jadecrane3 said:maybe try reading what you actually wrote one more time: "my sister had lip reversal surgery with John Smith and she looks absolutely horrific, her life is ruined forever" — and I’m really highlighting the HORRIFIC LOOKS and RUINED LIFE part... if that's the case, I guess I can see why you'd say it makes sense she wouldn't go back to him for a revision... but now, please, just read everything I’ve said and tell me if I ever used those kinds of words?! Look, I feel for your sister, I really do, but I have no idea why you decided to take a swing at me... my own situation isn't quite that catastrophic... because, again, my nose looks way better than it did before the surgery, so I don't look horrific and my life isn't over... I just wanted anyone else considering going to Kincl to think twice if they actually want value for their money, and that's all... and if I'm just "stupid" for choosing him and somehow disrespecting myself or my body or whatever—well, feel free to pass that sentiment along to your sister... by the way, what even is lip reversal?!?! 🤣

I honestly don't get what's so funny about this. Is it maybe the fact that my sister went through this?🤷😢☕If you're struggling with certain expressions, there's always Google or a dictionary available...🤷And besides, I wasn't targeting you specifically; I was trying to appeal to anyone out there to consider whether it's actually smart to go back to someone who didn't get it right the first time in the first place. Maybe you felt attacked because I wrote that with a lot of negative energy toward him, but it wasn't directed at you or anyone else. Believe me, it genuinely makes me sick to my stomach to see someone go through something similar, even if it's just close enough to leave them feeling miserable...😢👎

Look, it’s really not that dramatic... my nose looks better than it did before anyway, so he didn't exactly ruin me, don't worry about it, haha... I just honestly expected there wouldn't be any stupid little bumps or imperfections left over after the revision... And if you're wondering why I went back to him for the fix, it was because he was actually the one who suggested it, since he wasn't even pretending he couldn't see the issues—which, let's be real, he could have easily done—and at the time, it felt like the fair thing to do... I figured, hey, maybe this will finally smooth everything out... but things started feeling sketchy once my friend mentioned she'd need a revision too... and please don't get mad, but this isn't some deep thing about self-esteem... 😂

Look, if you don't see the issue here, then I'm just not going to get involved... everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I guess...😛And that surgeon actually went and offered my sister a corrective procedure, though of course she didn't take him up on it... which is only logical, really...☕
jadecrane3 said:I mean, why on earth would you pay someone else to deal with the mess left behind...

Honestly, I’d rather hand my life over to a completely different surgeon just to fix the disaster that one doctor caused, rather than trust that monster with my body ever again... how much self-respect do you actually have, and are you really prepared to face the consequences if he leaves you permanently disfigured?! I'm speaking from experience here, and I'm being blunt because I refuse to let anyone else endure what my sister, 😠, went through... she underwent a lip reconstruction by John Smith and the results were absolutely horrifying, leaving her life changed forever, so we did everything we could to get her fixed up in Austria, but the last thing we ever considered was going back to him.😠
jadecrane3 said:hey,
I just really need to vent about my experience with Kincl and maybe warn someone else... basically, I went to him for nose surgery almost two years ago. Once the swelling finally died down, I realized the tip of my nose wasn't right at all... specifically, I have these little lumps on both sides. They feel like huge, hard under-the-skin pimples—he told me it was just cartilage—almost like two little horns, and one side was much more obvious than the other, so you could really see them protruding in photos... so, Kincl scheduled me for a revision under local anesthesia. I had that done back in April this year... at first, I thought the issue was fixed, but unfortunately, that was just the inflammation... now that everything has settled, those lumps are still there 😢 and the worst part is there’s actually another irregularity on my nose, but these lumps overshadow it so much that I don't even notice it anymore...
Honestly, I thought maybe I was just unlucky and things turned out bad for me... but then a month ago, a friend of mine (who also had surgery with him earlier this year in January) tells me she's been scheduled for a revision because she has a lump too... so, tell me, is it normal that everyone seems to need a redo after surgery, especially when the "fix" clearly doesn't work either???? 🤷 I am truly disappointed and I really regret not seeing someone else....

I mean, why would anyone go back to him for a revision? I don't get people like that. Are they crazy or what? If someone fails to do the job right the first time, why on earth would you hand your body over to them again? wtf?????🙄😢😠
stormyharbor2 said:Honestly, this whole thread is just straight-up depressing. 😳

It’s tragic...😢I can't stand injustice, so please, educate yourselves and fight for what you're owed; I've laid everything out for you already, and I always tell people that at the end of the day, it's about your face and your identity, and if the nose isn't truly massive, it simply isn't worth the risk...😢
Amy Williams34 said:I’m with you on that, but honestly, no matter how much "the experts" judge "the uninformed," they’re all colleagues at the end of the day and won't turn on each other...
If a surgeon absolutely butchers a primary procedure, you can't exactly go back to that same plastic surgeon to fix their mess...
The reality is that everyone slips up sometimes—doctors, internists, OBGYNs, they all have mistakes or oversights—but the difference is some people just make it a habit...
And the hard truth is that nobody can truly stop the teams who constantly mess up and leave people disfigured, because they've spread through the media like a plague and will always find an uninformed, gullible clientele. I was one of those people once, and now I'm paying the price...🤷
Now I'm just searching for someone who can help me look somewhat like my old self again...
So I don't have to feel ashamed whenever a camera is pointed my way, though I used to love being in front of them...
The easiest patients to handle are the ones with massive, obviously botched noses. Everyone else, those wanting just a "little bit better," are the most difficult, and that's when it's easiest to screw things up...and that's where I fall...

Doll, I am so incredibly sorry for everything you're going through😢,but damn it, don't give up...reach out, complain, fight back...someone close to me actually sued and walked away with a massive settlement. I can see you're hurting mentally, and if you've been seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist because of this, there's your compensation...just don't surrender, and whatever you do, don't pay for the corrective surgery out of your own pocket, honey!!😢
Ran'ia... As if...
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice if anyone here has dealt with something similar... 🙂

So, looking at my nose straight on, it actually looks pretty nice—small, narrow, and the tip is perfectly fine... but once I see my profile, it’s like a completely different story because it looks way too pointy, especially with that little bump right at the bridge that makes the whole thing look awkward from the side... it sounds totally bizarre, but honestly, that's just how it is...
I’ve been sitting here weighing whether surgery is actually worth the headache, because I’ve spent so much time obsessing over that little bump on the bridge of my nose... I just want to smooth that out and maybe get a bit more definition in my profile so it doesn't look so flat, though I absolutely refuse to touch the tip because I'm terrified it'll throw off my entire face... if I can keep the length and the tip exactly as they are, is it really worth the risk, and can you ever truly trust a surgeon to deliver exactly what you're picturing...

Thanks...

Don't sweat the small stuff; it would be such a shame if you ended up looking like Michael Jackson... though honestly, compared to the crowd we have around here, that wouldn't even be a stretch...🙄😢Look, if it’s narrow like you say, at least it looks good from the front... honestly, just enjoy it and stop being so damn self-conscious about it...🙏
Most surgeons end up giving everyone these broken-looking noses; you might not notice it during those first six months, but as time passes, they just get uglier—too narrow at the bridge and way too bulbous at the tip...🙄So, the people who didn't even have a bad nose to begin with, but decide to go under the knife just to obsess over tiny imperfections, usually end up regretting it and weeping over their old photos.😢
rustycrane12 said:Just wanted to say hi and share my experience with nose surgery. When I finally decided to go through with it because of some deviated cartilage, I went through a whole circuit of doctors. I started with consultations with Dr. Kinčl, who gets amazing reviews, but honestly, the prices listed on his site are a joke—they end up being at least double once you factor in the anesthesiologist, the nursing staff, and all the other hidden fees, making the final bill absolutely outrageous. So, I passed on him and moved on to Dr. Tončić, where I was seen by Tončić Jr., who seemed to know just as little about these procedures as I did... he’d suggest one technique, then call his dad over, only for the old man to tell him that method was garbage and suggest something else instead. It felt like they were both totally clueless. Eventually, I went to seeing Ostojić, who seemed great at first; he explained everything perfectly, and I thought, "This is it." I chose him. After the surgery, I went home, had the tampons removed the next day, and a week later when the mold came off, my nose felt worse than ever. Now my nose is crooked; he joined the cartilage, sure, but the right side is wider and bigger than the left, and it looks terrible. To make matters worse, we got into an argument and he actually kicked me out of the office because he was hitting on me... and all this happened for a measly 15 $0.00. Whatever you do, stay away from Ostojić. I haven't been back for a single follow-up since the mold was removed, and when I tried to complain at the clinic on Šubićev, they brushed me off because all the doctors there look out for one another...👎

If any of this is actually true (and I’m talking to everyone here who keeps complaining), why don't you just take it up with the president of the American plastic surgeons association😕🤷, which I believe is Dr. Zambelli? From what I hear through someone close to me, if you file a formal written complaint—providing proof that you saw the surgeon, clearly explaining the unprofessionalism, the lack of courtesy, the botched work, or even sexual harassment—you can actually get a refund and damages. For God's sake, stop just whining about it here and fight for yourselves; nobody is handing out free money...🙄Do a little digging, seriously, it isn't all hopeless... planning more nose surgeries out of your own damn pocket, man, wtf??😲😂😢

Angela Wright said:So, I went ahead and picked the brain of our oncologist, Dr. Miller, over on the CNN message boards, and she gave me some clarity:

My sister told me the exact same thing—that there's a 90% chance of a full recovery once the procedure is done, so I'm just holding onto that hope...😢🤷Thanks, Taylor Swift...🙂

Angela Wright said:Don't spiral just yet. We have to wait for the pathology report to get the real story, because right now, nobody actually knows anything. The doctor wants to pull out whatever looks suspicious, but that isn't an automatic death sentence...
Whatever the outcome ends up being, even if it's the worst-case scenario, you'll deal with it and find a way through.
Just stay strong.

I've got the procedure scheduled for Friday, so I'll update everyone on the results and what happens next, though I was pretty blindsided today when the doctor mentioned he'll likely need to remove a few more moles just to be safe...😢But I'll manage, I guess...🤷Thanks for the support.🙂

Jessica Clark56 said:Sorry Angela Wright, but I’m not entirely sure what you mean regarding skin cancer. From what I understand, there's both basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. My father actually had basal cell, and he's still dealing with it (the biopsy confirmed they didn't clear all the healthy cells around the edges). So, basically, they only cut out part of the cancer. Now he's just waiting for it to "pop up" again so he can go back under the knife... Best,

I think a doctor mentioned something along those lines to me, though honestly, everything was such a blur from the shock... but I guess now I get why they run more tests after the procedure, just to make sure they actually got it all...🤷😢

Angela Wright said:Thanks for the heads up. I did some digging online and it turns out you're absolutely right. 🙏

My reaction mostly stemmed from noticing how people tend to use "carcinoma" as this softer, more polite euphemism for cancer, even though technically it's just one specific subset of malignant diseases...

Ivanka Trump, I won't get into all the messy reasons why private insurance is such a headache right now, but there's plenty to unpack. I'm just wondering if anyone here has a ballpark idea of what the costs might look like so I can actually prepare myself?😢And thanks for all the replies, I'm honestly pretty terrified so any bit of advice really helps.😢

I’ve got to get a few moles removed this Friday since they’re looking a bit suspicious, though my doctor is insisting on a whole battery of follow-up tests afterward... I honestly don't see the point if we're just taking them all out anyway. My sister was actually pushing me today to just head straight to a private clinic for a CT scan, an MRI, physical exams, and biopsies just so I can skip the wait and get answers faster... Does anyone have any idea what a mountain of tests like that would even cost me at a place like Mayo Clinic or a similar specialist center?😢
