Looking at someone else's recovery process... yeah, it stings a bit, but it’s totally worth it. You won't see the full results right away; it takes a few months to really settle, and you might still feel some tenderness if you touch the tip of your nose up to a year later. It is a complex procedure, for sure, but an absolutely incredible option for anyone dealing with breathing issues or just wanting to refine their profile.
Whatever path you choose, make sure you sleep propped up—either semi-sitting or fully upright! Whatever you do, don't lie flat. If you do, all that bruising is going to migrate straight to your forehead, and you'll end up looking like a very agitated extra from a sci-fi movie. Also, just a heads-up: having those nasal packs removed on day seven can be pretty uncomfortable.
Don't skip out on facial massage or lymphatic drainage after the surgery. Honestly, it feels great and it's super helpful for the healing process!
Make sure to load up on B-complex vitamins before the big day!
Melissa Rivera47 said:Oh, I was totally floored by Dr. Glumičić's prices too, believe me... 13k and 200 for surgery, $50 exams, and $200 testing... just terrifying...
That’s actually not right! Dr. Glumičić handles the nose procedures $2667. That's exactly what I paid him, and it's the same amount a friend of mine paid after her recent surgery!
Plus, you can get all those tests done at the hospital using your insurance!
From what I understand, parents don't actually need to sign off on this. If things get awkward and she doesn't want to explain the real reason she needs to go, she could always just say she's dealing with some physical discomfort or pain.
Once she's actually in the exam room with the gynecologist, there is absolutely no reason for her to mention anything about her sexual history to her parents.
I honestly don't see why she wouldn't just see a private doctor?
Maybe you could meet up with her in NYC, introduce yourself as an older sister figure, and help her get checked out through a private clinic.
Haha... man, you put that so perfectly. It’s like a localized itch that just won't quit. 😁 Pretty technical way of putting it, right?
Now, Pavlović's diaper rash cream is absolute gold, but you really should apply it to a clean surface. You don't want to be digging in there with your finger on an unwashed area—you might just end up introducing some nasty bacteria into your system.
Basically, wash up before bed and then go to town with that baby cream. It’s the best stuff out there. It’ll soften everything up so that having a bowel movement doesn't feel like a post-traumatic scratching session.
Grab a small bottle of antiseptic spray (like a travel-sized Bactine) and once you've wiped with toilet paper after a BM, give the irritated area a quick spritz to disinfect. It’ll help soothe things and keep everything clean.
I’d stay away from wet wipes if I were you; they might actually make the stinging worse since that area stays damp under your clothes, which can lead to even more irritation.
Is that enough info, or do you need me to keep going? 😁
Okay, so I honestly thought the media was just being dramatic, but then last night, this thing landed right on my leg—specifically the inner thigh (yeah, yeah, I know where it was going, damn it)—and I immediately noticed it was covered in those crazy spots. I managed to swat it with a newspaper and finally killed it.
The problem is, the bite it left behind is swelling up like crazy. It’s turned into this massive 12 cm circle with a purplish-brown center, and it hurts like hell. The whole area is super inflamed.
To make matters worse, I just got bitten on my forearm too (probably by a buddy) and now that one is starting to swell as well.
I’m feeling pretty miserable right now. Both bites are throbbing, and I’m wondering what I should actually do and what kind of treatment they might give me if I head to the ER.
Also, does any of this affect breastfeeding?
Thanks!
