gentlewolf69 said:As for Missa, the girl working there is a bit dull—well, "a bit" might be an understatement... She’s constantly talking about herself and her work, acting like she’s this absolute superstar or something. My godmother used to use her for wedding arrangements, and she sent over pictures of exactly what she wanted: a mix of white, pink, and rosy tones with all sorts of textures—roses, orchids, hydrangeas, wildflowers, you name it... But the florist just handed her a bouquet made entirely of white and pink roses. It wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't at all what my godmother asked for. When you talk to her, she makes all these grand promises, but in the end, she just does whatever she feels like doing. She even told my godmother she’d make me two boutonnieres—one from fresh flowers and one from silk so I could keep it as a keepsake since I'm the maid of honor. In the end, there was no fresh boutonniere at all; I just ended up wearing this cheap little wristlet with three tiny flowers on it. Honestly, the favors we made for the guests looked more expensive than that little thing...
You should probably check out TNT Florals instead. I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. They’re located right below Victa, near that Burger King...

Those are definitely the priciest florists in San Francisco
Go check out the runlist over on Solin Street—they have pictures on Facebook if you want to take a look.

I honestly think it’s totally worth just making your own reverbs
You can pick up parts for around $2.00 and up
That way you end up saving some cash—plus, you actually get to build something that fits your specific taste
There are so many cool ideas floating around online, and there's plenty of variety if you hit up those specialized gear shops
I'm planning on getting my hands on about $0.67 units

Timothy Fisher50 said:The price for flowers seems to hover right around $1333 everywhere you look, especially if you’re aiming for that full look where every single table in the hall has a bouquet, plus the sweetheart table, the car decorations, the church arrangements, and individual bouquets...
There’s Mis and TNT over in San Francisco which are pretty well-known names, though personally, I wasn't ever huge on Mis, but hey, maybe you'll actually love them. It really just comes down to personal taste, I guess.

Oh, and guys, I seriously need some advice 😁
So, I’ve decided I’m going to try making the boutonnieres myself, partly because I love being hands-on and partly to save a little cash.
I went ahead and bought some ribbons in this pale pink shade and tried to fashion a little flower, but honestly, it looks terrible because I just can't get any kind of shape or expression out of it... :-( Thank goodness I haven't actually bought the flowers in that color yet.

What do you all prefer more—pink or cyclamen? Though lately, I've been leaning toward the darker tones, like an old rose... paired with white, I think that would look lovely. What colors are mostly showing up at your weddings? What do your boutonnieres look like?

Mine were ice gray with tiny white dots, a bow in that same shade, and a pearl on top
I actually gave up on that white and pink combo because literally EVERY wedding uses it
Why don't you just stick with the pale pink?
And what kind of flowers were you trying to work with that didn't turn out right?
I made bows for the girls—this is just to give you an idea and for the guys, it was more like this those ones were way too sweet, but I couldn't find that specific mesh ribbon anywhere...
I really hope it doesn't
The whole concept is still pretty much in its infancy 🙂 I'm definitely a DIY kind of person—I handle just about everything myself—except for baking cakes, obviously 😁
thanks!
Thanks, Noah Wright4 😉
I assume they sell to individuals too, not just big companies...
Does anyone know where I can find wholesale flower suppliers in San Francisco or the surrounding area?
I heard there might be some options over at FedEx, and I also came across a company online called Šarić...
Has anyone here actually bought flowers in bulk for making arrangements before?
If you have—how far in advance should I place an order, what are the prices usually like, and is there a minimum amount I have to buy?
Bradley Davis said:Has anyone been to the expo at Lava lately? Any new vendors showing up? I honestly wouldn't bother going if it's just the same old crowd you see at the Radisson. I managed to snag a wedding discount over at Glamour Spose there, so if anyone else has found some good deals today at Lava, let me know.

I went yesterday, and man, this expo is night and day compared to the one at the Radisson.
There’s way more variety too—florists, bakeries, jewelers, lighting, makeup... plus Vesna Spose is doing 30% off right now!

I ended up booking Tina Kalinić—so many people have recommended her, and if you check out her Facebook profile, you can see all the models she’s done makeup for, which I really love
Besides her, there's also Ivana Češljar (she's on FB too), and from what I've heard from other girls, they mention Ana Benzon, Lucija Spajić, Nada Gamulin, and a few others
As for hair, I honestly haven't a clue.
I might just head to my usual stylist downtown—what was it called... something like MIC Styling
You should probably call as soon as possible; I booked my appointment a month in advance, and when I was calling around before that, someone else was already fully booked
Prices usually run anywhere from $200 up to $117 depending on the type of lash extensions you want
Hairstyling is around $200-$300

Right now, the flowers are actually what's worrying me most
To be honest, I'm not even that stressed about the cakes or the dessert—as long as the cake looks pretty in the photos, I'm happy😁

So, I finally had my very first wedding dress fitting today 🙂
I hit up La Perla and Lipoto.
At La Perla, I spent the first 20 minutes just flipping through catalogs—once I realized I only had about 40 minutes left for the actual fitting, I rushed straight into the dressing room.
I ended up trying on about 8 or 9 dresses.
The selection is honestly amazing, though the prices... well, they're a bit much. The ones I actually liked were going for $5,000, $6,000, or even $2333 just to rent.
I’ve definitely decided on ivory; it just looks so much better with my skin tone. The consultant helping me was absolutely wonderful—really top-tier service, no complaints there.
She actually went ahead and pulled three specific dresses for me once she caught onto my style, which was such a relief because she wasn't one of those people who overdoes the compliments on every single gown.
Up until now, I thought I was totally against princess cuts (I still am 😁—that's just not my vibe), and mermaid styles too... but surprisingly, the mermaid cut was my favorite. It looks great on me, especially if it's without a corset but with sleeves, since my upper body is pretty slender.

Over at Lipoto, almost everything is ivory and the prices are way more reasonable, plus the staff was lovely. I think I actually found "the one" there... though I'm still planning to check out a few more places (maybe Sposa or Ivo Brnaz). The dress I fell for is $3,500 if I book it right now, otherwise, it's $3,900. And since they have an identical new one arriving in April, this one—which has only been worn once, by the way—will be $1000.

Once I figure out how to upload photos, I might post a 😍

I’ve actually never heard of this whole thing where you give gifts to parents and godparents before the ceremony.

BTW, are you guys heading to the Wedding day at the Radisson
tomorrow?

Mine is back in a small town in the Midwest—it's the church of John the Baptist, and the priest there is actually a really nice guy 🙂

Honestly, even just over the phone, they seemed really sweet to me 🙂
Yeah, I'll see you then 😉

Maria Bailey4 I gave them a call—they have an opening from Sunday, January 12th through the 14th
And then there's another window in February, from the 9th to the 11th.
You just need to show up that Sunday at 7:45 PM to get signed up... and that's really it. No advanced notice needed and you don't even need to bring any paperwork.
I didn't ask about the cost, I totally blanked on that part🙂 so maybe just bring some cash just in case.
I'm planning on doing the same thing during the second month myself...
Not really—I have a rough idea of what I want, but I’m planning to call a few salons after January 6th to set some appointments... then I'll start hitting up florists and bakeries, and finally get around to calling makeup artists
Wait, you haven't organized anything yet either? We are such slackers😁
Little butterfly my wedding is June 21st
and honestly, I’m starting to feel that low-key panic setting in—I’ve already got the venue, the church, the band, and the photographer locked in
Now I was thinking about getting the tuxes sorted, but I have absolutely no clue what to do for the favors, and I'm still just tossing ideas around for the invitations in my head... basically, I still need flowers, the cake, dessert, makeup, hair, shoes... I really hope I can get everything done in time
I’m slowly starting my hunt for the perfect wedding dress.
What are all the good bridal boutiques in San Francisco and the surrounding areas?
I know about Milo in Aspen, Coca-Cola downtown, and Madonna—though I'm not actually sure where she is located, maybe near the Hilton??
Are there any other shops in San Francisco, and which ones did you guys have the best experience with?

I’m still stuck in this decision-making loop... just scrolling through photographer portfolios and honestly, I can't make up my mind...
The Papaja option is already booked, but I did come across some work by photo Tonći Čerina (he seems great, and his shots are even better),
Personally, I’m drawn to that stripped-back, natural style—lots of raw emotion, kind of like Marinković Weddings—but they’re booked up too 🙂
To be honest, most of the photographers here in San Francisco don't really do it for me; their style feels way too staged and over-processed with Photoshop.
I’ve been combing through the entire forum, but I haven't seen anyone mention the photographer I mentioned above?
If anyone has experience with them, or even just a solid recommendation to help me out, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Wait a second, is Tonći actually available?
I personally love his work, and yeah, I've definitely heard of him.
Have you checked out Domagoj Blažević, MKlasan (look him up on Facebook), Zumba studio, Bonačić, or Jukica?
In my opinion, the smartest move would be to meet with whoever you're considering and look at a full wedding album or a physical book... and honestly, you probably need to hurry up 🙂 so you don't end up being forced to pick someone you aren't happy with.

Aaron Brown7 if I were you, I'd take a look at that shop with all the balloons—you know, the one right by that blue Anic building... if you know what I mean...

Maria Bailey4 which photographer and band did you end up booking?

Bradley King43 I'm honestly so happy you’re pleased with everything—I’ve seen their work before and it’s just incredible, I can't even find the words...👍
