Then, in their downtime, they love to tear down doctors and intellectuals.
It was the same back in the old days. People used to mock the educated class. They’d talk about how it should just be the laborers, the farmers, and the "honest" working class.🙄
If you ask me, nobody is actually bashing anyone here.😕 In my book, anyone who spends their time tearing others down isn't much of an intellectual themselves.
I don't get why someone who is skilled and works hard with their hands is supposedly worth less than some professor or doctor—or why they should have to earn less.😕
A person earns exactly what they pour into themselves and their craft. Take a professor, for example: if he finishes his degree and never touches a book again for the rest of his life, he shouldn't be making more than a "regular" tradesperson or a small business owner. Why should he? Just because he walked across a stage once? That’s not exactly a difficult feat if you actually have the drive.
If all he does for the next forty years is parrot the same things he learned in college like a trained bird, then having a degree doesn't make him any more valuable or smarter than anyone else.
A hundred years ago, professors were treated like deities because they, along with priests and doctors, were the only ones with access to books. Nowadays, your average person who actually has the discipline to learn and invest in themselves often knows significantly more than your average professor or teacher... at least when it comes to the state of things in America.☕
