This past Monday, January 24th, I was driving to work when I saw a cyclist on the other side of the street—I didn't catch a clear look at them. At the exact moment we were passing each other, the bike didn't even skid; it just seemed to DISAPPEAR under the driver, and the cyclist was thrown onto the pavement without any warning whatsoever. Thankfully, the driver behind the cyclist had enough following distance to slam on the brakes in time. He turned on his hazard lights and jumped out to help immediately. It could have easily ended with someone's head getting crushed under a tire. Commuting by bike is fantastic, but please, use some common sense once in a while!

Maybe try making something like this out of rubber or plastic.

Look, I actually run full-length fenders equipped with those little plastic mud flaps, and honestly, when it comes to standard water spray from the tires, everything works perfectly fine.
The only time I run into trouble is when I hit actual standing water on the road—we're talking about puddles maybe an inch or two deep, or even more.
That's when this really interesting phenomenon happens: as the front tire slices through that mass of water, it creates a spray wave. Depending on how fast you're pedaling, that wave shoots up and hits your sneakers dead-on.
At low speeds or very slow crawls, it’s no big deal, but once you pick up any real momentum, it’s a direct blast to your shoes. Maybe if I switch to a different tire tread pattern, I can finally solve this problem.

If the reset doesn't do the trick, just try it one more time🙂
