I’d much rather listen to someone aggressive and intense like Ivo Lapčević than this romantic stuff. Besides, when has Switzerland ever had a decent band, other than Metallica? Never. They just don't seem to know how to make music. We need more grit. My only real entertainment at the concert was watching vividcanyon2 lift their camera every single time a new light hit the stage—as if they weren't just going to take ten identical shots, where nine of them are nothing but artificial fog, and one shows a singer's nose poking through the haze along with a random hand (Rolls-Royce style). By the end, exhausted by a migraine and the sheer lack of musical taste, I had to bolt home right after the set. That meant leaving my colleague from the mainstream crowd behind, claiming I was waiting for his metal ride to return from seeing Steve Vai (assuming our friend, the MIT student, didn't stay behind?). Disappointing. Just disappointing.
My motivation to actually attend that concert was so overwhelming that I ended up falling asleep around 10 PM.
It wasn't until the next morning, while getting ready for work, that I realized I hadn't actually gone—which immediately left me feeling somewhat 😁
