The petty, small-minded responses from the average American listener really show you where we're at musically right now. You can just feel the lack of depth and the obsession with superficiality in every single comment—it's honestly loud and clear. They did a great job, though. Maybe Anthony should write a column about it.
Here you go, Anthony, a title for you:

The goose that carried the seagull.

As far as I'm concerned, this uninspired debate is over. I'd much rather see someone with actual weight behind them, like Dorothy or BHD, taking the opposing side—then maybe we’d actually hear some real counterarguments instead of all this mindless shock and ego.
Keith James812 said:So, this guy was watching the broadcast from the local news station—you know, one of those big networks—and he decided Natalie acts like such a total diva... which apparently means she’ll never actually make it as a singer? I mean, seriously? Talk about a total shot in the dark...

Keith James812, bless your heart. Honestly, you always seem to read everything through a totally warped lens, don't you? 😘>
vividstag31 said:dustyscout53, are you seriously 100% sure you aren't just getting the wrong impression of Natalie from the TV shows? Where does all that certainty come from—that she's actually like that? There's a huge difference between a scripted show and reality!

I'm 485% sure she's exactly how she was on TV. Either that, or someone smart told her: "Hey Natalie, just play the airhead—people eat that up, it's totally trendy right now." 😁 😁 😁
Again, I don't have a problem with her voice. But when it comes to personality—you know how we talk in the industry—I've got plenty of issues there. When she isn't singing, she should just stay quiet; let reporters send their questions via fax and have someone else handle the replies. Let her skip the mainstream media appearances entirely—honestly, if she wants to live in some old-school era, that's fine by me.
And look, it's not like I'm going to stop reading Rolling Stone just because Natalie gives a stupid interview in my favorite magazine.
I'm just saying, the girl is a bit much. It's just a fact. And hey, it's not like I'm some young pop star jealous of a more successful colleague or anything like that.
She's painfully dim. But like I've been saying since my first post here—that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, actually.
Maybe when she grows up, she'll realize how she acted. Who knows? Maybe she'll head off to Tibet for ten years or something.
Keith James812 said:And you, dustyscout53—has it ever happened to you where you act all forced or just weirdly different around a girl you actually like compared to when you're just hanging with the guys?

Forced? Man, that woman acted like a total princess on a grain of rice the whole time she was stuck in that literal hellhole—you know, that mysterious house they had them in. Everyone else was pretty much acting normal, except Natalie—she’s always got some issue, something’s always bothering her, she’s constantly rolling her eyes... unhappy with the food, unhappy with this, unhappy with that. Honestly, I looked at the new girl a few times during that house segment, and you definitely noticed Natalie rolling her eyes more than the commercials. And those commercials were on every damn minute. Good thing she didn't get a concussion from all that eye-rolling. Actually, she probably would have if she had a brain to begin with. That's what I call "forced" behavior. A bit of a stretch on the definition, sure, but still.
If Natalie actually had a real personality, she would've taken first place without any issues. I mean, look at who actually won and it'll all make sense to you. Was there some conspiracy behind it? Doubt it. Natalie is just irritating—not just to me, but to most people who ended up picking the absolute legend.
And I'm honestly bored of repeating how Natalie has great ears and a killer voice. Now you want me to go out and find rising stars in America for her age group, Keith James812? That's quite the request. How old is she even, 17? There are plenty of 17-year-old singers in the States who have made it big, right? Like Claudia or that little Ivanna SMS. 😁 😁
Hmm hmm hmm hmm... so many choices, who do I pick? 😲 😲 😁 😁
hollowseal33 said:Pjetlić, 🙄 that’s actually exactly what I was suggesting with my last comment. 🙂

Man, all this nonsense is enough to make anyone lose their mind. 😁 😁
My bad. 😘
manager said:I mean, yeah—those people calling her out for an encore realized she missed the mark too, right? Everyone there was just clueless about what they were listening to. I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Get real. The song was performed well, regardless of whether Natalie has any brains or not—that’s beside the point. You can't even compare Tajac and Natalie; Tajac relied on her looks while her voice was... well, let's just say it was subpar at best. It's like comparing Bono and Daniel.

So you think Natalie's got more going on upstairs than just her looks? Maybe grab some better glasses, man. 🙂
And since we're bringing up Bono and Daniel—technically, Daniel has a better range, and he actually understood the soul behind the lyrics about Julia. That song is still a staple for us younger crowds and has been covered by tons of punk bands, which just proves how universal it is. Honestly, your comparison totally missed the mark. Bono is great specifically because he knows how to channel raw emotion through his music.
And apparently, wearing perfect makeup is what gets you an encore now? That's a pretty wild argument. They should've just put some seagulls in the crowd and seen who actually calls for an encore then.
hollowseal33 said:nah—as long as you're having a good time, who cares? 😁

Look, Koka, I don't mean to sound cocky or anything—but just stick to the music. And honestly, if everyone else can't wrap their heads around what the songwriter actually meant, maybe they should just skip over the sex references entirely.
Keith James812 said:that Tajči...

😁

and I'm actually trying to have a serious discussion here 😁

The point was Tajči was singing songs that actually fit her age—and honestly, she nailed them. She’s got the voice and the ear for it. She could've been a massive star in this country if she’d wanted to, but she just didn't. And let's be real, she was never trying to act like Natalie Portman, even though she didn't exactly hit the big leagues through those American Idol style auditions.
So, calling Tajči an "unserious" singer just because Natalie Portman is considered "serious"? That’s just plain stupid.
Like I mentioned before—and Jason Morgan2 put it way better—Natalie Portman is basically a resonance chamber. Just empty space. A great echo, though!
I'm not saying she won't succeed. But sorry, but a woman who only knows how to love herself? It's hard for her to sing a love song, no matter how good her voice is. That's really what we're talking about here—not vocal training, but actual emotion. A song is just a bridge for the artist's feelings to go from their soul, through the singer, and into the listener's ears. Someone can nail every single note technically, sure, but they can still sound totally soulless or just get the vibe completely wrong.
For instance, I don't doubt Natalie Portman would "perfectly" sing something like a Zvonko Bogdan ballad, but I also wouldn't want to hear it—I'd probably just laugh. Unlike Bogdan, who performs a song and leaves the listener feeling absolutely wrecked by the end.
It's about the emotion, not the technique. Kind of like sex, too—it doesn't matter how many tools or skills you have if the woman isn't into you, right? It's just not gonna happen.
Jason Morgan2 said:Look, you gotta actually read the lyrics first. Then really get what they mean. Then sing them. Start silently in your head, you know? Then belt it out. Lay on a beach in Miami and just click away like a Seagull. Laugh hysterically at your own clicking—then do the whole thing all over again. Repeat a few times. Wait five years. In the meantime, just keep singing "Let's go crazy tonight..."

It’s not even a song about a guy, it’s about a Seagull. A bird that just drops stuff from the sky. There's nothing deep or Taoist about it—though, hey, everything is Tao if you look hard enough.
"Seagull" is just one of those festival anthems that somehow turned into something way bigger. We shouldn't be getting all dogmatic about it now. It's not like Oliver Hudson was clicking on beaches—he was probably just clicking his glass against the table in some local pub.
And honestly, Runjić wasn't clicking either. Nobody was clicking. People only clicked when Joseph Stalin came to visit Miami. Back then, everyone was clicking. And look at them now, calling Račan a communist... please, give me a break, as if they're any different. Did I totally derail this thread? Yeah, but I did it with style. 😁 😁
Honestly, Natalie Portman would be perfect just to fill those awkward silences between songs with some quiet moments.
Honestly, Natalie Portman is just clueless—like, totally out of it. 🙂
And even Drito called him a total loser. But hey, once Drito speaks, the conversation is basically over, right? 🙂 🙂

Keith James812 said:I totally get why those North American nationalists are freaking out over Rambelli—it’s pretty wild when a Jewish woman claims we aren't some genocidal bunch... 😁

It's just that victim mentality, you know? Like, what's that term... Stockholm syndrome? Where the victim basically starts rooting for the kidnappers.
Natalie Portman is living in a country of 330 million people, and after just one audition for a People Magazine star, she’s already acting like she’s made it big. If that’s what passes for being a bright young girl these days, then we’re all in serious trouble. I mean, sure, she’s got a great voice—but does she have anything else? Maybe that’s actually an advantage if you're just trying to make it in the US music scene.
Look, some folks here think Natalie Portman isn't dim-witted, but I’m just not buying it. Honestly, let's just wait for a few interviews to roll out before we pass judgment, right? 👋

granitepuma3 said:Rambi claims he’s "from Israel" and is basically obsessed with Franjo Harmon—like, it’s bordering on a fetish at this point.

So, get this—we’ve got a gay guy who can't stand gay people, a Jewish woman cheering for someone who’s just thrilled his wife isn't a Jewish woman, and a feminist fighting for the patriarchy.
Talk about character design... feels like they were ripped straight out of a comic book. 😁 😁 😁
Wild bunch, for sure. Definitely worth keeping an eye on. 😁 😁

granitepuma3, look, those are just childhood traumas—you know, that whole Aryan upbringing thing—it’s not like Keith James812 is some crazy girl or an idiot, she was just raised that way. It’s sad, really, but what can you do? You shouldn't judge her for it. You have to try and understand her. Which isn't easy, obviously... but it's not impossible either.
I don't know anything about ramb pathology, nor do I care to. As for the rest of them, they're neither here nor there. Honestly, that little dash of hers is kind of cute—every time I post about churches in the States, she brings up how much she pathologically hates them, bless her heart. 😍

I just solved the whole thing. Basically, I don't bother trying to make "friends" with women—I just hit on them. 😁 😁
Always, no matter what. As long as I'm single, obviously. Like, never again. 🙂 😁 😁
And once I'm actually in a relationship? Man, I have no clue how to act around women. Actually, scratch that—I know exactly what I'm doing. I just make them bring me a beer and mess with them. Well, most of the time. I've been getting a little soft lately, though. Ava, get in the kitchen and grab me a beer! 😁 😁 😁
And hey, wash my feet while you're at it! Patagonia, whip up some pancakes for me! Yeah, that kind of thing.

Man, honestly? Watching a cactus bloom would be way more exciting than scrolling through these narcoleptic posts. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
vividstag31 said:Do you actually know her, or are you just talking out of your neck?

I mean, pretty much anyone who’s had the misfortune of watching People Magazine knows her. Seriously—if anyone can name even one coherent sentence Natalie Portman has ever said that wasn't just a "hello," I'll shut my mouth for good. 😁 😁

The Boss said:These IMF women—supposedly the softer, prettier sex—are totally embracing those old-school patriarchal roles. They’re out there aggressively pushing these ultra-conservative, regressive values, fighting against basically everything progressive... segregation, anti-abortion stances, tearing down human rights... you name it.

So, who actually deserves the title of the ultimate IMF conservative housewife?

Man, as soon as I saw your post—especially with a title like that—I immediately thought of our very own Keith James812. 👍
I honestly think once she gets older, she'll be all about defending a man's right to just take whatever he wants from a woman. It's that kind of deep-seated hatred. Just like how Powerlock thinks being gay is "abnormal." It's messed up beyond imagination. 👍
