Where in the US can you actually go for the heavy-duty bowel surgeries (small or large intestine)? Like, where do they have tons of experience, and which doctor should I be looking for?
I heard San Francisco recently became a referral center for that kind of stuff?

Didn't the Fed Chair say there wasn't even a reason to step in before? Not until bank bailouts started climbing.
Wrong.
The deficit isn't an issue RIGHT NOW, but you've got 12 months to pay off that debt.🙂
So, we've got someone born in 1962. Because they've been hanging out in a room for years where there might be smoke or carbon monoxide leaking in from a wood stove, we did a finger prick blood test.
Went to the clinic because of this cough that's been hanging on for about a month. Weirdly enough, the second I lie down, the coughing just stops. 🙂 I'm in my early thirties.
Everything came back within the Ref unit except for:
EOSINOPHILIC GRANULOCYTES 9.8% (ref up to 7) Glucose is right at the bottom limit Cholesterol 5.7 (ref. 4.7)
My GP suspects an allergy since my lungs sounded totally fine when he listened to them. I've already finished two rounds of antibiotics.
I'm taking Dassault for allergies (started a few days before the blood work), and before that, I was on Panthus and Folcodin. Thanks
What's the deal with the CRP, GERB, and heart stuff?
CRP is 0.6 I have GERB, so I take Nexium whenever I need to, and I've been on it for the last two weeks because of this cough. Heart seems okay, I guess?! My EKG from a year ago was normal.

Everything came back within the normal range on my blood work, except for a few things:
EOSINOPHILS 9.8% (ref up to 7) Glucose is sitting right on the lower limit. Cholesterol is 5.7 (ref. 4.7)
My primary care doctor thinks it might be an allergy since my lungs sounded totally fine during the exam. I've already done two rounds of antibiotics.
I started taking Dassault for allergies (just a couple days before the blood draw), and before that, I was on Panthus and Folcodin.
Betty Hayes10 said:I also wanted to chime in for bluegardener4—look, if you're already spending the cash on probiotics, just grab some vitamins too. Like someone else was saying, all those antibiotics have totally wrecked your gut flora, and you need that stuff to actually absorb nutrients. Without vitamins, you can basically say goodbye to your immune system and your overall health. Maybe that's even the main reason you're catching every cold that goes around.
I've been taking Culturelle (the 14-strain one) plus Centrum for about two months now. Cheers
Alright, I just went back and read those posts you were talking about and saw your questions. Looks like we totally misread each other, so I guess I led you down the wrong path. My bad. I thought when you were asking about inflammation, you meant SOMETHING ELSE entirely, not my throat. So, let me try this again: my doctor has always checked me out, usually just listening to my chest and stuff. Every single time he’s been writing me a prescription for antibiotics because of my throat (which is basically why I go), he told me it looked inflamed. But before that, he actually gave me a physical exam.
I honestly think you’re getting a bit too caught up in those conspiracy theory vibes. I don't even know why I'd bother hiding anything, especially on a forum where we're all pretty much anonymous anyway. The way my doctor visits work is basically just me showing up, having them check my throat, hearing it's inflamed, and then being handed some antibiotics. They usually just check what they prescribed last time to make sure they're switching things up.
Here's a little something interesting though—a buddy of mine in my circle deals with the exact same thing. It's like, the second the weather forecast predicts a cold snap, he's down for the count (runny nose, fever, the whole deal). His symptoms aren't quite the same as mine, but he gets hit just as often. Difference is, he doesn't bother with doctors or antibiotics.
melloworca6 said:bluegardener4, man, listen to what Body said. He’s telling you to run some basic tests before jumping straight to antibiotics. If this keeps happening, seriously, ask them to send you for more in-depth testing—maybe even see an allergist or something. It just isn't right to be getting sick every single month.
Thanks for all the advice, guys. Look, I’m not some total hypochondriac or anything, and that's not why I hit up the doctor. It's just that the second I feel even the slightest symptom, I'm out the door. My job is high-stakes, you know? I can't afford to be sidelined, so I grab meds immediately because staying home isn't an option for me—though, yeah, I get it, that's probably not the smartest way to live. I'll try to work on my habits, I guess.
😉So, garlic is off the table.

I honestly have no clue which question I supposedly missed answering. 🙂
