing bits of undigested food... ugh, gross. I know I'm acting crazy because I spend every single day obsessively checking my stool and spiraling into these dark, terrifying thoughts, but I am genuinely petrified of seeing a specialist... I feel like I might actually drop dead if I had to go through a colonoscopy or any of those invasive procedures. And look, I already know most "normal people" are gonna tell me I'm just being dramatic, but unfortunately, I can't help it, it's just how I'm wired 🤷
stormyheron4 said:So, I’m scrolling through some health forum today—you know how those places are—and I stumble upon this "expert" giving advice to people struggling with regular bathroom trips. This genius actually suggests that watermelon is the ultimate cure, telling everyone they should just keep snacking on it until things start looking red on the way out.

Oh man... thanks for the heads-up! I am definitely going to go pig out on some watermelon now!🙂
I don’t want to start a whole new thread for this, but I need a quick reality check: Is it actually possible that my morning bathroom trip looked all reddish because I absolutely demolished half a watermelon last night? I mean, I sat there around 10 PM and just went to town on it—half a melon, gone. This morning, everything was pretty soft, like you could clearly see bits of undigested food, and specifically what looked like chunks of watermelon... but since the whole thing was looking kind of red, well, let's just say I'm spiraling a little bit here.
So, I’ve been dealing with this weird situation lately where my bathroom trips look less like a normal digestive process and more like a literal crime scene of undigested food scraps—it’s like my body is just passing stuff through without even trying to process it. Honestly, it’s pretty gross to think about, but I’m trying to wrap my head around why this is happening. What actually causes stool to look like you just swallowed a whole salad and skipped the digestion part entirely?
