I don't know, I just don't know. It’s a beautiful movie, even if it is pretty "heavy." It just forces you to sit there and think... I guess I'm not sure how everyone else who saw it felt, but for me, it was genuinely gut-wrenching. I'm not sure how a 12-year-old would process all of this either... maybe the subject matter is a bit too intense, but hey, we aren't all the same. If a kid happens to be unusually mature for their age, then why not...?
Forrest Gump, Amelia Earhart, Jailhouse Rock, A Hard Day's Night, Green card, Trainspotting, and honestly, pretty much every single Charlie Chaplin movie.
It’s honestly pathetic. If they actually stitched all those creepy scenes together, you'd barely scrape twenty minutes of footage. What a joke.
I remember waiting all week for this movie to come out... and honestly, I left feeling a little let down. It’s not a bad film overall—I love The Doors and their whole vibe is incredible—but there's just something about it, I don't know, it feels off. I did dig how the director packed in so many songs and concert vibes; it was pure psychedelia.
Val Kilmer was great as Jim Morrison—he isn't usually my go-to actor, but he really nailed Jim's essence here. On the other hand, I feel like Meg Ryan didn't quite get what her role was supposed to be; she seemed a bit lost with that hair and those Lennon-style glasses. I mean, okay, I get that was the look back then, but it just didn't work for her.
