Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Why on earth are you depressed over having hemorrhoids?
I just pop some Daflon whenever those issues flare up.
Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
Honestly, working out is a joke. I’ve been a weekend warrior forever. Running, lifting, even hitting an hour-long walk every single day through the winter—nothing works. Nothing. And when I actually grind through a strength session? I wake up the next morning after like five hours of sleep feeling absolutely wrecked. So yeah, I scaled back the heavy lifting.
I figured it was just stress. But it’s weird because I usually crash fine, then just suddenly wake up way too early.

Sup. Starting a thread here.
Anyone else deal with waking up way too early on workdays? Every single morning I’m wide awake 30 to 90 minutes before my alarm even goes off. It used to just happen once in a while, but for the last year, I've been chronically sleep-deprived. Seriously, I can't even remember the last time I actually slept until my alarm hit.

Seriously, if you stumble upon any lactase enzyme pills anywhere, please 🙂

Bryan Chavez37 said:Can these pills actually be harmful if I take them long-term, or is there a limit to how much I should be using?

Nah. The bottle tells you exactly how to take them—a couple of pills right after you have any milk or dairy.
I grabbed some pills from Germany once—took up to five a day—but I'm out now and honestly? They didn't even do much. Now I'm totally screwed. It's summer, everyone's walking around in crop tops, and I'm just sitting here stuck with this constant bloating.😢

ironlynx41 said:You really ought to check with your doctors to see if lactase enzyme tablets are available here in the States. I have this friend who lives in Switzerland, and she deals with lactose intolerance. It’s actually pretty easy for her over there because they have access to "standard" dairy products that have been specifically processed to strip out the lactose. I’ve tried some of those products myself—they tend to taste a little sweeter than the regular stuff.
Whenever my friend goes out to eat, she always makes sure to bring her lactase tablets along—I think she takes them right before the meal—just so she doesn't end up feeling miserable if there's dairy in her food.
When she was visiting me, we actually scoured the entire city of Chicago looking for lactose-free dairy options, mostly because she found the soy milk from Whole Foods to be a bit bland. But we couldn't find anything at all! 😠 It honestly broke my heart seeing her having to struggle through the whole trip relying on those tablets!!!

Sadly, you still run into doctors in America who haven't even heard of people being unable to handle milk. 👎
I'm currently hunting for those tablets myself; they used to carry them at Twinlab, but they're out of stock now. 😠

I haven't been able to touch lactose for like 7 or 8 years now. I don't get gas, but if I drink milk or eat anything with dairy in it, my stomach immediately blows up like a freaking balloon. It’s the absolute worst in the summer because I can't even wear a fitted shirt without looking ridiculous.
And I'm being dead serious here. I've basically lost all hope. I used to be able to grab those lactase pills at Twinlab, but they're totally out of stock. I've scoured every single pharmacy in Chicago trying to find them, but nothing. No luck finding any lactase enzymes anywhere. 🙂

like, how??

Look, when you're reading or watching TV, just back up. Give your eyes some breathing room so you aren't straining like crazy.
Don't be glued to the screen two feet away—stay at least 13 feet back. And if you're hitting the books, keep 'em about 24 inches from your face 👋 (or maybe 30-35 inches for a computer setup)

Man, probably just some computer glitch.

Same here. Happens to me too.

They pulled Milk Gestant from the shelves, so it's gone. They don't even seem to know what they're gonna replace it with yet.
They've got me heading to my brother's birthday party now, so who knows if I can actually resist all the junk food.😁

Anyone happen to know about any new products hitting the market?

So, how exactly am I supposed to exercise my way out of this vision mess?
I got diagnosed with myopia a few months back, so now I'm stuck wearing glasses on and off.

Thanks a ton. Hit up the Twinlab drugstore in Indianapolis yesterday to order the stuff. They didn't have it in stock there, so they're shipping it from Miami. Should be here tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for the posts, really hoping this stuff works.🙂 👋

Maybe even John Ruiz4 wouldn't feel a thing from that tiny splash of milk in his coffee, but who knows? Depends on how sensitive he actually is. A lot of people with lactose issues can still handle stuff like yogurt (my mom, for example).

True, I eat yogurt all the time and it doesn't mess with me at all. But only Vindijin brands don't have that milk sugar in them—some other yogurts definitely do.🙂

You guys finding this in New York City? Because out here in Indianapolis and Memphis, nobody's even heard of this crap existing.

Thanks!🙂 👍

Because it’s freaking everywhere. Like, powdered milk has way more of it than regular milk. 😢>

Look, like the title says, I can't handle lactose. Milk sugar is my enemy. Every time I eat anything with it, I end up bloated as hell and sometimes even nauseous.
So here's the deal: I heard you can buy lactase enzymes or those little drops that break down the lactose for you. I've been checking everywhere from New York City to Indianapolis, but I haven't found a thing (even the local pharmacy clerks act like they've never heard of them).
Does anyone actually know where I can pick some of this stuff up here in the States?
😢
