You took the words right out of my mouth...! I immediately thought of Merrick the second I saw what this thread was about.
One of the most heartbreaking scenes—truly gut-wrenching—is when Anthony Hopkins brings him to his home and introduces him to his wife; John just breaks down, looking so vulnerable and fragile, saying: "I'm just not used to being treated so well by such a beautiful woman."
