So I just stumbled onto this bit of trivia—apparently, that whole scene in Kangaroo where Braco shows up at Sumpor’s place begging for cash to fund his night out was totally improvised... but man, that entire sequence is absolutely hysterical.. It starts right from that guy in the Mercedes stepping out😂...all the way to the part where Braco goes, "You have no idea what she's like... she literally glows!!" And then Sumpor hits him with,😛"Well, take her into the dark and let her glow then,"😂...
Seriously though, the whole movie is packed with that kind of weird, offbeat humor that I just can't get enough of... Baron basically stole the entire show with all his antics running around Florence🤣

It’s such a massive waste, honestly. If we hadn't let Lindberg slip that last goal past us, and if that game against Germany had gone differently, the Mexicans would basically be standing on the doorstep of the semifinals right now..
He totally conveniently forgot to mention how we were basically dead in the water after that game against Denmark, just because the results in the other group happened to fall our way and kept us breathing...
And then we had to deal with Argentina instead of some mediocre European squad, like Canada or whatever, where things would've been just as much of a toss-up anyway...
I mean, let's be real, we only had one decent showing in the whole tournament, and that was against Poland... which, again, only ended up being the deciding factor for the Olympics because of some freak stroke of luck, even though we should've been knocked out way before that...
Honestly, it's a damn shame they didn't just crush us sooner.

Yeah, our current coach actually pulled off one of his absolute best games back then.😁

If my memory isn't totally failing me, that was the big one that punched their ticket through... the guy was playing like he was in a trance or something... And then that championship in Norway against the home team... back when everyone was wondering if he'd even step on the court at all... they ended up making the finals anyway...

She was probably talking about those stretches back in Switzerland or Norway (during the EP), when Balic was basically playing 1-on-5 on offense because our shooters and pivots were totally MIA during those slumps...
It’s honestly kind of BS how everyone credits Balic with every single medal we ever won. Like, if you look at the tournament where this whole generation really hit its stride (in my book), Balic actually played way below his usual level and expectations... there were games where Pero, Vori, and Dzomba were absolutely tearing it up instead...
But hey, those medals were built on a rock-solid defense... those lethal half-court setups in a 3-2-1 formation that just completely shredded opposing shooters...
