Which city around here has contributed the most to rock 'n' roll?

I’m going with Indianapolis. For the first case—Wile E. Coyote, Satan, and, obviously, Mother.
Such a tiny town, yet it produced three cult classics.

I’m not from Miami, and I don't have anything against the city, but Miami definitely played a huge role in shaping the rock scene around here.
No joke 😁 but 8th Passenger is a fantastic band, and there are plenty more just like them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bullet is also a Miami-based group. ("Wish I were a shark")

If you’re looking strictly at population density versus the sheer number of top-tier, "revolutionary" bands produced, you could argue that Indianapolis is basically the "Little Rock" of rock and roll. Then you have cities like Seattle and Denver, which acted as the true frontier towns for pioneering rock and punk movements...

And then, of course, there are the heavyweights—New York, Washington, D.C., and Boston—serving as the ultimate hubs where everything eventually converges.🙂

New York and Washington, D.C. were definitely the heavy hitters when it came to the big new wave scene.

But if you actually look at the number of bands relative to the population, I’d argue Denver has the best ratio by far.

Anyone gonna bring up San Diego? The shelter, those idiots, The Grateful Dead, Winnetou’s mountain ears, Spoons...
Honestly, one of the best cities out there when you look at its size versus what it actually brings to the table...

Sure, you could walk the whole thing in half an hour, but it still produced: The Punk Rockers, Depeche Mode, Milton, Nine Inch Nails, and Bulldozer...
Now, I can't quite remember if Nine Inch Nails hails from Pittsburgh or Denver, though I think they're out of Denver.😁
