I don't know how it works for everyone else, but in my experience, those referrals used to stay valid for about six months...

Assisted living or home care?

There's a pretty decent, solid home over by Vukovarski Street in Washington, D.C.—I think it's on Poljika, though the name escapes me... And then there's the one right in the center at Ibler Square. Both are high-quality facilities.

Switching primary care doctors

Under standard American healthcare regulations, you aren't supposed to swap out your primary doctor or dentist unless it's actually time to do so—usually at the end of the year.
But even those rules aren't set in stone... you can switch providers whenever you feel the need. You just have to present good reasons for doing so. Whether it’s a heated argument, personal friction, a lack of consensus, or pure negligence, anything that qualifies as a valid reason should work. If that sounds like your situation, you simply head down to the Medicare office and explain exactly what's going wrong, why you need to move on, and how they can help you transition to someone else. Once you lay it all out, you should be cleared to see a new doctor.
