I’ve been dealing with this since I was a little kid—objects just seem to swell up and get huge, then shrink back down again. It happens pretty often when I lie down in bed and close my eyes... I never really worried about it much, honestly, I didn't think much of it. The only other time I ever heard of anyone experiencing something like this—besides reading through your posts here—was when my sister took a tumble while skiing and ended up with a mild concussion. She told me, "Oh man, it was terrifying; for a second, I actually felt like everything around me was growing and shrinking, it was awful!" I tried telling her, "Girl, stop exaggerating, it's not that big of a deal, I've dealt with this my whole life," but of course, she didn't believe me. She basically thought I was just trying to steal the spotlight because she was the one who actually hit her head 🙄
anyway... it felt a little weird to realize it's a thing. It makes sense that it would happen after a concussion, so you start wondering why it keeps happening to me all the time. But hey, at least now I know I'm not alone...
Things are actually looking up today. He’s starting to remember things again and recognizes the people around him. I guess he doesn't recall much else besides, like you mentioned, that one terrible accident...
There’s this huge pharmacy right on the corner of Martic and Smiciklas—it's basically across from the Toyota dealership. It feels more like a medical supply store because they carry all sorts of health gadgets. They actually have these eye masks that aren't just for sleeping, but for relaxation too; apparently, they have magnets built in or something. My mom picked one up and she’s pretty happy with it. I think I might switch over to that kind of mask once I finally wear out the one I got from H&M🤣The only difference is it won't cost you like two bucks like the one at H&M; it'll probably be closer to $10 if my memory serves me right... so if you don't mind spending a little extra, go for it.👍
And I'm pretty sure they'll have those earplugs there, too.
Hey, if you end up buying one, let me know how the mask works out for you!
A guy I know had a nasty accident at a motocross race yesterday. It looked pretty grim—people actually thought he might be in a coma—but luckily he pulled through relatively okay. The catch is his kidney is swollen, and they might have to remove it, plus he’s lost his memory completely. Like, totally wiped. He doesn't even recognize his own brother or his girlfriend, and he has zero recollection of ever racing motocross...
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with this (hopefully not firsthand) and what the odds are that his memory comes back... I can't even wrap my head around the idea of not remembering my own life... just total emptiness, a complete blank slate...
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know...
Does anyone know if we'll be playing the quarterfinals in Cologne or Hamburg? Also, I was wondering if they're planning to organize any charter flights to Cologne for the Final?
