Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Drew Ortiz4 said:So, I just moved to Miami recently and I really need some help picking a primary care doctor—who’s actually the best? Also, I heard Dr. Milka Hoti is the top choice for gynecology, so I think I’ll go with her. As for a dentist, I definitely need a woman who takes Medicare since I can't afford private practice right now. I'm looking for someone like Mirela Veselinovic in Cleveland... she was wonderful, gentle, and has such modern equipment that you don't feel a thing, even if you have a massive toothache. That's the kind of dentist I'm after... so please, I need your advice. Thanks. Cheers.

I lived in NYC for seven years and never once found a decent doctor.😁 I was constantly asking locals for recommendations, but I never got a single straight answer.🤷 Primary care: I saw Dr. Mladen Antisin... honestly, don't even bother going there!
...but I did hear about a good doctor (can't remember her name) who has an office on Voštarnica, right below the Walmart... specifically next to the Chase Bank on Voštarnica... maybe try asking around there. I don't know about a gynecologist; I went privately to Dr. Vlatković near Orgulj. He's an excellent doctor! And as for teeth, I ended up traveling all the way back home to get things fixed because I once fell into the wrong hands... I won't let just anyone near my mouth again.😁

Does anyone know a decent ophthalmologist in Miami... I would be super grateful 😉

Karen Hernandez90 said:I wouldn't go so far as to say the work is terrible, but I can definitely confirm they aren't very professional... specifically regarding that six-month wait to actually get the job finished...

A friend of mine was waiting for eight months—🙂absolute madness and zero professionalism!

Regarding California... I recently saw some photos from an old friend's shoot, and honestly, I was speechless at how TERRIBLE they were! There is no way I’d ever pay for that. You don't need to be some high-end pro to see it's garbage. On top of that, she waited nearly six months just to get them back. Who is even shooting out there? It's awful. And considering how much people shell out for these photographers for a single day's work, shouldn't everything be top-tier and delivered on time?

You can pick up some massive vases over in Boise, Iowa. Just Google Amazon... they have plenty of options on their site if you want to see what's available right now. 😉

Paul Myers78 said:Are you serious? I checked their website and they seem way more affordable than the other online retailers... though I haven't made the trip to Iraq yet. I'll head over there first and see for myself. I need some small supplies for my lapel pins since I make them myself. Do they even carry decorative ribbons in Iraq?

Hang in there, Iraq, because I’ve done the math and they are definitely cheaper.
For example, look at what I picked up: 100g of pearls cost the same as 200g in Iraq,
ribbons for lapel pins (for the girls) are either the same price or maybe just a few bucks more, and don't even get me started on the tulle and organza—those are nearly double the price elsewhere!
😲 Ugh, I need to head out to Phoenix soon, I just can't decide when... their hours are a total joke. Honestly, unless someone flies me there right after work, I won't make it before they close🙂 and they aren't even open on weekends.😢 I really need to check out their stock since they didn't bother putting all the photos online.

E floating candles are still stocked at Bauhaus in all sorts of colors, $8.00 in a bag...though I can't remember exactly how many come in one. IKEA only has white ones, but their bag is bigger than what you get at Bauhaus for the same price.. just some new info in case anyone needs it 😉

Paul Myers78 said:Just Google it... they do all their business online anyway. Same goes for a Goodwill Partner—it's all internet-based.

Honestly, don't even bother checking out a Goodwill Partner. I was just in New York City last week and swung by one... everything is twice as expensive as it is in Iraq! It's totally not worth buying anything there.🙂

Yeah, I totally forgot about those... I saw them in their catalog and they looked super affordable... honestly, cheaper than anywhere else👍

Just Google it... they handle everything online. You can even find a good partner—all through the internet.

IKEA has those floating candles available... check their website. Everything else is just random junk over at the Amazon in Naperville... I haven't made it there yet, but I'm planning to soon 😁 and Dell is affordable; I was actually thinking about picking up a few small things from them myself. As for anything else? Who knows 🤷

Paul Myers78 said:Man, I’ve been through some serious stuff...
But I have never dealt with such total rudeness in my life!! 🙂
My party is on April 28th, and I only found out they were closing because I heard about someone else they canceled on back when she was nine months pregnant! Where's the logic in that? Why tell her before me?! 🤷

And now, to top it all off, I'm fighting with them just to get my $300 deposit back. I'm going crazy!

😲 Good grief! They didn't even give you a heads-up?? Honestly, they probably wouldn't have told me either if I hadn't called them by pure chance... then they suddenly started apologizing. At least I got lucky and hadn't handed over the cash yet. That's something. Our party is a week after yours, 😁 so I really hope everyone gets their money back in the end. Unless they've already blown it all.

Jack Murphy7 said:Great, just great. Anything could have happened... This is actually the first time I’ve heard about them closing down a hall—usually, they’re popping up like weeds everywhere...

That happened because they don't actually own the building—Wells Fargo does. The bank went under, so they froze operations. Even the owners didn't see it coming.

Jack Murphy7 said:Did they at least refund your full deposit?

Luckily we didn't even put down a deposit because I insisted on waiting until after the holidays... and when I finally called to settle things, I certainly got an earful. Oh well, luckily we figured it out just in time.😁

Paul Myers78 said:Listen up, especially if you're young and this hits home—but honestly, everyone needs to hear this:
Fabula is CLOSING DOWN!!

Yeah, we found out the hard way! They canceled our wedding! 🙂 We struggled just to find a place... then once we finally tracked them down... nothing. 😢

Benjamin Hill10 said:Anyone know what the rates are at the Atlantic Ocean hotel (in Malibu, right?) for tonight?

I haven't called them personally... but digging through some forums, it looks like they're charging about $65—and that doesn't even include drinks! So I passed immediately. The place looks great, honestly. But I've heard nothing but bad things about their food quality. Who knows? I've never actually stayed there, so it feels stupid to claim I know for sure without any firsthand experience.
Olivia Lee5 said:Everything about this whole process sounds absolutely wonderful, but I have to admit, I’m still completely in the dark about who is going to handle my makeup. With my big day coming up in less than five months, I’m starting to feel the pressure! So, I am reaching out for some serious HELP!
I am on the hunt for a makeup artist—and please, I don't just mean someone good, I mean someone truly exceptional. Ideally, I’d love to find someone based in the San Francisco-Oakland area, and while it would be perfect if they offered mobile services to come to me, I suppose I can be flexible on that part.

I'm in the exact same boat, looking for info in that same area. 😁My wedding is in four months.
Hello! I need a little help here... if anyone knows anything. What’s the vibe at Hotel Castles in Monterey? Has anyone ever hosted a party there? And what about that Fabula Wedding Center in San Francisco? Does anyone know if it's any good? Honestly, I care most about the food. Help! This is driving me crazy! We're planning a small wedding... but the more time passes, the more I realize hosting 300 people might actually be easier than trying to pull off just 50. 🙂

Douglas King said:A dance studio? 😁
They can handle more people, but I bet they'd take 50! 🤷
The vibe is great, the food is decent, and the prices don't look insane... 😳

I checked out their ballet studio too... honestly, their food is incredible and the prices are actually reasonable. We’re definitely keeping them on our radar. The only catch is that their main hall is usually booked up during peak season, leaving us with just the space down by the restaurant. It's a bit cramped—can you really dance properly in a spot that small?

Justin Bennett61 said:When is the party? If it’s during a warmer month, check out a restaurant like Hillstone in Tampa—they have an excellent patio, and the indoor space is decent enough too.😉))

The Westin also does great outdoor parties on their terrace... they really handle everything for a fair price.😉

There's also this cute restaurant right on the waterfront in downtown Orlando, near the market—I can't recall the name off the top of my head—but I was at a small event there once and it was really good.😉)

I know Patrick's place... that doesn't work for me. The party is going to be smaller, but it won't just be a standard dinner—there's going to be a live band. Most restaurants aren't down for that. And catering isn't an option either because the venue is too small for them to bother. The Hilton is way too expensive, even if the setting is beautiful. Honeybee has a small hall, but it's absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, they haven't renovated it since the hotel first opened. 😲
Bottom line, the search continues. 🙂
