So, I just finished watching the second one. Thank God, my blood pressure actually stayed a bit lower after that compared to the first. I guess that damn Sarah isn't a total piece of work after all. It was nice to finally see her act somewhat normally, and honestly, I’m glad she ended up being decent food for them. 🤣
The sequel is way better, though there's blood everywhere. I'd give the story and the effects an 8/10. It lacks solid acting, which seems to be a common issue with movies made after the year 2000, but eh, I'll give Sarah a passing grade, and Juno too. As for the rest of the cast... well, let's just leave it at that. 🙂
And yeah, those beasts and their "miraculous" evolution and how they feed 1.2 miles underground just doesn't make any sense at all, but whatever. It's easy enough to just switch off your brain and enjoy the good old bloodshed. *thumbs up*

I watched it too. Honestly, the ending was total garbage. It turned into this revenge killing plot that had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the story. After everything those characters went through surviving in that cave—all those monsters, the trauma, losing their friends—there's no way they'd be distracted by some petty, earthly drama like a love triangle... I guess the main protagonist (who, if you ask me, was just a pure antagonistica, a dirty, selfish, and heartless b...h) didn't experience enough actual trauma to realize what truly matters in life. And Juno wasn't a b...h at all. She had her flaws, sure, just like everyone else, but while she was down there with the crew, everything she did was done with their best interests in mind.
Because of how it ended, the whole movie feels ruined to me, so I can't give it more than a 5/10. It feels like the director was probably blindsided by a lover or something, so he decided to settle the score with his "enemy" on screen. To him, apparently, the fact that Juno had an affair with > husband was a much bigger crime than the fact that she totally screwed the entire crew right at the start by luring them into an unexplored cave just to make a name for herself. It felt like a Mexican soap opera where two foolish w...es are just fighting over a man. I can't believe a respected horror filmmaker would allow that level of writing.
Pathetic. 👎
