Ingredients: water, carbon dioxide,
color: caramel E150d
acid: 😳phosphoric acid
sweeteners: cyclamate, acesulfame-k, aspartame
flavoring: caffeine
acidity regulator: sodium citrate
preservative: sodium benzoate

None of that stuff counts as carbohydrates—so you can't really group it under carbs. Maybe try actually reading the label.

I'm not comparing milk to Diet Coke—cola is way more complex than milk—but do you honestly think everything they pour in there is listed on the packaging?... just Google "milk additives" and see what comes up. Besides, how do you explain 0.9% milk fat... how does that even happen?
northerncobra27 said:Yeah, sure—it's listed on Coca-Cola, so if you're into that... but it isn't on milk, and based on the tone of your post, I'm guessing you don't think that's exactly safe either?

Look, I'm telling you, it's fine.

It isn't declared on Coca-Cola, and it isn't on milk either.

On the Coke, it just says: 0g carbs and nothing else.
On the milk, it says: 0.9% fat and nothing else.
Let me guess—you're a vegetarian?😁
Honestly, I have no clue exactly which additives they're using—but they're definitely packing them into those low-fat products (the ones labeled 0.9% fat, for instance). It’s the same game they play with Coca-Cola—you look at a Coke with zero sugar and think you're safe, but it's actually loaded with artificial sweeteners. They aren't technically sugar, sure, but I guess consuming them in large quantities is probably even worse for you than just having actual sugar.

Basically, if you're looking to lose weight, you should stick to three main meals and two snacks a day. It keeps the metabolism steady—or so they say—and helps you dodge those starvation gaps. When you go too long without eating, your body just gets smart and starts hoarding everything for later (fat, glycogen, whatever) because it thinks the next meal might be a long way off.

That said, with five small meals, the real kicker is what you're actually eating and how much goes into it.

(Vegetables, vegetables, more vegetables at every single meal)

Sure, I agree with you, though I'd probably add that what you eat and when you eat it matters just as much... if you want to lose weight the healthy way, you really need to get moving—running, power walking, whatever—to create a calorie deficit. You know, burning more than you take in.
wiredtiger10 said:Look, don't overcomplicate a simple thing—it's common knowledge that Japanese people drink a couple of glasses of water right when they wake up.

Since when was that a known fact?😕 Do Chinese people do that too?

wiredtiger10 said:Go ahead, give me your brilliant suggestion for what a person should eat or drink in the morning. I'm sure your answer would be COFFEE, A DONUT, A CIGARETTE.

I definitely wouldn't recommend that, but I'm pretty sure that's how you breakfasted, which is probably why you need to lose weight... if I wanted to slim down, I'd grab a mountain of oatmeal or some whole grain toast with milk. Why? You're a smart guy, figure it out. Or maybe you don't agree with me?

wiredtiger10 said:Just think about it for a second—your body hasn't had water for eight hours, so use some logic. Wouldn't it make sense to give your body water after eight hours without that essential fluid? Nobody's talking about dropping 30 pounds here; it's more about starting the day right, which naturally ends up affecting your weight.

After eight hours of sleep, your body needs nutrients because it's been without them for eight hours... if you skip that, you're just messing with your metabolism, and you'll almost certainly end up eating more at lunch and dinner, which leads to gaining fat.

wiredtiger10 said:I had two glasses today and honestly, I wasn't as hungry, so I ate less for breakfast and lunch. Maybe it's because I started the day with one simple, logical step: drinking water.

🙏🙏😂 Sure, keep going with that logic...
Lisa Martin50 said:A friend of mine was actually told to stop drinking dairy altogether because of endometriosis. They suggested soy instead—claiming standard cow's milk is basically loaded with estrogen just to boost production.
I know some people working in the dairy industry who won't touch "light" products because they're packed with chemicals—though I guess the truly healthy stuff is supposed to come from those small local farms.

But our milk is fine; American milk is so stuffed with additives that the USA has actually banned its import.🙄

It seems a bit absurd to me—soy is famously high in estrogen, isn't it?😕
As for the idea that milk from small family farms is the healthiest option—I'm inclined to agree. Though, from what I gather, the massive corporations (like Walmart or Nestlé...) end up buying up most of that supply anyway. Or maybe not?😕
wiredtiger10 said:What an idiot—I mean, can you think of anything more natural or logical than drinking water after sleeping for eight hours? I haven't run into someone this clueless in a long time. Just go to bed.

Use some common sense here. Is it actually logical to assume you'll lose weight just by drinking a glass of water when you wake up? You’d have to be pretty delusional to believe that...
The standard advice is that you need about two liters of water a day just to keep your body functioning, but thinking that three ounces of water in the morning is going to melt away 60 pounds of fat is—well, it's desperate thinking, at best.
It's pretty obvious that the people praising this "weight loss method" don't understand how the human body works, let alone basic biology regarding fat loss.

So, you're saying skipping breakfast is the key to losing weight?
I’ve always been pretty skeptical about dairy—it seems like more and more scientists and nutritionists are speaking out against it lately—but I still find myself drinking at least a couple of glasses a day... and as for those additives, they’re definitely in there, especially in the low-fat stuff. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I usually grab.😁
you know what? keep drinking water first thing in the morning for a few more years and maybe you'll gain 10 pounds😲
and I guess if you drink something else or brush your teeth beforehand, it doesn't work? so as long as my metabolism is still relatively functional, I should just chug 2 or 3 glasses of water immediately?

it’s all just nonsense... you can only lose weight healthily through actual diet and exercise—not through some gimmick teas, drinking water the second you wake up, or cosmic shiva supplements!

Yeah, well, that’s become an issue for me too—I guess I just hate deleting stuff off my drive...
