I watched this ages ago—I know I liked it, but I also ended up reacting just like most people on this forum... they definitely went a bit overboard with the mockery of the Midwest...
it’s got some solid jokes though, so it’s easy to laugh at if you’re a total prep

👍 😬 I’ve always preferred the books over the movies... there's just something about using your own imagination to visualize everything you're reading—though, I'll admit, I do get curious to see if my mental imagery actually matches what the director had in mind...
I often end up disappointed by adaptations because, let's be honest, I usually come up with a much better version in my head
I'm with you on Lord of the Rings, even if they really are two different beasts entirely.
And I have to agree with briskranger2, especially since he brought up King—his movies are honestly better than his books, which can get pretty slow and dragged out sometimes

I can easily pull a 20-hour sleep marathon if I’m exhausted enough...
I'm such a night owl—I can stay up as late as I want, but it means mornings are a total struggle regardless of when I actually hit the hay. Usually, I find myself thinking about napping the second I get home from work, but then I end up wide awake by the afternoon and can't drift off... it’s just a constant loop where I never actually feel rested.
Anyway, I don't have an answer for the original question, but I honestly admire people who can take those quick fifteen-minute power naps and wake up feeling refreshed. If I close my eyes, I'm out for hours and wake up feeling like a complete zombie...
