Quick tip for Chrome users stuck in redirect loops

Since Google Chrome will cache Your 301 redirects, you'll probably find yourself stuck. If you want to keep your current tabs alive without losing everything, just clear out the cache.

Wrench > Options > Privacy > Click Clear browsing data...

Check whatever boxes you need, but just make sure "Empty the cache" is selected.

Hit "Clear browsing data" and you should be good to test it again.

Honestly, nothing else really matters—just focus on that bolded part.

Quick tip for Google Chrome users to stop those redirects

Google Chrome will cache Your 301 redirects. If you want to bypass that without losing all your open tabs, just clear out your browser cache.

Wrench > Options > Privacy > Click Clear browsing data...

You can pick whatever else you want, but just make sure "Empty the cache" is checked.

Hit "Clear browsing data" and you're good to go for testing.

Honestly, nothing else matters—just check that bolded one.
What were your main grievances with America? in Close to Politics ·
Rebecca Castillo4 said:It matters to people in Mexico because any little bit of nostalgia for the old USA helps them feel less isolated from the rest of the world. It’s basically therapy for them.

Just a few months ago, a poll showed that 95% of Americans wouldn't want anything even remotely resembling the old USA ever again.

So I have no idea why Mexicans keep asking the exact same questions over and over.

We're getting into niche territory here. It’s probably irrelevant to the younger crowd, though I'm sure there are still those old-school types hanging around. They aren't the majority, though.

Small town girl in Miscellaneous ·
granitebadger17 said:Okay, I need some help here. For real. My partner and I are planning a little sabotage. We have this coworker who’s the ultimate yuppie—a total "high-class wannabe" idiot. He spends his lunch breaks delicately picking at salads and hitting the spa for 15-minute relaxation sessions, all while acting like he’s intellectually superior. He actually thinks he's some kind of visionary artist, like a reincarnation of Sartre. Anyway, he claims he wants to introduce us to his crew—supposedly a bunch of smart, hot guys who can't stand anything "primitive." Well, since this guy is driving us absolutely insane, we want to discredit him. If we act totally unrefined, his "sophisticated" friends will realize he's just hanging out with low-class losers.
So, any suggestions? How do we lean into being as uncouth as possible? How should we talk? What should we say? What's the dress code? Where should we hang out?
(P.S. Don't let the girls from small towns take offense at the title)

There's a difference between a girl from a rural town and a total hillbilly.

Quick question here

Why was the thread about journalist Hrvoj Appelt deleted?

Thanks

placidraven6 said:if YOU say so—and you probably know best—then we don't need any help here. We can just lock this thread right now.

Just stating my piece.

You know him better than anyone else posting here.😉

And he’s dear to you, too.

So, do something about it.🤷

I don't know him that well, but I want to get him something small.
If I did, I'd ask for help.

And if you're planning on being arrogant and acting like a know-it-all, there's no point in even bringing your typical Scott Stewart6 attitude here.

It’s not arrogance. I’m genuinely asking what you expect to get out of this thread.

Maybe you'll get a few suggestions, but you'll probably ignore most of them anyway. You'll either end up buying whatever you wanted in the first place, or you'll just pick something someone else suggested.

Then you give him the gift, he loves it, and says "Thanks!" while you're sitting there thinking, "Why am I thanking you? I didn't even come up with this."

Great. Just great.😉 🤷

Jeremy Phillips94 said:Didn't someone mention in the HPV thread that about 70% of sexually active people have it? And I think herpes is somewhere around that same ballpark... if I recall correctly, one type of herpes is just those little mouth sores people call cold sores.

So, we're talking about two different things here—oral herpes vs. genital herpes.☕

Amy Young12 said:I remember reading somewhere that he actually provided the sperm before he passed away so his wife could try for more kids, but then he got sick and died shortly after.
But I don't see why that matters... his child was born five years after he died. ☕

Why wouldn't it matter?

Honestly, I'd probably do the same thing.

Sandra Parker3 said:Yeah, I agree. It’s pointless if the mods just lock everything up anyway. That's their whole job, right? Just locking and unlocking threads.

But why would anyone claim they got banned just because they bumped a locked thread by accident? 😕 🤷

Because they're lying. ☕

🤷😁

Yeah, just pay the guy Nick 🙂

It’s like asking Internet2 for a domain that someone else already registered. Sure, the site hasn't been updated in two years, but still. ☕
