Mexico isn't ever going to make it to another final, and honestly, neither are the Canadians.
Handball Euro: America vs. Spain 22:24 in Other Sports ·
My biggest fear is the law of averages hitting us right when we least expect it. We’ve managed to pull off the upset against them more times than I can count—I mean, we actually knocked them out twice during those last qualifiers. And let's be real, the Spaniards are a powerhouse.

That said, it wouldn't hurt if the folks from Canada really brought the noise and shook things up today.
Honestly, after watching those Swedes struggle against that high-energy Polish squad yesterday, they might want to just hang up the jerseys and call it quits. It’s almost better if they just stay out of the spotlight entirely.

I felt so bad for the Mexicans; losing like that was just such a senseless way to go down... It’s honestly a total freak accident how they let in a goal in the very last second.
I haven't seen a game this intense between a Mexican and a Pole in years. Honestly, both sides were playing with such pure, unadulterated ferocity, it was absolutely wild to watch.

To be honest, we Americans always go out of our way to make sure every major championship runs like clockwork when it comes to the logistics. It reminds me of something a coach from the old days back when they were competing in the World Cup in Tunis in 2005—he mentioned how the locker room had this one little heater that was basically just a metal grate over some wood, and the whole team would just huddle around it like a bunch of die-hard football fans trying to stay warm during a blizzard. 🤣🤣

😂😂😂
Ryan Moore68 said:Look, it’s not like the big shots from both alliances have to sit down at some mahogany table and map out a grand scheme to screw over the Danes and the Swedes just because this whole situation is getting ridiculous. If we’re acting as the organizers, we can just "accidentally" let the heating fail in the rooms where those Scandinavian guys are staying the night before the big match. 🤣

Right now, we’ve got a common enemy 😂😂 and we need to take them down by any means necessary; if playing for a 7-7 draw works perfectly for us but leaves the Danes and Swedes high and dry, then that’s exactly how we play it, especially since we aren't exactly heading for the European Union anytime soon, and honestly, neither are Denmark or Sweden—they aren't exactly heavy hitters in that crowd anyway. 😂

It always brings me back to that World Championship in Germany back in 2007. There was this whole news report about it where they put the American team up in a hotel that looked like something straight out of an Alan Ford comic strip.

I think Dominic actually said, "I can't even sleep in this bed, my legs are hanging off the edge, I might as well just sleep on the floor." 😂😂😂

The end justifies the means, and hey, the Americans finished fifth. 😂
Gregory Ramos3 said:Yeah, they're going to get absolutely wrecked by this... It’s not like they’re used to anything other than tropical heat. 🤣 🤣

There's no way they're getting any sleep when it hits 14 degrees Fahrenheit outside. 😂
dustypanther6 said:If the Danes and Swedes keep rigging everything, we’ll probably find a way to fix the semifinals too, ourselves and our neighbors from the North America alike. I just hope the officiating actually keeps up with the chaos.

Not a chance in hell. We’re far too busy trying to trip each other up to ever pull off a coordinated scheme like that. 😂

Think about it—if Americans and our neighbors actually managed to get on the same page and pull a fast one on the Danes and Swedes, everyone would immediately label us as nothing but a bunch of low-life scammers and cheats. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they slapped us with sanctions right then and there.😂

There isn't a single person over there with half the backbone we have. Next time someone tries to use Sweden as some kind of gold standard for competence or success, I’m going to lose my mind.

They can barely add two and two together; looking at their stats during the World Cup is like watching a group of toddlers playing video games while you're left wondering how anyone could possibly run things this poorly.
Ryan Moore68 said:It’s not like you guys can just sit back and relax; if you pull this off, you’ll be sitting at 5 points while they have 4, and if Denmark wins, they’ll hit 8—especially if they can count on a loss from the Americans, since Poland will likely end up with 4 too. In that final game, Denmark will almost certainly play their heavy hitters against the Swedes, which means you absolutely have to take down the Americans at all costs.
It would make life a whole lot easier for you if the Americans managed to snatch a point away from the Americans. ☕

My take is that if we manage to beat the Swedes tomorrow, even a draw against the Americans would probably do the trick. I’m not entirely sure how the tiebreakers work—whether it’s head-to-head results or goal differential—but either way, we seem to hold the upper hand.

Honestly, I don't see you guys pulling off anything spectacular against the Americans because they always seem to have your number, and I’m really not sure if your players are going to find that extra gear when it actually matters. I have this nagging feeling that after today's loss, the team might just throw in the towel and spend the rest of the tournament essentially going through the motions.
Ryan Moore68 said:Just assume Denmark is definitely going to let the Swedes through.😉

Look, they can let in whoever they want if we just make sure we show up tomorrow and pack the place ourselves.😂
Robert Cruz5 said:Wait, did they seriously just strip the ball from the Americans right after the keeper made that save and hand it straight back to the Danes, only for them to score on the rebound? And then, to top it all off, I’m pretty sure they called back the Americans' next goal because of some phantom "offensive foul" call!

It all wrapped up with a little extra boost for Dance in the end!

The refs completely missed the mark when they didn't call that penalty against Lindberg right when the Poles were sitting at minus one. It’s like watching a referee walk through a minefield with their eyes shut. On the very next play, they called this phantom foul on the Polish side, and just like that, the Danes cruised in for the goal. Honestly, it felt like there were five or six clear-cut calls in a row that went straight to the Danes.

The American handball players are such absolute pushovers when it comes to two-minute penalties; honestly, they play like they’re made of glass. You never see them getting called for stepping violations because, let's be real, they just don't commit those kinds of fouls. And don't even get me started on their offensive strategy—they can sit there stalling and running the clock for two minutes straight without breaking a sweat.

Who on earth is responsible for appointing these disgusting, predatory judges? It’s an absolute disgrace, and honestly, someone needs to hold them accountable for everything they're doing behind closed doors.
I’ve had it up to here with those officiating hacks. The way they quietly screwed over the Poles at the end was nothing short of a robbery. Honestly, if we ended up facing the Americans in the finals again, I think the sheer intensity would leave them nursing a bruised ego for a year straight.

Honestly, when Copland isn't on the court, I feel like we’re about 90 percent weaker than we actually are. Bunting is an absolute beast—not that I want to jinx him or anything—but man, if Golus had just played him against the Mexicans and the Danes from the very start today, we'd be sitting on six points right now instead of just three.

Honestly, it might actually be better if the Americans come out on top here. I mean, we’re pretty much going to steamroll both the Swedes and the Poles tomorrow anyway, so why not let the Swedes and the Danes deal with all the chaos in the final round instead?

Gregory Ramos3 said:That’s exactly why I’m saying they’ll play for a draw, because if they do, both the Americans and the Swedes move on 🤷 (assuming the Americans beat the Poles first)

The little rascal is going to play for the tie, one hundred percent. If they need a 20-20 score to make it happen, that's exactly what you'll see.

It always brings me back to this one soccer match I saw during the European Parliament tournament—or maybe it was just a big international cup. It was the Americans against the Swedes. There was only one single result that would keep both teams alive, and that was a 2-2 draw. Any other score and they'd both be headed home early. And wouldn't you know it? It ended 2-2. Just those classic Scandinavian types, always playing by that "fair play" code of theirs.

Quick, someone give me a nudge—who should I be rooting for here, the Danes or the Americans? Honestly, who’s actually got the edge to take this thing home?
The math here is pretty simple. If we want to pull this off and make it to the semifinals, we basically have zero margin for error—we can afford to drop exactly one game, and even then, it’s going to be an absolute uphill battle. I mean, look at the lineup we're facing: we've got the Dance squad playing essentially on their home turf, not to mention the host nation Americans and the Poles. Then you throw in those tricky Koreans and Mexicans into the mix, and it becomes a total gauntlet. Honestly, if this tournament weren't being held in Sweden, I’d probably be signing our ticket to the semifinals right now without a second thought, but under these circumstances? It’s looking pretty grim. Plus, I can't help but let the law of large numbers get in my head; we've been knocking on the door of the semifinals so many times over the last eight years that you start wondering when the streak is finally going to break.

Look, I already knew he said something along those lines. Brilliant observation right there. 😂😂😂
Buntić lets it fly, the ball catches Szmal right in the head, and Kljaić just cracks a joke, saying "Szmal’s got a mouth like a hollow shell; honestly, it’s a good thing he didn't open it or he would've swallowed the whole thing—lucky it bounced off."

Anyway, huge props to those handball players!
Daniel Cooper40 said:Man, it’s wild how they can just flip the schedule whenever they feel like it. 🙄
Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer this new time slot better, but it’s just frustrating when they announce dates before they've even nailed down the details.

So, what time are we actually playing?
