It’s been about two years since my mom had her surgery, and her CEA levels are hovering right around the limit—not over it, but definitely not low enough to feel totally relaxed about. I honestly don't know if it's cause for alarm yet.
She stays on top of her checkups and does regular CT scans (I think they're MSCT), which have looked good so far. Has your dad had a CT scan yet? If they haven't sent him for one, I bet they will once they see those marker results, and then you'll actually have some real answers.
He was just there for blood work, so they'll check the markers, plus he needs an ultrasound and a chest X-ray before heading to the oncologist with everything. I'm really hoping it's nothing; at least, that's what I'm trying to tell myself. 🙂
Thanks for getting back to me 😉

@Angela Wright Thanks for getting back to me 🙂
Just crossing my fingers that it's nothing serious 🙂
Hey,
since everyone here seems to actually know what they're talking about, I wanted to pick your brains on something... my dad had surgery for colon cancer almost two years ago, but his latest tumor marker results came back slightly elevated—specifically, his CEA is sitting somewhere north of 5. Is that something we should be losing sleep over, or am I just being dramatic?
Thanks for the help!
Can someone please make sense of these numbers for me?
WBC flags
%MON: 2,8 (4,0-10,0)
#MON: 0,2 (0,3-0,8)
If anyone actually knows what they're looking at... thanks.
Mind if I jump in here? For about four or five years now, I’ve been dealing with these little low-grade fevers every few months—just hovering around 99 degrees—and honestly, it’s been a whole thing. I’ve done the full routine: blood work, scans, every specialist you can think of, even seeing an infectious disease expert, and everyone just shrugs. My brilliant doctor basically looked me in the eye and suggested I should probably just stop checking my temperature altogether. 🙄
I don't know...
I just finished rewatching this movie, and honestly, I’m still kind of reeling from it even though I’ve seen it before. It was absolutely incredible—and don't even get me started on the soundtrack, because it's just unreal... 😍
Whenever I think about Patrick Swayze, I just feel like 🙂
What do you guys think?
So, here's my take... I actually went in for one of those scans because of some killer headaches. I can't speak for everyone else, but in my experience, seeing those theta waves just means something's up—like, there's an actual reason for the headache, maybe a migraine or something similar. My neurologist basically told me not to sweat it, though.
