Dealing with nummular eczema/dermatitis? in Health ·
My leg rash flared up last spring... I've dealt with asthma and allergic dermatitis since birth, but nothing quite like this. It was always just redness, never these pustules. I looked at some photos online and they look identical to mine, except mine is strictly on my legs. When it first hit last year around April or May, it eased up a tiny bit over the summer, though I didn't go to the beach or anything. I just stuck to my usual allergy creams, using Afloderm ointment and Afloderm in base cream... which helped a little, but it never fully cleared up.

By August, things had calmed down significantly; there were barely any pustules left. Then, around September, it came roaring back. Interestingly, I actually had a miscarriage during that same month last year, but since I've had this skin issue long before that happened, I don't think the emotional shock triggered the flare-up. I honestly have no clue what caused it.

I haven't seen a doctor or a dermatologist yet because I originally assumed it was just tied to my lifelong allergies. But lately, my legs have been a total mess. The left one isn't too bad—just one or two pustules I scratched at that turned into red scabs. The right leg, however, is an absolute disaster; I don't even want to take a photo because it’s so nauseating to look at. I just desperately need this to clear up by summer because last year I couldn't bring myself to wear anything but jeans. I'm at a loss for what to use now, especially since I can't keep relying on corticosteroids. It scares me. At the same time, I'm terrified my doctor will just dismiss me if I show up with this.
Joshua Miller27 said:It’s honestly pretty straightforward—you just track everything with ovulation test strips (which will either bankrupt you if you buy them at a local CVS or come out way cheaper if you hunt them down online) and start measuring your basal body temperature

I’ve heard of those, but I have no idea where to even find them... thanks a million. I'll figure it out and try not to drain my savings... if I'm lucky, maybe I'll just wait five days to see if Gabriel is on the way and skip the tests entirely!! 🙂 Anyway, I'll stop clogging the feed with useless replies. Thanks again! 🙂 ~~~~~~~

if you’re absolutely certain about when your ovulation actually happened.

Well, that’s where I run into trouble. I have no idea how anyone actually tracks their ovulation—seriously, what kind of logic is that? How do people even figure it out, especially when they deal with irregular cycles like mine? It feels impossible. :/😁

Anyway, I'll be over here crossing my fingers and waiting for my own little plus sign. :P ~~~~~~~
I’m not entirely sure if this is the right thread, so bear with me if I’m off base... anyway, my cycle has been all over the place lately. It usually runs about 33 to 36 days, but for the last two months, it’s dropped to 24. My last period started on the evening of July 6th, and my partner and I had sex on the 9th—we don't use protection. Since that first time, we've basically been at it every single night for the last 15 days straight (and yeah, let's just say things have been pretty busy 😁). Logic tells me I was definitely ovulating during all that action, so I’m wondering how early I can take a pregnancy test? Which one actually works before my period is due? Based on my new schedule, I'm expecting it in about 6 days, though given our marathon sessions, I’m crossing my fingers that isn't the case! Or is it better to just go get a blood test? If so, how many days before my expected period could I do that? Also, my OB-GYN is currently away on vacation, so does anyone know a decent clinic in the area that won't absolutely rob me blind?

P.S. I want a baby more than anything in the world 🙂
