Could I have HIV? in Health ·
If you're hanging around Washington, D.C., just head up toward the city center to the infectious disease clinic—it's right where the 14 bus heads uphill 😁—and go get tested. It won't take long, and while you're there, you might as well grab some free condoms 😁... just stop being so reckless...
Mosquito bites and stings in Health ·
Alright, what is actually going on with the mosquitoes this year? Over at my place (near the cornfields 🙄), they are absolutely out of control! They start showing up in the shade around 5 p.m., and as soon as it cools down just a bit, they’re out in the sun in massive swarms. It’s becoming impossible to live—I can't even open the windows at the house. On top of that, these weird, mutated ones have popped up too; they're like twice the size of a normal mosquito and way more aggressive (are those the tiger ones?). It's a total nightmare... I've already been eaten alive, and summer hasn't even really started yet.
Leg and foot cramps: Any advice? in Health ·
Hey there!

Quick question—does anyone know of a natural remedy (tea, drink, etc.) that helps prevent or ease up muscle cramps when you're pushing yourself physically?

I've been dealing with this for a long time now, and honestly, no matter how much water I chug, my limbs and torso just start seizing up. It happens once I finally relax, sometimes while I'm actually active, and occasionally out of nowhere—like if I just tuck my legs under my chair at my desk...

Since I spend a lot of time cycling and playing various sports, it’s becoming a bit of a headache. I know Magnesium effervescent tablets usually help, but I was wondering if there might be a more natural way to handle it?

Thnx for any help!

Mark Hill82 said:The only slightly annoying part is once you pass the Workers area and start heading up—there’s this one stretch where you have to walk about 100 meters against traffic. But honestly, it's probably not a big deal.

Hehe, are you talking about that spot near the ExxonMobil?🙂 I pass by there every single day, and man, it's such a pain. The sidewalk leads you right TO that point, and right FROM it, but someone clearly forgot to pour the concrete for those 100 meters in between. You basically have to choose between trekking through the grass—which might end in mud—or just stepping out into the street for thirty seconds to go the wrong way. I usually just take my chances with oncoming traffic since cars are usually slowing down there anyway, pulling onto the Midwestern highway from the gas station.

I take this route every single day, and if you ask me, the best way to handle it is hitting the Interstate Junction over to Vukovar-style streets. I’m just not a fan of all those pedestrians on Broadway—honestly, I avoid it entirely whenever I can, even if I'm right there. I'd much rather just merge into traffic. Besides, I drive along Vukovar-style daily and it's actually a pretty decent stretch. There’s a bike lane running the whole length and the pavement is mostly fine. From there, you can just hop through The Circle and you're in the Suburban District in about five minutes.
