As a movie, it’s honestly kind of a drag.
But if you look at it through the lens of real life? It’s absolutely incredible.
You have to realize this isn't just fiction—it actually happened, it's happening right now, and it'll probably keep going. There are over 200,000 child soldiers out there today, and we can't forget how many more there were before them who didn't make it. That’s why the themes this film tackles are so heavy and important.
And man, Leo is the absolute heart of this thing. He's a total gem. I don't think any of the new actors coming up today could pull off a role quite like him... but hey, that's just my two cents.👍

Donnie Darko
Requiem for a Dream
REVOLVER-br.1 on this list
Saw 1
The Usual Suspects...
but hey, that's just my take...👍

The Thin Red Line? I’d say it’s pretty unique. Not necessarily because of the war themes—there are plenty of better movies out there dealing with combat—but man, the sheer amount of acting talent packed into this one is just insane. It makes such an impact. And don't even get me started on that score; you can practically feel the music. But hey, that's just my two cents.👍
