How to get a toned body? in Health ·

What, can't handle the truth?
Believe what you want. You either feel it or you don't. No need for a visual aid.

Systema said:What nonsense. All this talk about race, this obsession with certain groups being superior—it’s ridiculous. Lately, it feels like there's a cult forming around glorifying one specific demographic, but they aren't inherently better than anyone else. If someone works out, they'll look good regardless of their skin color. It’s up to you: either hit the gym or just sit on the couch staring at the TV admiring everyone else.

And enough with the... rhetoric regarding race.

I'm just speaking from experience. Of course, people aren't monoliths, but what I've observed in Black athletes—that specific skin elasticity—is something I simply haven't seen in white athletes.

Susan James42 said:Just one warning: you can do an incredible amount of work on muscle density and definition, but you're never going to look like a Black woman who just runs for the bus once a month... Black people simply have different muscle structures; they always look tighter and more compact than white people...

Exactly. And don't even get me started on skin elasticity. My boyfriend is Black, and his physique is honestly indescribable—plus his skin is so elastic it's unbelievable. Even though he’s put on a little bit of a gut because of my cooking, his skin is so tight you can't even grab hold of it; there's no sagging.
That actress you mentioned in the movie is just naturally built that way. Getting curves, especially breasts, is difficult. You shouldn't expect to go from doing two reps to four and suddenly see a transformed backside; that takes real struggle.
I've been working out for a year, but I only started training intensely three months ago—every other day, sometimes even two days in a row for two and a half hours—and you can actually see results. I'm most impressed with my midsection; it's so firm that my abs are starting to show. I have to mention that I spend at least thirty minutes on core exercises, mostly various ab workouts, plus about forty minutes of running or cycling to burn fat.
Anything is possible if you don't quit. I used to make excuses to avoid the gym; now, I can't live without it. I was always slim, but my body lacked tone. What I've achieved so far is truly impressive.
Skipping the screw? in Health ·
I've heard it’s actually quite effective for targeting abdominal fat—apparently, it's a solid option for anyone looking to shed that belly bloat quickly.
Hannah Harris87 said:Apparently, spine specialists in Oakwood charge about $5,000 just to skip the line so you don't have to wait months. At least, that's what my neighbor mentioned after vacationing on the coast.

I didn't pay anything upfront, but once you tally up all the "thank you" bags you end up giving to the nurses and doctors—my little one was in there quite a bit since she was premature—you'd probably hit that total pretty fast.

Forget waiting. If you aren't handing over cash, you aren't getting seen. That’s my experience.
Maybe if I were still living in America I would have played along, but not here...
Missed my pill—what should I do? in Health ·

Go see a doctor...

Sure, one day. But not today.

Betty Rivera14 said:So you actually forgot, even just two days after being with him? You sure about that?

Zero chance.

Look, I had sex Sunday night. I didn't take anything that night, nor the next.
I have no idea how I missed it—forgetting one dose is one thing, but twice in a row? It happened.
Should I grab a test this morning or just head straight to my OBGYN?
Missed my pill—what should I do? in Health ·
What are the odds of pregnancy if I missed my pill for two days after having sex? I have no idea how this happened—I’m usually incredibly disciplined about my schedule—but here we are.
If anyone has dealt with this before, I'd really appreciate some insight.
Back when I was still living in America about ten years ago, I needed surgery for scoliosis at Oakland. The waiting list was endless, and they told me I’d be seen in just a few months. Well, that never happened. I called them a hundred times, but they never once reached out. Ten years have passed since then.
Basically, they were probably just looking for a payout, but by then, I had already moved to Germany five years ago. Now, I’m having second thoughts. A bit of fear has set in, even though I could get this operated on here without any massive wait times.
Is laminate flooring bad for your health? in Health ·
Megan White4 said:What makes laminate flooring a health hazard? 😕

That isn't wood flooring; it's just plastic.
I doubt there's any actual health risk involved. It’s just a nightmare to maintain and scratches if you even look at it wrong.

It is exactly as I described. I am still struggling to eliminate Sugar entirely. Perhaps I'll have 20 grams a week, or nothing at all.

What we eat—and how we prepare it—is everything. Essentially, you should consume anything nutritious, though "healthy" is a pretty broad term. The reality is you need to cut out the sugar, white flour, and all that processed junk found in grocery stores.
I stick to cooking everything fresh. I don't mess with additives, nor do I touch pre-packaged meals, frozen stuff, or canned goods.
I steer clear of heavy fats like hard cheeses, and there isn't an air fryer in my house. I avoid frying altogether, as well as those dishes that are boiled first and then baked under a layer of shredded cheese.

Eat everything, just in moderation. It's better to eat smaller portions more frequently. When I get hungry, I grab fruit. I don't make sandwiches, I don't buy snacks, and I don't make puddings or chocolate treats. If others want to live that way, fine, but in my opinion, those habits aren't healthy at all.
