Petar Kružić said:Obelix, just shut that woman up. She has absolutely no right to call me a fascist.

It’s honestly ridiculous how she goes out of her way to praise those old communist dictators.

Does that make sense?

Well, there you have it.😁

Well, you went ahead and called me one directly.
But honestly, how am I supposed to know if that isn't true? It isn't really my style to play dirty or make baseless assumptions about people, including you.

At the end of the day, you know exactly who you are and what you stand for 😳 😁 😁 and you certainly know exactly what it was that I wrote.👋

A piece of paper can justify just about anything, much like how various marketplaces can be manipulated to show whatever they want..👋

oh man, give me a break please🙄 😁 😁 😁

Obelikše said:But why? We aren't robots. It doesn't mean anything to someone if you swear at them. Some people do it every single day. Why should everyone be granted identical rights, whether they're an internet troll or just a well-meaning participant who loses their cool and swears once every six months?

They won't have those rights, nor have they ever actually possessed them. Besides, Action has been playing both the educator and the moral authority here, which is a dynamic I genuinely enjoy dissecting because I know there’s absolutely zero credibility in trying to play those kinds of games.

That's exactly why this thread exists. It's mostly for the entertainment value. 😉

And what was all that nonsense being peddled by this supposedly innocent soul—whether it was just my perception or someone else's—with those fairy tales about PMS and useless toys?

Or how that little dark cloud of a user flooded the thread and, in just two moves, managed to drag every possible allusion to someone's private data out of Lip? Was that meant to be a joke?

For heaven's sake, is this a dive bar? It is. So, how are we supposed to deal with the bartenders then, huh?😁 😁

You might think Lip reacted emotionally to some news about the smoke in Jasenovac 😂 😂 but look at everything that man felt entitled to write in his "grand forum opus." 😂

You see, Obelikše... there is a very strong possibility that he did that entirely on purpose. There is a very, very small chance that he was simply provoked.😉
Nationalism vs. Chauvinism: Where is the line? in Close to Politics ·
Michael Adams2 said:That’s exactly what I was saying back when those freeloaders all gathered in the town square for that radio broadcast, I think it was called... what was it again?

Go ahead and let them have it, man... they really don't deserve any sympathy at all.🙄

The thing is, that wasn't some sort of nationalist outburst; if anything, it was a tiny glimmer of hope🙄 during those heavy, leaden times we went through.

And then, once the leadership had to step down,😁 the opposition really decided to lay down the law!

zap805 said:We are seeing more and more instances, particularly during sporting events between clubs from the US and Mexico, where the loudest sections of the crowd are shouting increasingly hostile messages toward the opposing nation. 😢
The prevailing trend involves chauvinistic rhetoric designed to stoke national hatred and exclusion, often by unfairly painting the entire Mexican population with the brush of outdated extremist ideologies or doing the same to Americans.😕

The healthy antidote to this kind of bigotry should be a sense of nationalism rooted in a genuine love for one's own heritage
(like saying, "I am proud to be an American") 🙂.
We can only wait to see when we will finally reach a point where pride in our own identity takes precedence over animosity toward others.👎 Until then, perhaps a poet like Walt Whitman might describe our current state as:
"Only hatred 😠 is eternal."

Nationalism has already achieved its purpose, whereas chauvinism has mutated into something far more global and sinister.

Instead of lifting us up, the age of Aquarius seems to have awakened dark spirits once again.🙄

If we look at what is happening within these specific regional tensions, it really comes down to deep-seated frustration; a large portion of these most vocal agitators—regardless of which flag they claim to represent—base their entire national identity solely on the negation of the other side.

It essentially means there is a painful emptiness inside them.

Now, please, let’s not have you throwing a little "pedagogical tantrum" my way.

Come on now,😁 this isn't some dark, grime-covered dive bar where people huddle in shadowy corners to chant about ghosts from the past, nor is it a place where women get cursed out just because they didn't produce a clean ashtray fast enough.

I am certainly not breaking any laws here, though I suppose you and your little entourage might be, if we're being honest.😳 😁

George Morgan3 said:A lot of people, much like yourself, find the whole aging process a bit too difficult to stomach, so they retreat into earlier chapters of their lives, romanticizing them by attaching those memories to all sorts of things. It’s how you see certain generations clinging to the era of "🙂Franz Josef"
for decades on end. It seems to me that you are simply feeling emotionally vulnerable and a bit isolated, which leads you to redirect your energy toward places where failure isn't a possibility and there are no real challenges to face. You find solace in the past, and I suspect that's where names like "
Sarah Wilson95🙂" and "future shock" actually come from—they're just subconscious ways of masking the obvious.

Are you serious?😁 😁 😁

Please, don't come for me like that... 🥳 😳 😁

It really is quite an impressive group they've assembled, isn't it? They follow them from the polling stations straight to the concert venues, treating everything with the exact same level of devotion, as if a political party membership card were nothing more than a ticket to a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. 🙂 🙏 😳

By the way, I have to ask, why focus so much on Israel? Most people actually born on that territory have either been displaced or are forced to watch everything unfold from behind a security fence. The folks living on this side of the line were all born somewhere else entirely.

But if that’s what you consider... IMPORTANT... 🤣

I highly doubt Melin would ever end up making the headlines—unless by "headlines" you mean local tabloids—and even then, only if some skinheads decided to stir up trouble there.🤔

😁 It’s pretty obvious you’re quite familiar with what little remains of the "normal" spots left in a city like Chicago.🙄 😁 😁 😁 👋
