Dealing with bruising after a facelift in Health ·
A friend of mine just went under the knife for a facelift... and now, three months later, she’s dealing with these three hematomas that feel incredibly hard to the touch—large, painful, and honestly pretty scary. Does anyone know how these actually get cleared up, and more importantly, is this something she should be seriously worried about?

I dealt with this exact same mess—hair, lashes, eyebrows, the whole nine yards—but I have hypothyroidism, so my thyroid levels are all over the place. Nothing surprising there.

I actually had my TSH, T3, and T4 levels checked recently... everything came back normal. Did you find out you had an issue through those same tests? And more importantly, have your brows and lashes finally grown back yet?

I can't believe this... does nobody here actually have any experience with this?

to help with rapid eyelash growth. A whole bunch of my girlfriends have tried it themselves, and honestly, it worked wonders for them; their lashes ended up looking way thicker and noticeably longer.

Give that article a read and see what you think.

What I'm actually wondering about is... what kind of symptoms or actual medical issues could this be linked to? Is nobody else picking up on that?

So, over the last month, my eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair have been falling out like crazy... I’ve lost about 70% of my brows, 50% of my lashes, and my hair is thinning out big time. Has anyone else gone through something similar??? To be honest, I've been under some seriously intense stress lately—like, crushing levels of it. Please help me out here... what could be causing this?? Any idea what kind of health issues might trigger these symptoms?

Just looking at a high fibrinogen level by itself doesn't tell us much—really. It could point toward some kind of inflammation, sure, but it isn't a guarantee. What actually matters is whether you're feeling any symptoms that prompted this, along with how your other results look—things like your KKS, CRP, or a coagulation profile if you had one done.

It’s worth noting that the value you mentioned is only slightly elevated, so there’s absolutely no reason to panic just yet.

To figure out what’s actually going on, you should probably have that fibrinogen test repeated, and maybe check a few other parameters too, depending on what your doctor recommends.

Fibrinogen levels can spike temporarily, so it’s more about watching the trend—seeing if it's climbing or dropping. High levels show up in all sorts of situations: smokers, people carrying extra weight, during pregnancy, or even from taking oral contraceptives. Sometimes it's tied to specific illnesses, but honestly, it can happen to perfectly healthy people, too.

It could be a sign of some inflammation or an infection, or perhaps a lingering "smoldering" infection somewhere.

Unfortunately, without a full exam, it’s impossible to say for certain what we're dealing with.

Best regards. 🙂

Just looking at an elevated fibrinogen level on its own doesn't tell us much—really. It could be a sign of some inflammation somewhere, but it might also be nothing at all. What actually matters is whether you're feeling any symptoms that prompted the test in the first place, and what the rest of your labs look like (things like your CBC, CRP, or a coagulation panel if you had one done).

It’s worth noting that the value you mentioned is only slightly elevated, so there’s absolutely no reason to panic just yet.

To figure out what's actually going on, you should probably have your doctor re-run the fibrinogen test and maybe a few other parameters based on their specific recommendation.

Sometimes fibrinogen levels just spike temporarily, so it’s more about watching the trend—whether it's staying steady, climbing, or dropping back down. High levels can pop up in smokers, people carrying extra weight, during pregnancy, from taking oral contraceptives, or even due to certain underlying conditions—though sometimes, perfectly healthy people just have a high reading.

It could potentially be related to some kind of inflammation, an infection, or even a lingering low-grade infection site.

Unfortunately, without a full physical exam and a look at the whole picture, it’s impossible to say for sure.

Best, 🙂

I sent you a private message... thanks
Anyone else dealing with this... the upper limit is supposed to be 3.5, but mine is sitting at 4.5?
What could be the issue here...
That’s exactly why there’s so much pressure—political favors and all that nonsense—to land those government jobs. You get the "security," a decent paycheck, and basically zero actual work to do. Now they’re talking about a 3% pay cut? Meanwhile, over at my firm, we’re dealing with forced unpaid Fridays—taking a 20% hit on our checks—plus an extra 3% just to keep the lights on. It feels like we're being shaken down. Those of us in the private sector are the ones actually carrying this entire economy on our backs. We're already working four-day weeks... honestly, the federal agencies should just implement unpaid Fridays too. That way, everyone would actually feel the weight of this crisis equally. Right now, it’s just a massive burden on the people actually doing the work.

So, what’s the verdict? Are you guys actually satisfied? Is this whole alchemy thing working? Does anyone actually have any charisma... or maybe just a knack for making money?
