I was wondering if someone could help me make sense of my mother’s orthopedic report? If you could skip the heavy medical jargon, I’d really appreciate it.
She’s 67 and broke her fourth toe on her right foot about a month ago.

Radiology Report
----------------
The foot X-rays show significant widespread demineralization, along with hallux valgus. There is also evidence of an old fracture in the proximal phalanx of the fourth toe on the right foot. Some of the joint spaces between the tarsal bones appear somewhat narrowed.
On the left foot, there is an uneven contour at the head of the first metatarsal bone, accompanied by a narrowed joint space and signs of subluxation toward the proximal phalanx. Additionally, there is complete luxation between the head of the second metatarsal and the proximal phalanx, and potentially between some of the interphalangeal joints as well.
Thanks so much for the response; things feel a lot more settled now.

I’ve got gallstones, and I had this blood work done because I'm using AVISTA for osteoporosis.

The rest of the panel looks like this:
Hematology:
--------------
WBC = 4.5
RBC = 4.3
Hemoglobin = 119
Hematocrit = 0.36
MCV = 82 L
MCH = 27 L
MCHC = 333
RDW = 14.1
Platelets = 209
ESR = 7

Coagulation Panel:
--------------
Prothrombin Time = 99
INR = 0.98

Metabolites and Support:
--------------
Total Bilirubin = 8.5
Creatinine = 63

Lipid Panel:
--------------
Cholesterol = 4.9
Triglycerides = 1.11
My mother just went in for some routine blood work. The doctors flagged her liver numbers as abnormal and recommended she get an ultrasound to check things out. I was wondering if anyone here could help me make sense of these results:

Enzymes:
Test - Result - Unit - Ref. Range
AST - 39 H - U/L - (0-31)
ALT - 61 H - U/L - (0-36)
GGT - 20 - U/L - (0-38)

It’s pretty clear that the AST and ALT are elevated, but I’m struggling to wrap my head around what that actually means or how much of a cause for concern this really is. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

P.S. My mother doesn't drink alcohol at all, nor does she touch greasy food—she basically follows a strict macrobiotic diet.
