I don't know what to do next... in Psychology & Therapy ·
Your story honestly left me speechless

The idea that some old man can just decide you aren't allowed to work as a waitress—it’s just primitive nonsense

I really feel for you

I’m hoping some better doors open up for you down the road

I'm sure this is incredibly tough right now

And then there's that guilt hanging over everything, too—just an extra weight to carry when you're already struggling. It's enough to drive anyone crazy

Chloe Hughes6 said:I agree. Psychotherapy is key, but it shouldn't rely solely on psychiatric medication; instead, we need a proper combination of correct pharmacology and psychotherapy. What I emphasized in all caps—true, accurate pharmacology—is unfortunately quite a rarity in today's medical landscape.

I know plenty of people who have turned things around without ever touching a pill

but that’s a whole different conversation

if you need the medication, then you need it.

Are you actually some kind of expert here, or are you just talking out of your ass?

If you actually put in the hard work through psychotherapy—even if it's exhausting and feels like an uphill battle—it's possible to change. People CAN change.

If you actually have the guts to say what's really on your mind, go ahead...

YEAH, THAT’S GREAT FOR YOU!!!!

Look, it isn't actually that scary, it’s just uncomfortable. You've had a swallowing reflex since you were a baby—it's basically muscle memory at this point.

The whole trick is just to relax. Maybe take something to calm your nerves about four hours beforehand—just with a tiny sip of water.

Honestly, I’m at a point where I can’t tell if my brain is just moving in slow motion because of the Apurin and everything else I'm taking—or if it's just the anxiety finally catching up to me.

fadedbear92 said:Just a silly question here—has anyone actually put on weight while taking empty? I'm just looking for a simple explanation for why my life jacket is getting a bit too tight!🙂🤦😱

Not really. I took them quite a bit when I was tapering off Xanax and Tylenol, and I didn't notice any weight gain myself.

Honestly, I tried twice myself and my gag reflex just took over and spat the pill right back out! It wouldn't even get past my tongue. And then, while I was sitting there in total discomfort, some "brilliant" medical professional had the nerve to ask me, "Well, how do you manage to eat, then?" Seriously?🙂🙂🙂🙄

The whole procedure is just plain uncomfortable. I've had to go in four times now—the last time, I finally just opted for general anesthesia because I honestly couldn't take the sensation anymore.
