What really threw me off was the constant influx of new faces and the shifting rules. For instance, there’s that scene where three members of the Night Watch are tearing down the road in some high-strung sedan, and suddenly—out of nowhere—some guy just stands in the middle of the street and flips their car 360 degrees. (And then, naturally, I find out later on an IMDb forum that he’s actually a pivotal character for the upcoming 'Day Watch'.)
Visually? It’s impressive. But narratively? It’s a mess. People criticized 'Constantine' for being too packed into two hours, but honestly, Night Watch is a much bigger disaster than 'Constantine'.

Maybe it feels cluttered right now, but I have a feeling everything will start making sense once the sequels roll around.
My apologies, I completely missed that this thread already existed. Honestly, though, it’s a great topic to kick off. The movie is hitting theaters here in the States pretty soon, after all.

Night Watch is the first installment in this massive trilogy. Back in 2004, the forty-four-year-old director, writer, and producer Timur Bekmambetov absolutely crushed it at the American box office, shattering records to become the most watched film ever.
Looking ahead, Day Watch—better known as Night Watch 2—is slated for 2006 and is currently deep in post-production, while Night Watch 3 is already in pre-production for a 2007 release.
Word on the street is that this Sci-Fi Horror flick might actually eclipse the legendary "The Matrix".🙂
Has anyone here had the chance to see it yet? Right now, it’s playing in theaters over in Mexico, but it should be hitting our local stores on DVD next month.

Honestly, what is with all this yoga nonsense and other gimmicks imported from overseas? If people just spent more time actually hiking through the Rockies or getting out into the great outdoors, they wouldn't feel the need to throw massive amounts of money at these ridiculous trends. 👎
