Please let me know if you find anything or where... I need some for an outfit by the 15th. 😉 So I'll have enough time to hunt them down if I do.
Hey,
Does anyone know where I could pick up some over-the-knee boots that actually fit people with thicker calves? Maybe an online recommendation would work, as long as they're legit. I guess you guys are my last hope.. 😒
Both of you have sent me a PM! 😉
My Dorothy Perkins overalls just showed up too, and they're huge on me.🙂
I guess I thought maybe they’d be a bit bigger, but there wasn't another size available, and honestly, they're really cute and super comfy. Now I'm just kind of losing my mind over them.🙄

Hmm, I have a sister too, are you L.? 😂
I feel for your sister, I know how she is. 🙂
@Charles Gomez4, the dress is awesome, even the black color doesn't bother me since everything is accented with those bright colors and jewelry, though I'm not really a fan of boleros, unless we mean the same thing (that short thing that goes just under the bust with long sleeves?). I feel like that bolero just ruins the little dress, or maybe I just haven't seen a good one. 😕
I was at a wedding recently and really wanted to post a photo to break the ice, but I don't have a single shot of myself where I actually look decent. Maybe if I get dressed up again I'll take a picture... if that's weird. 🤣
@Rebecca Doyle6, the inspiration is actually pretty inspiring... there really are some beautiful pieces of clothing out there!😍
Charles Gomez4 said:I think Next is actually great for that, especially since they carry most stuff in both Regular and Tall. The materials are super high quality and really hold up. For example... Check out this collection of women's tailoring from Next: http://www.next.co.uk/shop/gender-wo...on-tailoring-0
I’ve heard about Next before, and looking at what you posted, I kind of like it too... I’ll probably spend some time checking them out. Thanks! 😉
I get that... though I'm only, what, 25? And honestly, even two years ago, I was probably carrying about 50 pounds less than I am now. It's been a bit of a ride—going from being a competitive athlete to dealing with a spinal injury and surgery at 23, plus some hormone stuff. So yeah, I ended up right where I am, having swung about 50 pounds back and forth over the last few years. 🙂 But anyway, that’s a whole different conversation. I’m actually here because I'm trying to find a professional look for my wedding since I just graduated college. 😉

Yeah, I’m always down for that, I mean, why hold onto things that don't work? I haven't even worn these first ones yet—they still have the tags on them—but I bought them for a specific reason, I guess I just haven't had the right moment to wear them yet. If I don't start wearing them soon, I'll probably just list them, especially since I'm hoping they end up being way too big for me once my diet actually kicks in for the thousandth time.🙂
As for the other stuff I ordered from the pre-sale, I'm really hoping it's love at first sight, but if they don't fit, I'm getting rid of them immediately.🙂
Anyway, Poshmark rules! I rarely buy anything there—maybe twice so far—but everything I've listed was either a wrong order or something that ended up being the wrong size.😉
Both of them were just 15 bucks plus free shipping, I guess.
I’ve been lurking in this thread for a while now, and I have to say, it’s actually been pretty helpful for finding new online shops.🙂 Well, I finally decided to just jump in and actually participate properly...
My weight tends to fluctuate quite a bit, so my closet is basically a mix of everything from a US size 6 to a 16. (I still haven't figured out how to make the weight stay off once it's gone, I guess.🙂) Right now, I’m in one of my heavier phases—maybe a 14 or 16 up top, and a 16 or 18 on the bottom.🙂
Anyway, back to the point... about two weeks ago when Dorothy Perkins had free shipping, I picked up these pants:http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpu...5d&bi=21&ps=20 I ordered a size 20. The fabric and look are great, and since I'm about 5'10", the length is perfect. Though, if I had tried them on first, I probably would've gone a size down. They're loose in the waist, but they fit my hips—which is my widest part—just right, so I'm actually happy because I can just wear a belt and call it a day. Honestly, when I put my measurements into their size guide, it told me I was a 22, but I figured the guide was just wrong, and I was right.😉
I ended up ordering again yesterday since they have free shipping again.🙂

I went with the 20 again since the 18 was out of stock, and I grabbed an L because I was worried the R might be too short. I guess we'll see how this goes.🙂
