So, I started my Fromilid regimen today at 6:00 PM to finally deal with this H. pylori infection... Dr. Goran Ivanišević prescribed a three-pronged approach:
Emanera on an empty stomach, one Fromilid tablet every 12 hours, and two Ulcamed tablets just before meals.
I’ve already noticed a side effect from the Fromilid, though—about an hour in, my heart started racing. My Samsung Health app clocked it at around 100 BPM on the S10, which was a bit unsettling... but it eventually settled down. Now, right before bed, it's dropped back to 60. I'm sticking with it tomorrow, and I'll let you know if things take a turn for the worse. I just want this bacteria wiped out once and for all. 🪓🔨🗡💊🧹
Take care and stay safe
Broken collarbone / Clavicle fracture in Health ·
I had surgery on my clavicle back on March 3rd, 2017, and even now, as of March 10th, I can feel that metal plate in my collarbone quite clearly. My range of motion is pretty much shot; I can't move my arm in most directions, except for my forearm and fingers.
Does that hardware eventually settle down and become less noticeable over time, or is this just how it is? Because honestly... the pain is driving me absolutely insane.
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with hemorrhoids for about 15 years now, and I finally pulled the trigger on surgery at the Mayo Clinic under Dr. Grzalje back on May 29, 2010. At the time, I had four significant ones, roughly the size of a nickel. The whole thing was done under general anesthesia and lasted about three hours—they cauterized two and surgically removed the other two. Honestly, the recovery was brutal; I couldn't even walk properly for 15 days due to the pain. I really thought I had finally seen the last of them, but wouldn't you know it... a little protrusion popped up again about 20 days ago. I don't eat fatty foods, spicy stuff, or anything heavy, yet they just keep coming back. I'm applying St. John's Wort oil mixed with Hemophill and using Preparation H every single day, plus taking chamomile baths twice a day, but this one won't recede... though it isn't swelling much either.
I maintain strict hygiene and I don't drink.
At this rate, I think I'll be stuck with these hieroglyphics for the rest of my life... :-)
Does anyone actually know how to prevent these things from returning for good?

Recovery was brutal; I couldn't even walk for 15 days because of the pain. I truly thought I was done with this nightmare for good, but damn it, a new one popped up about 20 days ago. I watch my diet strictly—nothing greasy, spicy, or heavy—but they just keep coming back. I maintain strict hygiene and I don't drink at all.

"Ligation" essentially involves looping a tight, elastic band around those small internal hemorrhoidal lumps within the anal area. After about a week or so, the hemorrhoids should just... drop off. The procedure itself can be pretty uncomfortable for a day or two. It's perfectly normal to see some bleeding right after the bands are placed, but it shouldn't be heavy. If you notice a significant amount of bright red blood or any clots, you really need to head straight to the emergency room at a place like the Mayo Clinic immediately.

If you're dealing with stage IV hemorrhoids, you really need to look into this:

Radiofrequency ablation (removal) of hemorrhoids is arguably the best treatment available. Unlike the standard surgical procedures you'd find in a hospital setting, this allows for the procedure to be done under epidural anesthesia on an outpatient basis. It results in a much shorter recovery period and
significantly fewer postoperative issues—we're talking about recovering roughly three times faster with about three times less discomfort. This includes a full endoscopic exam $200, followed by the aforementioned treatment $5000.

I've been dealing with chronic external hemorrhoids since 2006. It started out with just a single one, but after about a year, two more popped up... so now I'm stuck with three of them all at once.
I tried using Ultraproct ointment, but for this past year, I’ve been switching between a combination of Preparazione-H and Hemopropin. They seem to dull the pain, sure, but they don't actually make them go away. In fact, I have one that keeps turning into this little 5mm sac...
That little sac tends to fill up with blood sometimes—usually after I eat something spicy or have a glass of red wine—and when that happens, it hurts quite a bit.
My diet is pretty heavy on fruits and vegetables, and my bowel movements are usually very regular every morning.
After I go, my anal area swells up quite a bit, though it does settle down after a few hours or so.
I’m starting to lose faith in herbal remedies, so I’ve decided to go through with surgery at the Mayo Clinic on January 18th, 2010.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I've been suffering with these hemorrhoids for three years now and it's driving me absolutely crazy...
